Howdy,
I am running CM 11 20141106 nightly ovation. android 4.4.4
my issue is that I can not find any developer options in settings.
should there be a selection on the left of the settings page for developer options ?
any suggestions on how to enable developer options would be appreciated.
thank you.

Hey guys, I recently installed CyanogenMod 10 and I have a problem.
I installed it just a few minutes ago, and I noticed that I don't have the 'developer options' and 'performance' in the settings menu :/
I flashed it a couple of times but it didn't help. Gapps won't work also. I downloaded ROM and gapps package from cyanogen site..
I believe that this is the first time that happened to someone
Sorry for my bad English :/
Please help. Thanks
One more thing.. When I flash the ROM, I get a message that system wizard has force closed :/
Go to settings - about phone and click on build number lots. This has been asked many times in the official thread.

Yes there are other few hidden menu type in dailer *#*#4636#*#* and you will get a test menu.
And maybe you already now this : go to settings > about phone and click many times on Android version, and you will see a "K". hold this K till you see big "ANDROID 4.4.2".
Good luck.
I have no Visualizer in my Walkman, not in the options menu or in the settings or in the sideswipe pane. It's currently Version 8.4.A.5.4, updated through OTA, though I can't remember ever having it, probably because I was running Carbon for a while. I'm on stock .283 MEA, rooted, locked bootloader. I have Xposed, but no modules relating to Walkman. I'm unable to find a single mention of this anywhere on the forums or the internet in general. Don't suppose anyone can help with this?

cant think of anything else why its not available in walkman menu. may b u can try deodexing your stock rom n check
I can't check now; I flashed the new Lollipop build. [emoji28]
However, since root is essential for me, I'll probably be back to KK in a week or so; I'll check then. Thank you for your responses!
Is there a way to implement the advanced power menu on 5.0.1 GPE yet? I am not looking for widgets that do the same functionality, looking for a mod or something that works on Lollipop. I'm pretty sure my Nexus 7 had an option in Developer Settings to enable it, but it's not there on my M7.

The nexus is a very different device but in the end it was put there by the dev. This is not a stock option in android so you will have to wait until something is made for it or run a custom 5.0 rom.

Youre absolutely correct. I just checked my N7 and see that the option isn't there, I'm thinking about an unofficial Cyanogenmod lollipop release that had the option baked into the developer options menu. For some reason, I thought it was in the official build for the Nexus. Apologies.
I'm running the cm12 nightly from the 03/03/2015, all the features are working, but if i update the rom, i miss the double tap 2 wake ...? i tried a full wipe and flashing the latest nightly, it doesn't change anything, so i reverted back to the 03 of march release, any suggestion ? is it the same for you guys ?

I'ts the same for me. I'm guessing they did a rollback on some settings and it got lost. Install the latest nightly and it will be back!

My bad, the option to enable it shows up in the 12-release but it does not work. Same with the 13-release from today (just tested it).

Download "Kernel Adiutor" from Play Store, go to the "Wake Controls" section and enable Double Tap to Wake....
BTW, this thread should be in the Q&A forum, not Original Development......

Errrr...
Double tap to wake/D2W is a feature built into the KERNEL.
The app doesn't provide the "double tap to wake/D2W" functionality, all it does is set a "flag" to enable the feature which is already "built in" to the kernel. This is EXACTLY what enabling "Double Tap to Wake" in CM12 Settings menu does!
There are many apps that allow you to enable, change or disable Kernel config, IMHO this is the best....
