Google play store - X 2014 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Just received the new 2014 X and have had it a couple days. Everything seems to be great with this phone this far.
My play store is still 4.9.13 and when I click the version it says it is up to date. My OGX has version 5 something.
What version are you on?

OTA update to improve camera - sprint?

So I'm seeing these articles about the sprint moto x getting an update but I haven't received or seen much talk about the sprint version on here getting that update. Is it still only hitting certain areas? Could someone maybe get us sprint users that are unlocked get a stock system.img and boot.img with that update applied?

Please god. I've been trying to find ANYTHING that can put this update on my phone. Nobody has posted the update.zip or any of the images or anything. I've seen people say they've received the update, but that's about it. I really want this update.
Minus the release notes I have seen very little about this update from anyone that has it. I would like to hear what people are seeing.

Me too. It seems like they're rolling it out one phone at a time.

Yeah as soon as I get it I'm dumping it here. I don't know why it's taking so long.

I have not seen much from the Tmobile people also. I am wondering if they sent it to a small number of phones as a test.

Ok so I got the update a few days ago and it failed to install because I'm unlocked and rooted and all that jazz. So I grabbed the zip file out of /cache and uploaded it here:
https://db.tt/oqP3l1Qs
For what it's worth, the last few times I've checked for an update, my phone says I'm up to date even though I'm still on 4.2.
Edit: Dropbox instead of Drive
Edit: Just realized this zip is the same software version I already have. Then why did my phone tell me it was an update to be downloaded?
Sent from my XT1056 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I know it isn't much help but I was in the Sprint Store yesterday and their demo phone had the update sitting ready to install. They wouldn't let me get ahold of it and take it off though. Could have very easily done so in a few minutes.

Damn, I just ordered mine and thought this was released already. I have the HTC one and was tired of waiting on a camera fix.

Im booting up right now right after flashing to read my build prop and build number...Will also check camera performance.
Someone please go to their about phone section and tell me their kernel version, everything in their please, post an SS!
Someone posted that the initial roll-out was a test run and only sent to a fraction of Sprint users. The main roll-out is supposed to happen on October 2.

If you a running a sprint Moto X, could you take an SS of your about phone sections so I could see your system and kernel version please. The update I just installed has appeared to upgraded my kernel version as well, and I want to make sure I am accurate when I say that.

Interesting. The name of the zip says 139.12.2 but it brought you up to 139.14.4. I guess it was mislabeled.
Sent from my XT1056 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Anyway to install the OTA zip without root? Never done that and don't want to root just yet.
EDIT* Never mind... found out how to enter recovery mode and select update from zip without rooting the device.
Confirmed as well - this is 139.14.4

So...
Can anyone tell me if it's possible to use this update on Verizon branded Moto X's? I don't know if this update includes radios or basebands. Also, where the hell is the tmobile apk for the camera??
Update applied. Worked just fine just like the other guy said. Anyone who wants the update can do this through stock recovery.
Sent from my XT1056 using Tapatalk 4
So can I get the step by step instructions to apply this manually. I have downloaded the file from the drop box link here in this thread. I do not have rot nor is my boot loader unlocked. I can get phone into recovery via fast boot and selecting recovery but all I get is an android laying down with an error stating no command. I have moved the file to the root of my SD card but am unable to put it into cache obviously without root access.

4.3 Sprint update rolling out in Missouri (Downloading as I type)

Just as the title says. It is 574.05MB Software version 3.04.651.2. Go and get it. I was hoping someone in our fine community had this rooted already.
Got mine in KY earlier today, haven't had a chance to play around with it as of yet.

I was also hoping someone has a root method for this! It's available in St. Louis, MO for anyone interested in downloading the update. It's being pushed to the phones but if it hasn't hit yours yet you can manually update it ota!

5.0.2 around the corner for nexus 5!

5.0.2 Factory images already released for nexus 7 (2012)
https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images
I just made update on 5.0.1 10 mins ago.
Limber up the fingers...
But probably in 1, 2 or more weeks.
This is just the 5.0.2 for the N7 2002.
Lately Google is "not" developing the factory images "asynchronously".
However I prefer these weeklies / monthlies releases instead of one OTA every 4 months.
Sent from my Nexus 5
Nice, just got 5.01 a couple of days ago though. Rushing to fix stuff before the Christmas break I guess.
According to rumors on multiple tech sites Google is working on 5.1 and is to be released in februari 2015.

Same as it has been with 5.0 and 5.0.1. There's nothing in 5.0.2 that improves battery life.

Ahh ok ...thanks but I guess I'll just wait until you ready to release it looks promising though
I've put the 5.01 factory image on a clean phone and the gallery bugs still there. Camera is OK for now. I found a gallery that's better than stock and works! Links to the camera Too. Anymore problems and it's back to kitkat. Never once had a problem with it.

If you are gonna use OTA update, your system must be unmodified : not rooted, not changing any system file (including boot logo), and using stock recovery.

Anyone get 6.0 OTA yet?

Not talking about links to do it yourself. I'm talking about the update being pushed to your phone.
My Nexus 6 is on AT&T (LMY48M), and I haven't received the update yet.
AT&T will be a little slow bro, you'll have to flash factory if you want it now! I am downloading as we speak.

Mine's the factory unlocked version. I'm just using it on AT&T. I think I'll be fine
Also, both my Nexus 7 and Nexus 9 have not received the OTA update as well.
