I know in the past on the Galaxy family of phones we have been able to, once the phone is rooted of course, to go in and raise sound levels manually. I know many Devs. have made flashable zips for the various phone models out there as well to utilize. Has anyone come across one for the Note 4? I have tried using both methods out there for the Note 3, but it takes away all sound. I know Faux had a sound and speaker enhancement with his kernels that you could download and use as well, but with no Faux kernel it of course will not work.
Any Devs out there can maybe point in the right direction as far as going into the mixer settings and what to change?
Thanks

I also have a question about the mixer paths . xml file. What would I set the recording or wakeup dB at to try and make always listening hear me better? I like setting timers and such with google now from across the room sometimes. It seems I have to be right up on the device for it to hear me. There are some files for it in there, but do i go up or down to make it listen more attentively? Thanks in advance for any feedback!

Been doing some tests. Went into mixer paths . xml. Scrolled down to recognition scenario, boosted the max levels in this section by 10. Seems to be working really well now. Hopefully won't cause any issues! Lol.

[MOD] Camera during call and shutter sound on/off Enabled
Very easy mod to do just make sure your rooted and have root explorer on your phone.
Go to root explorer scroll down to system click on it scroll to CSC click on it now scroll down to Feature XML. Open it in text editor. Look for <CscFeature_Camera_ShutterSoundMenu>True</CscFeature change the text from false to true that will open the option in the camera so that you can turn the sound on and off. Now look for <CscFeature_Camera_EnableCameraDuringCall>True</CscFeature change the text from false to true. Take note to the pic below. Once you do that back out and save than reboot your phone and you're all set.
I love the 90s. Good times.

No problem and I appreciate you putting it out in the open. Good idea. Maybe you should turn it into a tips and tricks type of thread? See if we can't get more of these types of secrets to come out. As things are brought up and confirmed you can add them to a list in the OP for easy access.
Good stuff. Thanks fellas!
After saving my selection, it said something (I noticed at the last minute) about saving original text before I made the edits. Catch where that file is stored? Or I could be wrong (seeing things lol).

I tried the edit, it didn't work for me. I'm not new to modding but new to Samsung. I used ES to make the edit, file changed and everything but no camera sound toggle. What could I have done wrong?
I posted this in the picture thread but while in the camera app you can say "SHOOT" to snap a picture. That way you don't have to fumble with the camera button while holding the phone one handed.

You have to turn Voice Control on first in Settings. Then click to the left of the On/Off toggle where it says Voice Control and make sure the Camera selection is checked for this to work.

The camera hacks work. Re-verify the file was in fact edited and turn off and on completely.
Another note, there are settings for autocorrection in the SIP keyboard in the feature xml. But they dont do anything if changed except to enable the option in keyboard settings. Wonder if its disabled in the keyboard app itself.

Nothing here in UK yet.
Does anyone have the official changelog from Samsung ? Trying to decide if its worth a base update.
I have had a look at the firmware, doesn't look like any new features per say have been added.
In saying that tho, if its more battery friendly or what ever it may be worth the update,
EDIT: Perhaps even if someone could upload there build.prop !
No update for me either

@fOmey - Attached is my build.prop file. Just updated to ML1, Still running 4.2.2
I also upload the extracted apps as well if you want to look into them.
No changes from what I see. Everything looks and functions the same. Not sure on battery life yet.
Update. I noticed I downloaded the apps wrong. They are missing the odex files. I will re download them and repost them later today. (I will just grab the whole app folder this time and zip it for ya) Download new Apps from here - Zippyshare.com

Haha, sweet deal. I haven't found any bugs yet. Working my way down the settings menu. Going to install again with some gapps this time so I can test the reverse lookup, etc. I'm not sure about needing to flash root or not yet, as I couldn't install a root app due to lack of play store. I'll report back in a few minutes. Downloading the mini modular package from PA. ~85MB. Shouldn't be too long.

True, I just went with the first small package that came to mind. Okay so root does need to be flashed after the ROM and gapps.
So far I found 2 things.
1. Quick Setting tiles > style > transparency goes from a flat gray (normal) at 0%. Once you get it to 50% it will be come slightly transparent. 51-100% transparency will just make it turn flat black with no transparency. Not sure if it's meant to be like that but I can see through them on other ROMs. Not a big deal though.
2. I'll try again with slim gapps, but I can't use nearby places lookup. Doesn't work even after toggling in settings. But that might be a gapps issue so I'll check and see.
This ROM is quick. I like it a lot. So that's the only issues I noticed so far, everything else was working good. Well polished for the first release on this device. Honestly I don't think it even needs an Alpha/Beta tag. No reboots no SoD. Feels like its ready for primetime. all in all it would take more time to list what isn't working rather than what is which is what I did. No force closes, etc. Ready for a daily driver. I'm going to stick with it.
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
Edit: would you ever consider SuperSU over SuperUser? I know some don't like it because it isn't open source (last I heard) but it doesn't give me problems with some apps like superuser.

I was curious if anyone else has stumbled across the issue I am having with my TF701. I upgraded to CM11 and installed the GAPPS with no issue and the ROM works quite well. However the ASUS keyboard dock now has some dead keys i.e. WIFI Toggle, Bluetooth Toggle, Disable Mousepad Toggle, Auto Screen Brightness, Screenshot, and Settings Hotkey. Is there any way to fix this? I have tried editing the Keyboard.kl files with no results. I also extracted the ASUS keyboard.apk but it will not install. I also tried putting it in the sys/apps/ folder and editing it's permissions to match all the other apps but no result.
Lastly I have a BT Mouse which connects well but the native behaviour of the Mouse in CM11 is different than when I was running JB. When on JB a left click was the same as a screen touch and a right click was back. on CM11 both buttons are standard screen touch. Is there a way to remap this? I moved to CM11 because the native firmware has some antenna issues. When streaming audio to a BT device the internet dies. on CM11 this issue seems to be fixed due to its custom Kernel (I assume) but these other functions are also important to me. Any ideas????
As far as I have read the extra keys don't work in CM as it has something to do with the kernel. The CM developer doesn't have a dock so hasn't been able to really look into fixing it. He is working on getting a dock eventually.
I know nothing about the mouse however I would guess it is the same thing as stock dock touchpad works as you would like however it does not on CM.

Knock on yes. Knock off normally has it set for status bar on aosp because it does not have the frame work to knock off anywhere.
I use apex launcher and set a double tap home gesture to use screen off and lock from the play store.
And it works the same way as a stock ROM would. But it won't work on the lock screen.
So ROMs offer a setting for lockscreen knock off

Yeah, Scott has a habit of randomly stopping for a while.
Glad you picked up another build to port for us.

@delobrate
You may or may not know this, but the op states the *latest* Netflix is broken. Have you tried an older build of it?
I'll try myself anyways, but I won't be able to flash this for another hour it two.

Older versions work just fine. We are still working in the issue with the latest.

Got one more then I'll disappear. I did some searching but couldn't come up with anything.
You guys have a Google plus page or anything of the sort?

Build seems to be running great. Tons of options.
Pretty excited you ported this for us. Not quite sure about the Netflix deal though tried three 3.7.x versions, and tried 3.4.0 and none would work. If anyone knows of an exact version that works without using xposed, hook me up.
Other than that, beautiful ROM.

Ya its an issue the teams been hard at work on.
Edit: reboot seemed to fix it.
Didn't see in the description (unless it fall under other fearures), but is navbar configurable for long press actions also? That's normally what I use in place of double tap to sleep.
How is the GPS , signal ,battery life, does the remote app work, kernel stock and is there any other working kernels?
