This is not a Firmware, it's a patch to deodex your current stock rom.

Its 1270-9870.. Although i am not sure why u need it, u probably must be thinking of DRM stuff like BE2 or something..

Hi,
Yes, that is why I asked for it. I've been very careful with what mods I put on my phone. I don't want to booge it down. I am not a dev or an experience themer or anything like that. Just a normal android lover loving the lustful freedom we have with our Android phones. I have read however about the phone having X cust. no. then the user puts on a Y cust. no. - say bye-bye to BE2 plus some more. Hence my question.
And one more thing, SONiX-GERMANY said this is a patch to patch my .odexed stock ROM to an .deoxed stock ROM? Did I read that right? Does that mean I no longer need to follow THIS anymore? Because I though turning a .odex to a .deodexed ROM means to follow that particular guide.
Does it mean I can simply put this on over my .odex stock ROM and it's get a .deodexed stock ROM? I'm so sorry if this is a super novice question but like what I've said I'm just being extra careful.

You're too much worried for nothing.. Deodexing wont hurt any part of TA partition.. TA is related to bootloader, so don't worry about it unless you're about to unlock your bootloader and im that case too, you can backup and restore TA whenever u want. Now, back to the topic, you can flash this in recovery.
Wow never new that there is an easy way to deodex an odexed ROM. I don't need to follow the guide I just mentioned earlier. Hahaha.

Hello nice people of this forum, I've just got myself an Xperia V, running 9.0.1.D.0.10, and is looking for a method to root it without unlocking the bootloader.
I've tried googling it and searching the forums but came back empty. Perhaps some nice person can help me.

If you look in v android development there is an unsecure kernel, but this is for older firmware, maybe it works
Edit: you must unlock bootloader for custom kernel, i do not think bin4ry method works for newer firmwares

So right now, we have no root access without unlocking the bootloader.
Hopefully the genius developers will come up with something soon. A little bothered by the bloatware from my provider.

Hi funiewski,
I have tried rooting by flashing that kernel but I don't seems to get root when I check with the root checker app. Would you be able to advise on this? I would have posted in that thread but apparently I don't have enough post count.

There may be a way to root without unlocked bootloader
Try this well-known way of rooting Xperia AX in Japan.
I guess it's also possible for V to root.
1. Here is a Xperia VL's old rom and you can flash this kernel.sin and system.sin with V's loader.sin.
I can't post the link, but you can find it in uploaded.net. The ID is 3gvvv3w6.
2. Then, Root.
3. Create /data/local.prop (ro.kernel.qemu=1).
4. Flash V's system.sin without wiping.
5. Replace ric, install Busybox and Superuser.
6. Flash V's kernel.sin without wiping.
7. Do Factory data reset to easily delete unnecessary apps.

Stock Firmware Files (FTF-File and CWM-flashable-ZIP-File) for ur XPERIA Tablet Z WiFi 32GB
I am not a Developer so everything u find here comes without warranty! I tested the FTF-File and had no problems on my SGP312! But this
wont mean it is the same for u ... Whatever u do with the files u find here, u do it at ur own risk! I am not responsible for any damages!!!
Here we go:
FTF-File to use with Flashtool
this is Stock Firmware 10.1.C.0.370 from Japan
i guess it makes no difference whether it is Japanese or somewhat else!
DOWNLOAD
CWM-Flashable-ZIP to use u need to read here
this file is slightly modified ... for lack of time it is same like this
maybe root works out of the box ... ef not flash this one to make sure root is correctly installed.
DOWNLOAD
Maybe root is not stable ... dont know ... i could not test the cwm-zip-file ... ef so pls tell me! i can upload another zip-file
contending a modified install-recovery.sh file! Maybe that helps!!!

Thanx alot
I have a brand new xperia tablet Z jb FW10.1.C.0.370 model sgp311 16GB wifi with locked bootloader
Just to be sure before flashing this, how to do!
install flashtool and then flash this japense version off FW 370 and then i have root ??
+ exclude "partition"(because i got the 16gigs version) and "unknown" in flashtool
but what about my language then? if i OTA install my countrys version off 370 i´ll loose root again wont i?
Thanx a newbie
Nope!
As written FTF-file is stock... Atm u can't root fw370 straight away!
CWM Zip-file is modified ... already rooted... but with unlocked bootloader
u can root easily.
U gotta go back to fw344 root it and update Ota... for me root is
inconsistent then but read about working root in some cases
(I don't believe but some wrote it down so...)

