LG D415 (L90) Won't Charge - LG Optimus L90

My battery died yesterday so I plugged my wall charger into the D415. However, after returning a few hours later, I find that the D415 has not charged at all.
I wiggled the plug around while it was still in the D415 and no luck.
I tried different chargers; connecting the phone to my computer to charge, etc. Nothing is working. And I know that my other charger works since that's my iPad charger ... and I just charged my iPad to 100%. The only remaining possibilities are two broken charging cables (remember, I used two separate chargers) or that my LG L90 simply bit the dust.
What could be wrong with it? Is this a common issue? I've already tried taking out the battery and putting it back in after a while. I need my phone back!

Are you plugging your android USB cables into iPhone bases? Don't do that
If they have a local store ask them to swap out barrery for a look. Corporate office might not likebtovdo that_ try a local phone repair shop

I had a problem where the Tilt wouldn't charge until I deleted a waiting voicemail and a few unread emails. This was on a cooker ROM but check it out.
Hope that helps.
check the connector on the phone and see if it is broken I remember on my first two tilts it broke and I had to get new ones (warranty) and then the third ones broke but i used a small screwdriver and put the pieces together again.

Don't throw away your old battery because it's probably not to blame and you can then have a spare. How does it go if you attempt to charge via a USB cable connected to the PC? Will it still connect via Activesync over USB? Do you still get the orange light on the left of the phones earpiece when you're attempting to charge it? These are some steps that'll help to narrow down whats going on - let us know.
Had this problem using on of the original M2d (roms).
Now im running hyper dragon w/ m2d cab and all is well. Ive also experience this from a bent pin. (dont drink coffee for 1 day prior to attempting mini-usb surgery!)
umm.. when connected to the charger the orange light is on i bought a charger on ebay and it charges the batteries up so now i have two batteries using one as a spare when one is charging. the usb doesnt seem to be broken. a lil background i spilled water on it a lil while back but the phone works fine i have a feeling that that may have something to do with not being able to charge but why would the light switch over to orange then when i charge it. sorry if this seems really noooob
My Kaiser failed recently with not being able to charge. Most of the time it didn't charge but if you wiggled the connector around the charge light came on, then went off moments later as the connection/wire combo moved. I contacted Orange and they sent me a replacement. No problems since.
Most of the time my PDA goes into a charging cradle but when that fails I use the car charger/other mains lead.
As for being a Noob, we all have to start somewhere

My fix
Stuck my stylus in there by mistake and could only cvharge if i wrapped the cord around.
I recently bought a rechargable battery pack for my daughters wii, and it came with two usb cords (from target $26.99), and one day i plugged my tilt in and it charged no problem, been using this ever since (November to now).
Cnn.cn sells the usb part of the phone, Im just to afraid to solder the old one off and the new one on. Might try it one day!
I have the same problem currently. I plug in and the light comes on, but the battery does not charge. I'm waiting to borrow a friends battery so I can reflash to standard to send back to HTC!
I got my phone wet last week and I am having the exact same problem. I have a battery charger and 2 batteries so I am doing the same thing as you but it's getting a bit old.
I dont have a warrany so I'm hoping to find some good ideas here as to what (if anything) can be tried.
Update:
I decided to crack open the case tonight and take a look inside. Unfortunately I couldn't find any youtube video tutorials so I had to just go carefully and not force anything. I ended up only having to take apart the motherboard side (keyboard side). Once I had the phone completely apart, I taped a known good battery in and connected the charger. A physical inspection passed, no burns or shorts that I could see and no funny smells. After about 30 minutes of charge time, I unplugged the charger and the battery power had increased 10%. Sweet.
It turns out that the battery I had in the phone when it got wet may have been ruined though. That one will not charge even in a standalone battery charger. That's allot cheaper than the alternatives I was thinking about though. The Fuze was really calling my name today for a couple hours. Saving $500 though feels pretty good.

TYTN 2 won't turn on

Sorry this was previously posted in the wrong forum, mis described as a tytn!
My son is unable to turn his tytn2 on, I think the battery has run down completely, as when I turn it on, I get the "smart mobilty" flash screen with the RGB data, then it turns off as if completely flat, when I plug the charger in, the led charging lighton the top of the phone does not light. At the moment I have tried removing the battery for a while to see of that "resets" it, I have also tried soft reseting but no joy yet.
Doing a bit of research, it looks like the fuse may have blown, I have emailed a repair company who have quoted £40+vat + £6 postage each way, which works out at £58, is the fuse the likely cause, could I get fixed anywhere else, looking on the htc manuals it would appear to definitely not be a diy fix (not for me anyway!)

