Every day I get a notification to update from 24A to 26A and it fails every time. with the error code: 0x1111004. Stock (never been rooted). Do you guys have any idea what I should do? After MKBHD released his Android L overview, It makes me really want to try it one my phone or something to maybe get a bit better battery life. Or should I just call verizon and see if they can help me out because when I plug it into the computer, it doesn't say an update is available but I get the notification to update at least once a day.
Since you are not rooted, there aren't many workaround options.
I can save you some time on the phone with Verizon and tell you what they will say: Do a factory reset and try again.
Factory reset

Finally got my OTA update from Google, and just like my experience manually updating, my phone will not update
Got the notification message this morning, selected apply update
Phone rebooted, went into the update screen
Phone reboots, goes into the static N1 logo, been there for close to an hour now
So other than reflashing the PASSIMG file I still conveniently have, any other suggestions? When my phone wouldn't flash propelry the manual way, I started to worry that this would happen with the OTA too, and yes 100% stock and unrooted
Has anyone made a PASSIMG version of 2.2?
Holding off on Rooting, might need to send the phone in for replacement for other issues, and don't want to have any problems with HTC
Anyone?????
Would hate to have to wait till Monday to call HTC if at all possible
I'm trying to sell my moto x so I factory reset it but when it tries to make you type something in it didn't give you the option to use a keyboard, it only let you use voice typing. So I tried flashing some factory firmware from here after removing the line in the xml file that prevents them from flashing.
ATT 4.4.2 flashed fine and then now Wifi and bluetooth won't turn on.
ATT 4.2.2 and ATT 4.4 won't flash. Fastboot screen on the phone says "downgraded security version" so it refuses to flash those.
I never had any custom ROM's on here. It was rooted previously but HO LEE S**T it was the most convoluted process ever and I'm never doing that again. What do I do? Has anyone else had this problem?
okay somehow it got fixed.
I tried flashing 4.4 using this guide, the manual way. It kept throwing "FAILED <remote failure>" for half the stuff but i just kept going :silly: and at the end it rebooted and wifi was working. Despite trying to flash 4.4, it still has 4.4.2 on it...
really makes me appreciate how easy everything is with Nexus 5
Hello,
My brain is collapsing about this reboots, I have stock android 6.0 on my XT092 device.
Wipe cache + reset doesn't resolve anything. Wipe backup data and unmark auto-restore apps on google auto-backup. After wipe cache/reset I put on this device "configure as a new phone" , then I unmark auto-restore on settings then I install my apps (whatsapp dropbox, cant install more without problem solved..), what I can do more or what im doing wrong?
Thank you all :good:

Mental note, this reboots only happens when i'm not touching in the phone (standby). If I'm using it or charge he never reboots! I can't leave this phone awake during night
Hello guys
I have stock android 6.0 [24.11.18.victara_reteu.reteuall.en.Eu retfr] on my Motorola Moto X 2014 [XT1092] after OTA update to android 6.0 I have always random reboot's on it. I search for all internet about a possible fix and I think I tried almost everything but I have hope can solve this problem.. Put on Moto X 2014 forum too but is a old device without much visibility!
I have try to hard resed and wipe caches (don't know how many times I did it, probably 100 with various configurations). Last time I do it I just reset/wipe and initiate the phone without sim-card and internet (always skip) after that I put the sim-card without 4G and WiFi and didn't install or update any type off app (Google's backup is disable and I clean everything I could about old's data) and the phone always reboots (think we never could stay 24h on without a single reboot, this is so frustrating).
Hardware phone problem? System operating problem (is stock and didn't see nobody like me)?
Any one have suggestions what I could do more or someone have this problem with your stock device?
Thank you for the time dispend reading this :good:

Stop spamming the forums, already answered you in one of your other posts.

I had about the same problem (happened maybe 5 times) on my xt1096 while I had 5.1 verizon stock.
Since I installed the stock xt1095 6.0 marshmallow (about a month), I didn't have that problem again.
Maybe you should try that too? Just a suggestion.

Sorry, I collect the log but I have my data on it.. I will colect it with full reset/wipe and any update!
I search about all forums I could but didn't find anyone with same error, I copy the text about 3 or 4 topics to have more visibility because this phone is making old (but I love it)..

When I bought this phone (2 months ago) he have 4.4.4, I think he update to 5.0 or 5.0.1 and after that updated to 5.1 (he stays about 2 weeks in 5.1) after that he receive 6.0 (problem apears)..
I think I couldn't downgrade the 6.0 to 5.1 (without touch on root's etc etc) right? Could I reinstall 6.0 in boot menu with all stock and no-rooted?

You have to have root and unlock bootloader to change roms as far as I know.
I too am experiencing this issue since day one with a XT1092. It happend across several ROMs, including stock. Like previously stated, it happens only when the phone is not connected to a charger and in standby, seemingly randomly.
I suspect the radio to be the issue, since it is the same regardless what ROM one uses. Maybe certain frequencies (I am constantly connected to LTE; mostly Band 20, 800 MHz) or something similar could be the cause. That would explain why it is such a rare issue and so hard to reproduce. Or maybe it is simply a hardware malfunction, I guess I'll never know.
Edit: Got a soft reboot without a SIM card in the phone. Usually it's a hard reboot, but this time it was "only" a quick soft reboot.

as long as the phone
does not have
a custom recovery
and unlocked bootloader
root
you should be able to take it to a shop - the place you bought it and explain
if you don't know what an unlocked bootloader or custom recovery is - your good to go
I updated my moto x4 from Oreo to pie using flash using boot loader. my boot loader is still locked and software status is official too. It still is unable to update to January security update. Please help !!
yes I have also facing same issue... i have also try by safe mode but shows something not right .... reconnecting to server... might be Moto update Services try to connect moto server which has not able to connect due some issue in server... hope so this is issue...
you can connect to moto support team let me know what they are say for this issue.
They told to reset and try again.. to do that I got to backup my data which LL take time.. so on hold as of now
Yup, same here. I got the Android 1 Google Fi model (Bootloader unlocked, unrooted). I'll try again in a week and see if it resolves itself.
And another ~ bought 2, mine showed the update 3 days before my wife's but won't start (download and install now, via wifi only and it reverts back to the settings screen). She got the notification last night and it took first try. First time I've had this issue in the 4 months I've had the phone, just glad I'm not alone here....
Since you're official/fully stock, there's not really any alternatives besides factory reset or await for full image is available to manually flash via fastboot method. You do not need to unlock long as you stick with motorola firmwares. Links in FAQs thread.
Nothing new here? Mine keeps nagging me to do the update, start it and it shows getting to 17% on step 3 of 6, then just kicks me back out to the setting screen.
This is my first android phone (from a flip), couldn't get lineageos to work with my provider (RedPocket) and have neutered as much of the google crap as possible. Right on down to disabling all permissions for Play Store. Could that be part of my issue?
It has been nagging me since last few weeks, no solution apparently
New Update:
Could actually able to fix the issue by installing a vpn and set it as a USA based server.
My phone was bought in US and I was using it elsewhere. After using an USA based IP it downloaded the update and voila.
