Hello everyone! Need help to unbrick my Moto
My scenario: I got UK model JB 4.1.2 with locked bootloader. I was trying to flash official Brazilian JB and RSD failed ( I know my bad). So got all drivers, RSD Lite 6.1.5 and so far I was trying UK Retail JB, UK Orange, EU Retail all these failed, I've removed 2 lines from xml file mentioned by somebody on xda but no luck, also I've been on Motorola site to unlock bootloader but my device is not supported after verification (weird). I can restart to bootloader screen, any other option like "factory" or "recovery" gives me a red moto logo only.
Please see pictures for more details, any suggestions?
Solved! I've used mfastboot commands to erase cache and user data and I'm back to fresh UK retail JB
i think it failed because you need unlocked bootloader for flash official Brazilian JB rom in a UK phone
if you have a UK phone, you need unlocked bootloader for Brazil rom ( can be OTA to kitkat)
if you have a Latin American you don't need unlocked bootloader, can be a locked bootloader
the ROM and the phone need be the same region if the bootloader are locked.
That's right ManoBros, it was good lesson for me with a little bit of panic and happy end. I'm big fan of Android smartphones and changing my phones very often but always back to RAZR I, in this case I will wait for official UK kitkat.

Hi All,
My phone originally had the orange ICS firmware installed, I then unlocked the bootloader and rooted and installed Retail British ICS. I would now like to try jelly bean on orange and it has not come out in Retail british. I tried to install the original firmware from this site (http://sbf.droid-developers.org/smi/list.php) and I keep getting an error in part 3 (installing moto boot) and the installation is aborted. If I copy the motoboot from the retail british to the orange firmware the installation runs fully. Is there any reason i cant use the retail british in the orange firmawre??
Thanks
Hi Guys
Quite a newbie here.
Wanted to know if I can switch from my current being XT1052_O2-DE_4.4.4_KXA21.12-L1.26 to XT1052_RETAIL-GB_4.4.4_KXA21.12-L1.26 ?
Reason being is I'm thinking the retail will receive the very soon over the air update to lollipop faster and I'm not in Germany at all. In South Africa and over to England a lot.
Everything works so theres no issue. The O2-DE is my current rom loaded with the stock bootloader unlocked and TWRP 2.8.3.0 recovery.
I was planning to unzip the O2-DE and mfastboot flash the stock recovery back to receive OTAs again, but the I saw the RETAIL-GB and wondered if I can, while my stock rom is newly flashed, switch.
Saw the two roms on file factory (can't post URLs)
P.S. I THINK my current rom is the O2-DE one because Elixir tells me "Id: KXA21.12-L1.26" and "Product: ghost_o2de" and obviously "Version: 4.4.4"
Thanks and appreciation in advance.
Just checked and Elixir also says "Version incremental: 18"
Hi all.
I've been trying to get my Moto X (XT1053, Asia Retail) to stock. I flashed a ROM for the US accidentally, a while ago. Now, I've lost my IMEI (*#06# says 0). Fastboot is still able to display the correct IMEI(3*********). Anyone has the stock ROM that shipped on the Indian version? I tried one but the bootloader won't downgrade.

@Uzayr @Megatron007 guys please help stuck with same issue
Flash the correct factory image for your phone. XT1053 is not asia retail, it's US GSM.
XT1052 is Asia Retail.
Hey, so I'm really new to Android (this Note 5 is my first Android phone) and I don't know much about firmware flashing, so I thought I would inquire here... I have the SM-N920I model of the phone, but it was a Spark (New Zealand carrier) phone so it's not factory unlocked but it has been unlocked as I can use my Vodafone SIM. Since it has the Spark firmware, there is the Spark boot animation, and I was wondering if I could flash the factory unlocked firmware onto the device to get rid of this and a couple other things that bug me a little with the carrier firmware.
Thanks for any help guys!
Dear Guys
I know that this is an issue discussed over many threads here and in other forums too but i still have no way to unbrick the phone. This is a XT1039 phone from Movistar Argentina, and the actual bootloader is 41.1A. I had the phone originall till i receibed an alert to update, and after updating the phone bootlooped. After that i took the phone to a tech guy that couldnt do anything.
So far i tried to flash many rooms using fastboot and had no results. Then i tried to flash roms using TWRP and CM recovery and no way to get the phone working. As far as i know for reading it on forums, the bootloader 41.1a only supports android 5.1, no support of android 4.4.4. On the other hand, i read about the CID, and mine is 7, so i think it will support retail EU, GERMANY, GB and SPAIN roms, as brazil is CID12. Anything you can help me will be appreciated.
Thankssss
