Not sure how to even get the app since i live in the US.
Someone tell me how and i will provide

It uses the Amazon Video app, these are the only two I could find, ATVAndroidClient.apk is the stock (7.2.3) one from system/apps and the other one (com.amazon.avod-1.apk) seems to be an updated version according to Solid Explorer I found in data/app.
Dunno if they'll magically make Lovefilm work on a different device but here they are - http://www.mediafire.com/?1mxu216e78zvkvx
Note: Had to use MF rather than the forum attachment feature as it kept throwing up an token error whether uploaded normally or zipped.

Possible to change the carrier name on the lockscreen and drop-down base?
Yes. The custom ROM I'm running 42One has both customized, but I'm not sure which file(s) were changed.

You have instal xposed framework app first and then with modaco tool kit you can do a bunch of things including changing carrier name.

It is a little intimidating at first.
I discussed in a little detail exactly what to change here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=44194679
As for how, the tutorials on the vts site are very thorough. Even though you're not making a skin, the making a sense skin tutorial is helpful.

It should work if you have a Sense based ROM.
Ah, that could be it. The MoDoCo Toolkit needs the Xposed Framework to run.
Get the xposed framework's installer.apk and install it (thread linked below):
Xposed Framework XDA
then Click install/update and once it completes reboot your device.
After that, go into xposed, go to modules, and enable modoco toolkit and reboot once more.
Then try your desired modifications.

Thanks, problem is I'm not rooted, this one needs root access.
Since it needs some framework stuff with it, the odds of getting it without root are pretty slim
