How to put files in obb in android l because whenever i put some big games files in it.. Fir of all there is no obb file in internal android folder and when i make one the phones restarts. I m on android l not rooted
OBB file is game offline data which gets downloaded when you install any HQ game
Download obb file...
Create a folder named "obb" in Android folder of Internal storage..
then paste that downloaded obb file with the folder itself (id of game).

Step 1: create a obb folder on some other directory.
Step 2: place your desire game data on that created obb folder.
Step 3: then move that obb folder into the directory adroid.
Thats it.

As the title ask's, does anyone know how to keep these from playing in the music app. I know I can not delete the sound files or the game will not play (already tried ), but jogging and at work is getting a little annoying when every other song on shuffle is a golf wave lol. Any help would be appreciated.
Put empty .nomedia file in the gameloft directory on sdcard, and reboot.
+1 to that.
Do I use root explorer and please be more descriptive..noob. Thanks
try the app MixZing... lets you specify the root folder where you store all your music you want to shuffle from... nice replacement for the stock...

Can't seem to let me create a .nomedia file, perhaps you meant to make a .nomedia folder?
Make a blank text file in Windows. Rename it .nomedia and copy it onto your n1
Does not work.. Any more suggestions?

Windows won't let you create a file with no name, only extension. It doesn't mean anything for Android, which is Linux and operates with such files. Create the file on the phone with the following command in Terminal Emulator:
echo "" > .nomedia
Move the file to the right place using Windows, if you want.

Check that you did it correctly, and reboot. There is no other way, and this one works - if it doesn't for you, you're most probably doing something wrong.
Will try the emulator method.. thanks
If you're doing it in Windows, open a command prompt to rename the file.
rename <filename> .nomedia
You might already have a .nomedia file in some of your directories already. Using Astro you can copy them to the Golf folder.
However if you don't and you have Windows, create a blank text file on your memory card in the Golf folder and call it nomedia.txt, then when you put it back in your phone use Astro to rename it to .nomedia
Both methods need an SD Card memount for the media software to scan, so either plug the USB in and select Mound then Unmount or reboot the phone.
Hi,
So a few days ago i wanted to put files in the obb folder to install some apks. However, when i connected it to my computer, I didn't see any obb folder, so I tried creating one. But every time I tried to create the folder the device kept disconnecting. I have tried creating the folder with USB debugging off and on, with a rooted phone as well as a non-rooted phone, from my computer and from file managers on the phone, but nothing works. What is strange is that when i create the obb folder from a file manager on my, it does create it and i can go into it and i can see the obb of many apps there, but as soon as i come out the folder, the folder vanishes. Someone help please?
obb Folder
Hi there, I had the same problem, but I think the new moto X used the folder Data instead of obb, thats the solution I found for me.
Hi, i want paste game's data in file obb (/android/obb), but i can't that. I was try with a file explorer create a new file obb, bus that says i have a file with obb name, somebody have the same problem? Thanks

Yes I have the issue. May be a root access thing... I'm missing root
First off obb is not a file, its a directory. If the obb folder doesn't exist, create the folder. The game data goes in the obb folder.
You cannot access it @iwebsource. Nor can you create it.
Odd. Usually the /Android/ directory on the internal sdcard is writeable. On the nexus 5 it is anyways.
I'll check it out when my Moto X arrives
It is odd. When we get root access, all will be good then. Debloating of this will occur in the most aggressive way. Dang big red
I have the same problem, cant see the obb folder, when i try to create it it says that a folder with the name is already there(i have root) my solution till someone was:
create a obb folder somewhere else,
put all your obb folder example: obb (main folder)>>abc.com.l2(folder)>>file.obb
copy the obb main folder and paste it in /android/
select override

Can someone tell me how to install game data in the phone memory. I am facing a problem. In tutorials of installing games hitman go and Leo' fortune, it is said that to copy the data to obb folder. But there's no obb folder and when I make it gives me an error: "change the folder name" or something.... And when I put the data in the "data" folder, the games say "you have not purchased the game"... Please help!

You have to connect your phone to a computer and then you will be able to see the obb folder through the computer. For some reason, it can't be seen through the phone. Not sure if this is due to a lack of root or not. I've had some problems with games still not working, but that could be for an unrelated reason.
Well, in my case i was not able to see the obb folder or create one on my mac. What u can do is:-
1) Install ES File Explorer.
2)copy your obb file into the internal storage.
3)There is an option of "windows" in the file explorer.
4)Then click new on the bottom left.
5)select type file(local).
6)enter path"/sdcard"
7)then use search and type "obb" and enter the folder. now you should be able to see the "obb" folder.
8)now switch "windows".
9)now you can select the obb file and use "cut" option and then switch "windows" by swiping in from right and selecting the obb folder.
10)now just paste your file there and then install apk and run your game.
Thnx !
Thnx to both of U!!! I found it now!!! Thnx again!

Just like the title, I can't copy any files to the obb folder. I don't know why. I just installed Resurrection Remix on my A2. Is my obb folder locked? Please help me here.

Well, it didn't work. I was successful at deleting the obb folder first. Then I copied the obb I have for my game then tried starting it. The file I copied just suddenly deleted itself from the obb folder.
Now, I can't also delete the obb folder.
And can you copy files to it now

Still not. I was only able to copy files after deleting the obb folder for the first time. Then, after that, Im not able to copy again.
I wish someone could help me.
create a folder on adnroird named something else, then copy the folder that u want inside there and after that rename folder obb and it works
Try using a computer to transfer your files to OBB folder.