So if i unlock bootloader (i say yes) i can install cwm flashable zip from recovery+ superuser.zip, and then i have root?
whitout having to go back to fw344?
Or is it best to wait until binaries get updated with FW370?
:good:
is this a Japanese .370 version, or is it US one?

well i am going to wait ... i am back @ 344 and i will stay @ this fw until root hack is
more stable than nowadays ... but it depends on u ... i have read threads people love

bravia engine as a really really good engine gettin the most beautiful colors out of XTZ.
So ... sorry ur choice ... but yes ur right ... that is the way it goes atm!

thanks, but i'll pass. Not installing foreign firmware in my US XTZ. I've heard there are differences and some apps/features arent the same. Will wait until someone makes flashable zip for US SGP312 version.
@c0llal0, do you encounter the reboot issue while modify the write/read in RE at FW 370? seems i did not meet this issue while at 344 but upgrade to 370(stay rooted), tried stop ric or ensure the etc/install-recovery.sh with 'system/bin/stop ric', not work. Please let me if u could have suggestion instead of back to 344
thanks!
Unlocking bootloader makes this bug disappear.
Carved in this thread with my RAZR HD
Can anyone provide the same firmware for US version of SGP312?
CWM zip don't work over a cm build.. I get cod 6 when I try to flash that..
I guess u need to flash doomlords stock kernel first.

you should put Japanese version in the topic, like everyone else does, who posts firmware files. Otherwise it confuses people and some migh unintentionally flash your update on a tablet from another country and lose all their local apps and settings
Hi!
I bought the Z1, and I do not regret it. Some bug screen, and other small stuff but good
I just talk to you because I am a beginner in android and I do not know what to do for my rooter device. So, I have already been able to untap the overlay of my operator. Now I am. 136 non-root and I realize that many things are accessible via root.
I would like, if you have time, kindness and patience, give me a little tutorial to be root in .136. While I've seen some stuff about that, but there was loss :/ IMEI and since jesuis beginner to android I'm afraid to do something stupid ...
So a little tutorial step by step, with a link to dwnld each time would be great!
I just ask for help ^ ^

Hi all!
Well my problem is the following: I would like to root my Xperia Z1 and have the latest KitKat Rom, nevertheless I like using Vodafone's stock Rom as it includes Vodafone Wallet app, which allows me to pay with my phone using NFC. The problem appears because it's not possible to use Vodafone Wallet app on a Rom which is not original from vodafone, but I don't find any .zip fle which includes a rooted version of vodafone's 14.4.A.0.118 rom.
My question is, could anyone make a zip of that rom which is already rooted, deodexed and so?
Tank you in advance, Axel.

Why don't you root your, Vodafones firmwares?
Deodexing is very simple as well...
You have tool for it in cros section.
Flash ftf
Root it
Install recovery
Extract files with that deodexing tool to your PC
Deodex them
You'll get flashable zip
Flash that zip

There are some issues on some fw, yes.
Try to ask @Ben Ling what changes he did in scripts to avoid bootloop.
You'll have to change few lines, nothing complicated but I don't know which one...actually I can't remember.
You have my post on that thread
Try to fix those line and then try.
Or simply ask Ben to do that for you...

Hey guys,
I have an xperia Z
Model number: c6603
Android version: 4.3
Build number:10.4.1.B.0.109
I let my friend install a custom rom on phone and I do not want it anymore and want my stock firmware back so i can install official updates. I have little to no knowledge on android rooting and flashing roms, i tried searching on the forums but i just couldn't find the answer so i had to make this thread.
I do not have much idea about the rom installed too apart from that its called eXistenZ rom and the OTA updater app says
ROM version 7.0.0
OTA Updater ID: xzexistenzultra
that's pretty much all the info i can think of that i can tell you. If anything else is required let me know, i'll find it and let you know. Please guys, any help will be appreciated.

Also existenz roms do a lot of stuff while maintaining the Sony aspect. Yet it can be quite unstable. I had my fair share of issues.
So restore your phone, Root it, DO NOT UNLOCK BOOTLOADER (unless you make a backup first), install Xposed framework + desired modules and you'll have most of the tweaks found in curent flagships .
