Has there been a camera update for the VZW Moto X? If so, is there a way to apply it to rooted devices?
Thanks :good:

google it. its seriously that simple... or look in the q&a or general section. On the first page. would have taken you less time then writing this post.
Hey guys,
I'm looking for a download of Moto X Developer GSM Edition for 4.4.2. I've seen a few downloads that are the .XML or a zip, but it didn't contain what I needed, which is specifically the System Folder with App, Framework and Priv-App, etc.
The purpose is I'm having someone assist me in removing the blue from 4.4.2 in menus, toasts, etc.
Thanks for your help guys.
Or, is there a way to draw those assets from the 4.4.2 I have on my phone already?
I don't think it's out yet, not the full file. I think what you see around is just the OTA itself. I checked in the sbf site and didn't see it.

Are there assets for 4.4?
Thanks for the help in advance fellas.
Hello everyone,
I am posting here today on the topic of the Moto X OS Updater. I have the VZW Moto X Dev Ed running Rooted Kit Kat 4.4. I do not want the new update and it is asking me everyday if I would like to install. As I am not interested in doing so I would like to remove this. Is there a way to shut down the updater or maybe even remove the apk? If so what is it called or how do I do so?
Thanks in advance!

Well from what I read I can't go back to the post camera update if I take 4.4.2. This is important I am able to do what I want you know.

The main reason people want to get back to 4.2.2 is to root. with the DE you can root with any version because of the unlocked bootloader.

You have a developer edition... You can flash damn well near anything you want.

yeah, but a little reading and people can figure it all out. and some of the fear is good, people get a little too trigger happy sometimes before they learn the ropes of a new device.

nah, the misinfo keeps getting posted and reposted and the more you read, the more misinfo you read.

well it is very known what you can and can't flash, it's stickied in the general thread. No misinfo on that one. also all the upgrading and downgrading software and bootloader info is there too. pretty much everything, I think the people who are nervous are the ones not reading threads. things are pretty clear and dry here, and many questions have been answered there too!

hope that helps explain things cartland!

Wow, good read! Thanks for the link!

From what others are posting using the unofficial fxz, you can run the 4.4 system with the 4.4.2 bootloader and I would presume the 4.2.2 system, too although I don't see where anyone has specifically tried that. However, if you do run a lower version of the system than the bootloader and accidentally take the 4.4.2 OTA again, you will brick. So you would need to freeze the OTA app to avoid that.

Hello,
Is there anywhere where I can find complete binaries for a root device ?
I have seen here and there partly images (boot.img, recovery.img and system.img), but on trying to flash these images the watch does not boot.
Currently it boots with Google's factory images for LG Urbane:
https://developer.android.com/wear/preview/downloads.html
Whatever I did to try and root it failed.
I am not sure why I have troubles trying to root this device (LG W200 , starting with the above factory images).
I see there were others who did it, but with their binaries nothing works on my watch.

Any suggestion will be appreciated.

Ranchu

no..no rec available and I can't root it from PC.
i found myself getting an easy and successful root with these images:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/watch-urbane/orig-development/rom-ext4all-skin1980-t3341598
even though they are like a minor update behind, the performance was better than stock + being able to disable stuff was good. just went back to stock awaiting aw 2.0 update and i am not too happy about the stock performance :/

Thanks,
but I think it's ROM for LG G, - not for LG Urbane.
So I'm not sure it will work with LG Urbane, Right ?

Attempt to. Do you have root access? There are a few system and vendor files I could use
Edit: NVM app is 8.1/9+ only.
I'll try to backport the libs into the old app from the G7 I have.

I am! Though I'd need to be able to get files from /system and /vendor. I'm honestly not sure which are accessable with just adb.

Okay, it's possible to access some files from /system & /vendor without root. What files do you need?

Actually I'll get back to you, I'd rather wait till the v30 is on the same Android version or at least gets pie. I was being cocky thinking I know how to backport stuff from newer Android verisons lol
