Help going back to stock , and going for S-off

i am currently on cm.10.1 and i want to go back to stock so i can S-off the device
i don't have a backup of the original firmware , and i've found the RUU for the phone but i don't think i can just use that right ?
i have to find a zip file of the stock rom correct ? and then lock the bootloader and then S-off the phone correct ?
then i can put the RUU on the SD card and go back to original stock ?
can anyone point me to the correct answer ? i just finished putting the Rezound my girlfriend has back to stock , but i was able to find a .zip of the global rom they have for it
anyone wanna help me out ? i was on the ICS rom last

goal is S-off , but i don't know how the method would be on the vivid
for the rezound i had a global rom Zip i flashed with amon-ra and then i was able to S-off and then run a RUU and everything worked out

and most of the answers are for people already S-off
i am S-on , and there was only one thread i found a rooted Stock rom zip file , and i was just hoping someone around here had all the things i need sitting around
im trying the rom located here to try and S-off

yea im having problems.........i relocked the bootloader
now i can't boot into any rom , and im trying to flash the stock rom zip via hboot and it is not going through
i tried it on the computer , and it says i can update and it will start the process and go into the boot loader , then it says failed and wants to start a recovery process
any help is appreciated , and i have been reading every post i can find on the issue , as i just did this to my girlfriends phone last night..... this is slighty different as many links are dead , and im having trouble finding everything i need
i was on TWRP recovery , but now the bootloader is locked so i have no recovery at all , im going to try and flash the zip with a locked bootloader now , but i don't anticipate it working

ive pulled the factory RUU's from multiple threads , and i can't get them to install
i've been looking for a zip of the stock rom that i can try and flash on a unlocked bootloader so i can S-off , but i haven't found one i can get to boot

i flashed the boot.img from the zip , and then tried to flash the zip file via TWRP and it would not boot at all.... hung at the screen after the beats splash screen
do i need to flash the stock recovery ? i don't have it if so ........ any advice what to try next ?

Ruu allows me to initiate update ...... starts sending to phone then says sending forever

all the Ruu's i download send for a long time and then fail
i was not on a stock rom before trying any of this

found a zip i was able to flash of the stock rom finally worked from hboot with a locked bootloader
now i can get to s-off

I don't know why you would have such a hard time finding the right RUU. It's still on HTC's website for God's sake.

i recently turned my HTC One into a Google Play Edition with the Conversion RUU Zips and just wanted to get back to WWE Stock and used a RUU from HTC for this, but everytime and on multiple devices I was getting the error:
"fastboot-htc.exe has stopped working..." and the whole program just crashed. (the phone wasnt bricked, even after many times.)
at the Beginning of flashing the RUU.
I solved it by flashing a Combined TWRP Custom Firmware Package from this thread (use Combined, NoWipe ZIP's with same version of ruu) and then repeat the RUU.. and this time it worked. (List of all Firmware)
I select the version that the RUU was going to flash (for example at mine: 4.19.401.9 for the same RUU version)
[* also with unlocked bootloader and S-OFF, no need to change that!]
Maybe the RUU doesnt like the GPE Firmware, but this was the solution.

[Q] problem with getting calls & cell internet

Hello ,
For the last 2 months i have a problem receiving calls and going on line on the cell internet (wifi ok) .
At first i thought its because i changed carriers but going back to the old carrier and trying a new one didn't solve the problem ,
Then i thought its because i updated to the ARHD 71.1 rom , but going back to stock didn't solve the problem either .
So now I'm stuck , when i try to call sometimes it takes up to 1 minute until the phone is actually calling , my family and friends says that allot of the times they cant call me its like the phone is closed , even if i have full signal .
I don't know maybe i did something to my Radio or Firmware , i tried reading many guides and doing so much updates to the firmware and nothing helps .
If some one has any idea what should i do , or had this problem and solved it please help .
my htc one m7 is international bought in Germany Unlocked (i don't live in germany it was on vacation)
i don't care if i have to wipe everything and going back to stock , or stay with the ARHD 71.1 , i just want to solve this .

Thanks for the reply, I noticed that it's missing for a while now, after I tried to update firmware. Maybe it's related to the problem, but after I find the correct ruu, what should I do with it? I mean how to install it and what dose it do?

So I accidentally deleted my os, rom, everything and for the past day or so I have been trying to go back to stock and I simply can't. I downloaded both an RUU.zip and exe and made sure the android-info.txt file had the same modelid and cidnum but it still fails. I will post images below of where my problem arises. I have s-off unlocked bootloader and was able to go from 1.56 hboot back to the 1.44 hboot no problem. In the second image I tried using an RUU, stock odexed rom, and then a firmware update but all failed . The errors occur when checking the info parsing or model id.

first you can not use "fastboot flash zip" to flash odexed rom or any other roms, they must be flashed using a custom recovery. Only firmware pacakge and ruu can be flashed this way.
I also see that your version main is 1.10.605.10 which is for verizon phones MID: PN0731000 (yours is PN0713000) and cid VZW__001 (yours is T-MOB010). It looks like you have flashed a verizon firmware on your t-mobile phone which is not a good thing.... Dont know what you have previously done to this phone but it looks like you are trying to hard brick it
Dont understand neither why you are trying to flash the 6.09.401.5 odexed rom that doesnt match your phone info...

use one of them and see if your phone can recover (I hope that flashing the wrong firmware did not bricked it)

I really don't know what I'm doing and I'm having major issues with trying to return to stock android. I need to return to stock because my carrier cannot add me into their plan unless I have it back to stock for some reason.
Anyways, right now there doesn't seem to be any ROM in the phone at the moment.
I tried to use the Sprint HTC One M7 RUU files mentioned in Tim Schofield (Qbking77)'s youtube video on how to return to stock HTC One M7. (I cannot post links at the moment.)
I followed all the instructions and it showed a screen that said:
Verify that you want to update the ROM version:
From:
Image version: 5.03.651.3
To:
Image version: 1.29.651.10
I then clicked next and kept following the steps then waited 10 minutes. Then it said that the update had failed.
I just need to know how I can return to a stock ROM. I'm incredibly desperate please.....

the other one you are trying to use is too old and if your s-on then you cant back flash, also if your bootloader is currently unlocked then you need to lock it before running the RUU.
