I can not seem to remove the black bar at the bottom of the keyboard, and it's driving me crazy.
Any clues or tips? The keyboard pops up, makes a small pause at the bottom before it slides a little more up for the black bar to be visible..
It's down there even with the keyboard undocked.
Meh. It was full immersive mode on expanded desktop that gave me the black bar.. Switched to semi-immersive to remove it.

I rooted my NC for the sole purpose of having kindle for android on my NC.
(and perhaps angry birds i guess )
Kindle works as good as everyone said it would, with just one problem.
The slider at the bottom is occluded by the notification bar, therefore unaccessible.
when i click the menu button, kindle detects the notification bar at the bottom and offsets its in-app menu to show up above the notification bar, but it doesn't seem to be true when I tap the middle of the page to bring up the slider.
Can we make the notification bar to NOT show up?
(and make it show up only when we double click the home "n" button? or something?)
or will it be possible for the kindle to offset the slider slightly higher so that it doesn't overlap the notification bar?
thanks bunch~~
What's its function?
I have, yes, but mine has appeared over the "Google" text. It appears to be a "press" animation that is "stuck" or something. I just press on the location and it opens the Google app, then when back to the home screen it is gone. Not sure how to reproduce it.
Am able to reproduce it, by touching the Google search bar on the Google Now page, the far left page, the bubble stays where I pressed.
Nobody else has this?
Really?
I don't have the bubble on the home screen or by touching the Google search bar on the Google Now page. I tried touching the search bar several times and never saw the bubble.
I have it -- only on the 6, no other device [yet]. I can watch it pulse and change slightly and it moves from the center of the bar to the middle of the right half sometimes. Tapping the widget then cancelling input will make it go away for a while. Maybe it's Google's way to remind us to use the search bar since it's something I do not frequently do.
I can reproduce it by touching the Search Bar and swiping down, then the dot will stay where ever you touched it until you press on the widget to perform a search. I've done this when trying to swipe down the notification window but not quite hitting the status bar to pull down the notification window.
I've noticed this on my N6 as well on the same bar. If I tap in the bar and tap away, the bubble will go away. I thought it was a bug in the animation. I can reproduce it by touching the bar and dragging my finger out of the bar.
Hi,
Is it possible to make the navigation bar be hidden while in the home screen outside of apps? Cause in apps you can hide it and go full screen.
Also is it possible to hide the top bar with the clock and icons kinda like the nav bar when it's hidden making that you have to swipe down ( up for nav bar ) to reveal it?

Click to collapse
in settings-> Display->Navigation bar
turn on the show and hide button setting
now double tap the dot on the far left of the nav bar (will turn into outline rather solid circle)
caveat nav bar will show up when virtual keyboard is activated*

still shows up while on home screen its white too then not even dark..
No nav bar on home screen for me but might be because I'm running Google Now launcher
I've enabled the dark/night mode. I've found that when inside apps, the bottom navigation bar turns from black to white. In chrome, eventhough I have it set to dark mode, the title and bottom buttons are white.
Is there any way to change it to black?
I have an app which shows full screen, and the left upper hamburger button is therefore hidden behind the front camera. Is there anyway to force the status bar to always show, so that the button is pushed down a bit?
I have googled a bit but almost all results are about hiding the bar instead of showing it