Sounds very familiar so far... no blown fuse involved here however, it was a blown HTC supplied original mains power supply unit in my case - the light on the power supply stopped working also. Although I could have had this replaced for free under warranty, I didn't want another of the same type (which is all HTC said they'd provide), so I splashed out on an £8.99 Power Supply from a company based in Aylesbury. It has a shiny black plastic case (nicely matching the TyTN II case), works at both 110 and 230 Volts and came with 4 interchangable mains socket adapters for use with different mains sockets around the world. Before you rush out to get another PSU however, check if the light on the power supply still works. Will the phone charge if you connect it to a PC via the USB cable and does the phone light come on in this case (note that the phone doesn't need to be powered on to charge the battery this way, as long as the PC it's connected to is up and running)? If not, you may have a damaged USB port on the TyTN II and although this can be repaired, if it's out of warranty, a repair centre would need to do the work if you're not handy with that sort of thing. HTC have a repair depot in Kingston, Milton Keynes that should be able to do this sort of thing. Depending how your results go with the above tests, you could give them a call, the number is in your manual.
I have tried 2 chargers + the usb, no lights on phone, if I plug in my TP2 it charges correctly, so I think the fault is with the phone, it is now getting as far as the windows screen then dying (presumably after standing for a day or so the battery has recovered enough to go a little further) so the fault would appear to be somewhere in the charging circuit.

Which includes the USB port on the bottom of the phone. Have a careful look for any bent or broken pins there. It's also worth searching here on xda-dev for broken Kaiser USB port threads because this is a topic which has been posted about many times.
If you don't want the expense of getting the phone repaired and can make do without a working USB charging port, you can always buy a Kaiser charging cradle that comes with an additional battery bay to use as a spare charger then just use the battery bay to charge a spare battery and swap them over when reqd. You could also use bluetooth for Activesyncing (buying a bluetooth dongle for the pc to be synched with if needed).
My sons 8925 did the same thing.. and even though his USB looked to be "perfect" it was the problem... It stopped taking a charge from it.. out "work around" involved ordering one of those phone docking stands which had a seperate battery charger and an extra battery or 2.. Then he just had to swap batteries when one died and charge it in the stand.. We did a 3 battery... 1 for in the phone, one for in his wallet so he had one to swap anywhere, and 1 for in the charger.. it worked well (and he is a heavy user of the Wifi and GPS and such)..I hope this helps you out!

Gear one dead

So my galaxy gear one did not turn on this morning! No idea why! Any idea what to do? Odin and kies won't find it. Is it possible to get it repaired and how much would something like that cost me!

You need to charge it internally, This issue is mostly a battery problem, i had the same issue the Device it dead, or you can tell a store that the battery is dead, and if they can jump start it once again.
Just Charge it with Positive 1v and negative 1v cables to the pin sockets inside it, if you do not want to go do this, see if there is a Repair shop nearby.
Let me know if you need anymore help.

Can I buy or make me a cable like that?
Would it be ok if I cut a charging cable and switch the wires?
Plug it into a computer, somehow that works when my gear fully drains and wont charge with the normal charger
Mine went dead last week also, I've been researching threads and most say charging via USB from laptop or desktop (USB 2.0 seems to be preferred) will bring it back to life. I've also read about hair dryers being helpful. None of that worked for me.
I read earlier that separating the motherboard from the battery could be helpful. I just did that (literally 20 minutes ago) and while the screen isn't on, nor do I see any indication of charging, my computer let me know that a USB device was connected this time.
I'm leaving it sit overnight (I still haven't screwed the back back on yet) to see what happens.
Well I left it overnight and still no life. I've gone even further and completely removed the battery now and will leave it out of the watch for a while and reassemble it later tonight and then leave it overnight again fully assembled in the charger connected to my PC via USB.
Another day of charging via USB after completely removing the battery and still no sign of life. I think I'm giving up. The computer still recognizes something is attached but that's as far as I get.

