Flash the Radio with the link provided here
Code:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=614427
( scroll down to see the Radio links )
After you flash the radio, reboot and wait until it boots back into recovery, then flash the ROM. Enjoy. Oh, remember to wipe everything first before u start flashing stuff
k i used the ere27 radio now i flashed it then wpe then installed cyanogen rom 5.7 seems to be working great??? thanks alot!!!!!!
if i decide to use 2.2 without radion update i can just flash it by wiping and then flashing it right???

You can find the stock rom from samfirmware.com
While flashing if you are using a single file then repartition should be unticked, if you are using multiple file pda,pit etc then you have to tick repartition
You are on gingerbread.
In my experience best custom rom is Darky's . you can try 10.2RE then upgrade with 10.2.1

you can roll back to stock rom at any time. for getting stock rom you can visit samfirmware.com
Once you flash the Darky its included the kernel. If you want to change the kernel you can change it later.

Which CM7 7.2 did you use? by squadzone? subpsyke? mebitek? CM7.1 by tj_style? you have to be specific with the versions and developer since we have more than a couple of CM7..
I had used squadzone's CM version..

try to install again the rom (choose the last one -->RC5.5 if u want)
and when u're still in cwr mode, wipe data and cache (u'll lose all ur installed apps)
thank u fo ur advice bt after knowing my problem i re-installed cm versions again n again but i see the same problem again..
I upgraded to cm7 from gingerbread 2.3.6..
as i didn't solve the prob i did factory reset too bt no use..
i also had problems with my cm7, i tried to go back to stock by restoring my nandroid backup made with CWM. That backup wasn't made correctly so there was some panic untill i found peace again: look for your stock rom here http://droidangel.blogspot.com/2011/05/samsung-galaxy-mini-s5570-original.html and flash it using odin, and you're back to normal again
i really like having this as a last resort backup, so i can trie rom's without having to worry about soft-bricking my device

i only flashed a stock rom once when my phone got really stuck, you do loose everything (phone isn't even rooted anymore), if you're still able to save some apps and data with titanium backup then you can restore everything pretty quickly after changing rom's

Well my problem is that I flashed my Gnote with ICS and now seems to be a problem with the kernels ( i read it here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=26272631 )
So as that thread says, now i have to change the kernel by flashing with odin/heimdall, but i wanted to ask you guys if any kernel will work with my rom or not... and if you can give me a link with a safe one (i didn't find any link to say that is safe, although i have to confess that i haven't searched too much neither ) I have this ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1589375 but v01 and i'll upload a screencapture with the system info because i think that would be useful.
Thank to evereybody and lets hope that the problem is going to be fixed soon

Flash this kernel to be on a safe kernel flash via Odin http://forum.xda-developers.com/atta...4&d=1337346991
Read here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1627854
the first link doesnt work, and about the second, what you want me to say is that is ok to flash the kernel they recommend there via odin and no need to change my rom right?
really thank you i was pretty worried about this problem...
WAIT
I think you should go back to stock GB and then use one of the safe kernels to install an ICS rom, like CM9.
I'm really a bit confused but this is from what I understand.
I still don't know what to do... does the kernel have to be combatible with the rom or it doesn't matter which ROM i'm on? for now i want to keep this ROM because works really good or to get the original ICS... so guys what do you say? Is it ok if i flash the kernel that brockyneo told me?
I would reccomend flashing the latest cm9 nightly as the rom your using is a old unoffical version of it. In order to do this flash the kernal i have attached via mobile odin (your phone will NOT boot using this kernal so make sure you go into recovery). Then flash the abyss note kernal via cwm, after which go into advanced and reboot recovery. Then in this recovery you can flash the CM9
Hope that helps
I recently upgraded my Note to official ICS (OTA) and I'm not liking it AT ALL! Now I really want to get far away from this update as possible and I'd like to switch to a CM9 nightly Rom. I've that now that I have upgraded to the official ICS Rom, I run the risk of super bricking my device. So now I ask you to help me make sure the following is correct so that I may move on from this wretched update:
DO NOT perform wipes if you are on original Samsung ICS
DO NOT perform wipes if you are on a original Samsung kernel??
Flash back to original Gingerbread Rom using odin BEFORE flashing to CM9
Flash to different kernel??
I've flashed millions of Roms but this one is scary and I just want to make sure haven't missed anything... Have I?
Thanks for you help!!
John J
Just flash a stock directly rootable GB rom, root and put CM9 on it. Then do a factory reset and you're good to go. Went that way few times already.

Thanks a lot man!! This is pretty much what I thought but I wanted to make ABSOLUTE sure! Cheers!

So is the super-brick BUG on the official ICS OTA?? OMG
And yeah go back to gingerbrear via odin, get root then flash any CM9 tru CWM no problems...
I'd like to do something similar to what the OP wants to do however I have rooted and installed CWM on an official/stock ICS rom. So if I wanted to flash back to a stock gingerbread rom would I need to remove CWM and/or un-root?

There is no need to unroot first. You can flash stock GB rom directly via Odin.
I've now flashed to GB but before I move on to a CM9 nightly, do you recommend I flash the CM9 kernel as well? Seems like it is not a prerequisite but I would like to make sure. Thanks.
John J
afaik, when flashing a CM9 Nightly, the eligible kernel is built in, so no need to flash anything but the ROM.
i'm on one of imilkas first CM9 port and it says [email protected] #1 under Kernel version in settings.
Yes. The correct kernel is included in the nightly.
