My son and I both have AT&T Note 3's I added the family map service that's on the phone and wanted to know if there's any way the location can be spoofed? I have a feeling he's spoofing his location lol but every location spoofer app I download on my phone shows me it can't be done. Does anyone know if this is true or not and am I being paranoid for no reason? hahaha

That was the first app I checked out. I use to use that long ago on Facebook lol. I tried just about every spoof app and none worked so I think I'm good.

You need to enable mock locations in developer options in order for location spoofers to work.

Yup I did, it spoofs all apps but the AT&T Family Map app and that's what I was hoping for.

You don't use task managers in Android.
Just my point of view:

You don't need a task manager. The phone has enough ram and if you really must need a app to hibernate, look into using the greenify app.

I've just noticed particularly the Facebook app has really drained my battery if I let it run in the background

I can confirm these results. I uninstalled the app and just use mobile site. Try Greenify, it will work for this issue too.

Says the guy wanting to use task managers. Seriously, if the app is the issue why would you hunt for a work around? Get rid of the problem don't hide it.

I believe there is more to this than some of you are recognizing. I have a question. Go look in your battery menu and look at the apps using the most battery. Does it show each app keeping the mobile radio active? If so because i'm reading on reddit along with my personal experience. Google Play Store, Google Play Services, Facebook, Chrome, Play Music are doing that. No one seems to know why yet either. Tell me what you find out.

That's never been identified until lollipop, there's no way to know it's any different now than it ever has been.

Well its pretty obvious for me. Ive never seen these apps really sot at the top other than google play services for a gps wakelock. But these apps are inconsistently at the top but when they are, they keep the mobile radio active for hours when screen on time might be a 1/4 of that.
Well then. Try app called Battery Doctor. It will let you see what's draining your battery and let you selectively close the ones you want to.
Hey, I have a tmobile note 4 and am waiting to my gear vr in the mail. Read that I can download software before hand but can't seem to find it. Any direction would be great.

A lot of it is already "pre-downloaded" on the card you will receive inside the gearvr package. If you have a larger card you use you can just copy it via your pc or cloud intermediary.
Cool. Do you know if I can set up an oculus account. Or do I have to wait as well.

Yep, just visit their website and register. This will also give you a forum acc.
thanks. I ended up finding a good portion of the software down in the gear vr Canadian thread and it worked great.

If your really excited and just can't wait you could initiate the gear vr setup process which will have you login and get you the oculus store app. From which you could start downloading apps, games etc so your ready when it arrives. To do this from let's say TouchWiz you can download the app quickshortcutmaker and find the gear vr setup or stub, sorry it's been awhile, then just execute the shortcut and the process will begin.

use hangouts; simple and easy
We always get the short end of the stick in the states. I'm going international.... I've had enough

Those are a couple apps you can use for video calling. There are hundreds (maybe more?) out there... but those are the 3 I have personally used and have decent luck with.:good:
Having an international phone is not enough, it needs to be supported by carrier.
