How big is it?? It's still 4.4.4

Hopefully it fixes unacceptably poor reception y connectivity issues...

Wishful thinking - apparently we get 5.0 in November... which starts tomorrow in NA, already the 1st in Australia (where the N910U shipped).
I'm just hoping it fixes the damn battery life and connection issues... anything else is bonus.

Never experienced recent menu delay of more than 0.3 - 0.5 s, so I can't really say.

Hmm same for me (never experienced 3 sec delays like other people say) but its deffinetly not instant so i assume mini delay is still there

Who is having reception issues??? My Note 4 has had excellent reception, it gets both HSDPA+ and LTE (depending on what is avail. in the area) even in areas that can be patchy on my iPad 4.
Battery life has been great to.
Looking forward to NJ5, I have just debranded my Note 4 by loading a BTU UK ROM, going to change CSC later so that I get OTA Updates with no problem.

Nope I'm pretty certain it'll not be November. If it even comes out for the Note 4 in December I'll be happy. More likely early 2015, maybe January.

Yeah, I'm not expecting anything soon, but we'll see... Sammy has had to work hard to keep their sales up, so maybe a little extra effort to get 5.0 out will give them a push.

5.0 isn't released for the Nexus brand and Nexus 6 won't be out before the end of november.
No manufacturer will push 5.0 before Google so don't except to get it this month.

Downloading now, I have a 910U and I think we need this update. It has to be a bugfix release. Hopefully and updated modem? Something I think in the 910U roms is killing battery life. I know mines pretty bad.

I won't be able to update until later tonight, but post if you notice any differences!

Recent apps menu has absolutely no lag no. Its instant. That's the only difference I've noticed so far. The phone is lightning. So glad i didnt buy the local australian snapdragon version. Theres litterally like a 2 to 3 second delay in opening some menu's and apps.

They will just point you here.
HTML:

And tell you it's TBD. My old co-worker who now works at Rogers looked into it and apparently Samsung isn't releasing that information. As he said it's policy it classify devices that don't get support as TBD as to not piss off customers. Aka it's a coin toss if they are going to release it.
AT&T isn't the same as our devices. The closest we can get is T-Mobile. If and when TMO gets the update we won't be far behind. At least we shouldn't.
Yeah, I know of that link and they have pointed me there before. I've had a dialog going with them actually. I would like to rattle their cages "in public" as much as possible and Twitter is a good way to do that. I really was surprised to just get the Note 4 about 2 weeks ago, thinking it was the current flagship phone and then find out they have no idea when they are going to release Lollipop on it. Just bizarre.
A coin toss? How can a phone that hasn't been out for even 5 months yet not get Lollipop?

I was referring to the 5.0.1 update. It's very possible they will just lazily skip it and go for 5.1
If thats the case we most likely won't see a LP update this year. Remember Samsung had the oportunity to start LP in June and it has taken them 9 months just to get to this point. Considering no Canadian Carriers have been informed of the update even arriving, meaning they have not tested them and that in turn could create another month or two of testing. It's also been disclosed that Samsung has no plans on working on 5.1 at the moment. Let's assume that they wait to give us 5.1 instead of pushing 5.0.1 out. Since they have not even started 5.1 we can assume they might start in two months (Highly doubt it would be that quick). Then if we take the first time frame we add another 9 months plus the fact they wait a month after they build (check the build logs) we are at a total time frame of 12 months out for a single update. Skipping 5.0.1 would mean a total of 21 months of development time before the first actual LP update.
Of course remember this is all assumptions and theory based on what we have seen so far and I could be totally off. At least I hope I am.

Just the usual AT&T crap... Google Service needs to be updated after Lollipop installs, GS took multiple attempts to finally install, otherwise you keep getting a notice that the update is required.. Not sure if was just me but I had to reboot a few times to finally get the Install option to pop up..
So far I'm liking Lollipop, Visually much more appealing..

The update bricked my watch. I noticed it wasn't connecting with my phone so I reset device. Now it won't boot beyond the LG logo. Accessing the recovery mode of the bootloader did nothing. Still progressed to the logo and then died.
I received update too, installed it successfully, I feel watch smoother but I don't know if it is due to cleaned cache etc.

Ahh! But 2 days ago I had done a software update which was around 500mb. I thought that must be the December Security Patch. So getting a 800mb update just after the earlier update made me a bit happy that I was finally getting Oreo ahaha. But I guess..Samsung..? Always late in Upgrades.

T-Mobel version just got the September 1, 2019 update.

Kudos to T-Mobile and LG for getting the update out fast. Hope they follow-up with an Android 10 upgrade shortly.

My LG G8 ThinQ LM-G820TM just received the October update.
That's two updates within a three month span!
My fears of being stuck with a phone with great hardware but outdated software are subsiding.
I'm not updating since I believe the October update blocks an potential exploit that could be used for rooting.
