Wondering what those that are using greenify have set for on the settings and is it worth the donation package to use the experimental features, would it make a difference In battery life with them vs just free version ..

I can't speak to the premium version. For settings on the free version, I follow @megalomanic14's suggestions here: "Greenify all downloaded user apps...Dont touch system app/don't activate greenify xposed mod."

So, either I'm missing something that should be fairly obvious or this function isn't available. I want a mobile data toggle in my quick settings pull down. I've tried via Xposed and looked through various forums and can't seem to find any info on how to do this. Will I actually have to flash a ROM to get this? If so, does the one currently in our ROM section have this functionality? Thanks for any help.
this worked like a charm for me.........http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2721550 :cyclops:
It's easy to add, but you need root, and you also need sqlite editor. I use v2.1. It's a paid app and it's available in the playstore.
EDIT: Nevermind. Just follow the post above this one. Just download it for free and don't support the developer.

This also worked perfectly for me as well. I purchased the 2.99 apk in the google play store- whole process took less than 5 minutes!

I want to make sure my stock messaging app isn't drawing any resources.
Can I disable it without any issues if I'm using Textra?

I use Handsent with my Xt1080 while stock is disabled. No problems on the latest KK build.
Be sure you are happy with an alternative first then disable.

you cant disable the stock messaging app as its faded out. As long as u have the messaging app you want to use set up as default it be ok.
Some of the services are needed elsewhere, if you remove it you will find some (maybe all?) SMS apps on the play store also leverage those services and they wont work or at least that was my experience. I read some time ago this is also why the roms always have at least the AOSP texting app on board, maybe one of the smart people will come along and set me (us) straight.
Hello all,
I'm am thinking about rooting and use greenify in order to get more battery life.
As for others I play services and Google app are my main battery consumer.
So I was thinking maybe greenifying some services with root would help.
Has somebody tried it already and would share his / her experience? Is it worth rooting?
Cheers

Actually u can root if you want to customize and check out new roms... But i have seen many people including myself going back to stock since the Moto is not available is custom roms... And i have read somewhere that its not good to greenify play services.. U will encounter problems....
The best way is root and use stock rom.. And greenify other apps causing battery drain and keep ur Cpu running low...

Has anyone notice this new addition in the battery setting? If I'm not mistaken. This wasn't part of the previous update.

Do you mean the ability to pick apps to hibernate? If so, that has been around for a few months already and showed up like 3 or so updates ago.
Really? Wow not sure why I'm just seeing this.

It's a bit different now and accessible only thorough battery app
Is this the same as smart manager? I dont have anything in my battery settings that does anything.
This is a different type of setting it looks like. That's not a hibernation. Not sure when it does, optimizing the apps . But new settings are always welcome
I was going to try and attempt to use doze app for s6 ..As it seemed nice built into my short lived s7.But some of the feedback in the market mentioned it has a freezing reboot phone bug
Anyone have some pos+ or neg- feedback with trialing it on top of 5.1.1?

I don't use that. I use a series of macros using Macrodroid in tandem with ds battery saver.
