[Q] unlock bootloader in SIM locked phone

I couldn't find anything by searching the older threads so here is my question:
Is it possible (and reasonably save) to try and unlock the bootloader in a SIM locked x8? Just to clarify: I don't want to remove the SIM lock from my phone - I'm happy with my current provider. I'm just wondering if I can unlock the bootloader while I still have a SIM lock on my phone.
All the threads about unlocking seemed to be concerned about how the phone was SIM unlocked rather than whether it was actually necessary...

I just want to know if I can unlock my bootloader while I still have a SIM lock in place. Or will I brick my phone then? I don't want to remove the SIM lock. Just flash a custom kernel so I can get proper wifi tether...

[Q] after flash kernel nAa-08 sim lock...

yesterday i flashing kernel nAa-08 on my xperia x8 and install ROM RDX_ICS_MOD V001, but after finish flashing i have problem with sim lock ( not from sim card but form Phone ) so that i try flashing again with SETOOL but nothing happen with my signal, each i will eliminate check for sim lock, always input PIN but i don't know what PIN to SIM Unlock...

SIM unlock

I need some help with the SIM unlocking my x8!
I have unlocked my bootloader via flashtool and I still have the SIM lock. (I read somewhere that unlocking the BT will remove the sim lock,and also the other anvantages)
IS there any way I coud do this for free? I have some android knowlege (flashing custom ROMs,kernes etc..),but I am having large troubles with the SIM lock..
Help anyone?

how to sim unlock on marshmallow?

Has anyone been able to sim unlock for international carrier on the m8 running marshmallow? This phone is updated already, and bootloader is still locked and still s-on...

Please help devs..how to bootloader procedure...im need downgrade.. because im update to .25 and my any simcard is not reading...

So the phone does work but the SIM isn't being read, right? Check the IMEI; if it's null you may have somehow wiped the NVRAM.