All you need is two telephone wires the same type you would typically use in the USB Cable and Insert on the two copper sockets inside
Let me know if you need anymore assistance.
Mine completely overnight and then I didn't feel like charging for a few days. After a few days I went to go charge it and I could not get it to charge. I tried roughly 5-6 different chargers/cables and all sorts of different usb ports on laptops, car chargers, and nothing work. In middle of moving I took my chromecast off of my tv and remembered it was a microusb charger. Plugged it into my watch cradle and it came back on.
Connect your gear watch to USB port on your Notebook , after 5 min open charging cradle , while pressing gear watch to charging cradle try to turn on watch from power button with plastic card. After several attempts gear watch will turn on , close charging cradle and continue charging.
It seems to me there is a problem with the battery. Maybe you battery is dead. You need to remove the battery from your watch and keep it in the sun light for 15 min then try to charge it. If it doesn't work properly then contact with service center.

Galaxy Gear Battery Not Charging

Hey everyone. So upon switching from Apple to Android, I remembered the Galaxy Gear I had and was enthralled to try it out once again.
I tried using the cradle that it used to charge on - Quick screen flash but didn't charge.
Took it apart, pulled the battery, put it back together, threw it on the charger - Didn't charge.
Took the cradle apart (3rd party one as I got this from a friend), cleaned the contacts, put it back together - Still nothing.
Lost the cradle parts so I stripped a spare Samsung microUSB cord, pulled the battery out, put the 2 wires on the correct contacts of the chip that is attached to the battery, held them in place whilst having everything still plugged in - Still nothing.
Tried charging it with a wireless Samsung charging pad - Still nothing.
I'm left with all the components of the watch, everything except the cradle. I was wondering if there was a way to charge the battery separate from the watch, maybe putting the actual battery directly on the wireless charging pad and seeing if it will charge, or if I could take the screen portion with the opposing contacts that lead to the mobo and see if anything happens. No, don't have money for a newer one. No, don't have money for another battery/cradle. Any ideas? I really like this watch. It was working fine a month ago. It was rooted with nullrom but I restored it w/Odin and it worked like new. I left it uncharged for a week or so and when I wanted to use it again, wouldn't charge.
Same problem i left my gear for 2 weeks without charging and now it doesn't charge
I too have had this problem. What seems to work (worked for me) is to charge you watch from a desktop/laptop usb port.
I had this problem . Thinking about it, I hasn't used the watch in over a month. I bought a third party charger for about $5 from amazon and it charged it fine. All is well with the world again
Some problem here. The only thing that works its charging with my laptop.

Note 5 abruptly stopped charging, wireless works

As with other similar posts, I seem to be having USB issues. Neither charging cables nor OTG show any signs of functionality. Wireless charging, however, does seem to be working but I must keep my phone out of its case. Just like the others, I saw a few persistent popups from Samsung VR to take a little tour, and twice I went back to what I was doing. Hadnt seen it since, then all of a sudden while connected to a normal note 3 charger, it began to rapidly switch between charging and disconnected. Unprovoked of course, and when I went to inspect and reinsert the cable, it began again after 2 or 3 minutes. I unplugged it, promptly tested with the original charger and had no luck. Then on to many more cables and charging bricks, laptop ports and such.. no action. Tried OTG flash drive, nothing. Last ditch effort, tried wireless charging with the phone off and its working. Has any headway been made in this issue? It seems software related, and at the very least carriers could acknowledge it if so. I am not under warranty, and this is an incredible loss for me as it effectively neuters my cell phone. I need to charge while out and about to run my business and wireless isnt very portable... Please help XDA
I have isolated the problem to a software issue undoubtedly... Correct me if im wrong. The wireless charging is interrupted when a cable is plugged into the usb port, indicating that it is not faulty and the phone recognizes the hardware. At least according to my personal logic.
EDIT : The Induction charging appears to be on its way out as well. Only working intermittently, and rarely at that. I fear the worst brick possible (one not caused my my own tampering)
Desperate bump plus a bonus question: what would you consider a fair price to pay for USB port repair? Considering giving that a try, maybe I have bad solder or something. I don't have UV glue and all that other necessary stuff to check it out myself.
So, I think I have a the same issue. I had Note 5 (DUO) which was 8 months old and it just suddenly stopped charging. It charged via USB only if the phone was turned off. However, it seems that it charged wireless. Because i was traveling, in the pinch, business meetings etc, could not waste time figuring out the issue and purchased another Note5(DUO), in August. Well, just today, it developed the same simptom as the previous one: it stopped charging via USB when the phone is on, it only charges when the phone is off! I see that there are no replies to the OP message, but adding my issue here in hope that there will be some response....
