[Q] Android 5.0 Lollipop on XT1063

I heard that the Moto G got Android Lollipop in the US and i bought a XT1063 in the US and than brought is to Israel (the phone is working perfectly fine) so why don't i get the OTA update?

Because the update is for xt1064, not xt1063.
xt1064 = US/Canada single sim
xt1063 = Global single sim

When will it come out on the xt1063?

Soak Test
From what i've been told its its a soak test so you may or may not see it, depending if you're a member of motorola feedback network. I got a notification of the update on my XT1063 at 12am EST but forgot to capture it, nor was I able to install it... since I had TWRP. now I have to wait for the final release, or for someone else who has an XT1063 to post theirs.

Last night (11/11) I checked for updates and there it was...! I have an XT1063 and I'm in Venezuela, so I believe this is a global rollout as some sources say, not a soak test.
BTW... It rocks !!! :good:

You're 100% Right, I'm going to try to pull the update from my cache folder before I install it and post it for the 1063

By any chance you can post the OTA here? So everyone can flash it.

So it turns out my download ended up being corrupted so instead of waiting i flashed the firmware of the 1064 minus the modem and installed the update floating around on here, was it the best idea maybe not but it worked for me, that being said if you are to go that route do so at your own risk.

That's not true. I have the XT1063 and I got Lollipop 2 days ago via OTA.

upload the ota file is located in /cache

Do I don't get the update because I live in Israel?

I think he means 5.0 soak test for Moto G.

i am on soak test 5.0 and i want to go back to 4.4.4 brasil or asian, i also can go to GPE but then only 1 sim works, i want them both. My bootloader is unlocked

I am wondering if anyone can point me to the stock 4.4.4 firmware for moto X for the XT1097 variant which runs on WIND in Canada.
system version is: 21.31.52.victara_retca.retca.en.CA
Baseband is: MSM8974BP_2147.127.04.57R,VICTARA_RETCA_CUST
also, if I flash any custom firmware such as cyanogen, will I lose the unlock?

5.0.2...not on US Cellular, so I'm not going to mess with this. But can you tell if the camera2 api has been implemented? Because that would be fantastic.

when did 5.0.2 been released? we r still waiting for it on the pure edition XT1095

Been running the Chinese 5.0.2 stock ROM for a couple days. No real problems. I flashed PA Gapps to get Google services back, but no problems overall. Very curious to give this a try too... Anyone know if it'd be the same process (simply flash boot and system)?

Yes is is safe. i just installed in my XT1095 and everything is working perfectly

The only thing annoying me is the us cellular boot animation... i will try changing it to stock now...

Copy the directory in TWRP
data/media/0/TWRP/BACKUP/"your phone serial number "
Then go to recovery and make a Restore.

Flash the motorola boot animation of your preference, and you should be good with the warning!

Are the Camer2 APIs there? If you fire up FV-5 does it allow you to save in raw format?

Hi guys so I am here and I need help with my Motorola Moto G 2nd generation XT1064( US and CANADA). I flashed a custom rom and now I want to go back to stock but I searched everywhere and I can not find anything for my model. If someone could help me find the stock lollipop ROMor post the rom here I would really appreciate it. Just to make sure again it is a Motorola Moto G 2014 XT1064 I live in Canada and I am with wind mobile. Any help would be appreciated.
