This will destroy your heart - Galaxy Note 4 General

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tKehUiowI6Q
I'm sorry.
I'm really really sorry.

Hard to watch but also pointless really & I didn't pay for the phone so not that distressing ?

But what happens if I drop it off a 50 story building, then run it over with a steamroller, before nuking it?

Are you tube videos really that profitable?

Did I miss the point of this ridiculous video? Jeez, we now know beating a high value smartphone with a large hammer will destroy it.. I can die now knowing collecting this information is checked off of my bucket list.
Galaxy Note4

Was going to hammer bash mine this weekend, just to see what would happen. This video saved me a few bucks. Cheers

I have a white Note 4 that I find a bit boring, so I was thinking I may place it in the oven and bake it until golden brown.

Now I know, that I don't put a foot long knife together with my Note in my front pocket of my jeans.
And I'm wondering that my Note is scratched very fast.?

I like your ideea...and the colour...could you confirm that after baking the resulted color is golden brown? And another thought...I also have the black version so if you could tell me how to turn it to blue or maybe red...I would greatly appreciate.

Some people are not eat or food and someone break 750 € phone

To be fair, he's probably being paid to do that to a device that he hasn't purchased himself, so he's just a man doing his job. And the people who paid him to do it probably invested the price of the phone in the form of advertisement, so there's nothing evil here, just marketing.

If anything, what is disgusting is how racist you are, how condescending and your unjustified sense of superiority.

Got it point taking. Don't try to cut my note 4 open like meat and don't test my hammer on it.

its not about speeding it about being aware of much more, so many people think that oh i need a radar so i dont get caught. NO thats not my point and thats not why i want one.

Not being argumentative in the slightest - I'd just stay out if I was - you've sparked my curiosity. What else are they for then? I thought they were literally just for telling you about speed traps.

your not argumentative at all, but they have many uses like for instance the GPS modules tell your speed, red light cameras, accuracy on speed.
The bands it has like for instance a 15 band has 7 types of radars, 6 lasers, and 2 safety signals. like when a firetruck or emergency vehicles, etc...
several other reasons too, just gives you a warning doesn't give you the GO to speed.
*bump* does anyone use them?? i would like some advice on them
Just make sure it doesn't show up on the police's radar, Cause mine did and they took it... It was long time ago, so maybe the new one's are better

Don't waste your money on a Cobra. When they came out 30 years ago they were the best, but they have fallen seriously behind.
Look at Escort/Beltronics. They're the same company but I think they still sell under both names. Best radar detectors out there hands down.
And make sure they are legal in the state you plan on using it. The fines and hassle of getting caught are much much worse than the speeding ticket.

if you are going to get one, get a good one, with laser detection and such
those will cost you about $300, starts at around $250
they do work, except for when the come is hidding beneath your windshield level of view
LOL that's the only time they got me
they should invent X-Ray detectors so it can monitor through under the hood, then you'll get a nice 360 monitoring

Honestly,in that price range,I would just wait on getting one. They typically won't do enough to warrant spending 100-120. if you can't get at least an 8500 x50, I wouldn't waste my money. I wouldn't buy anything under 200.

I've owned a cobra. Be it an older cheaper model from like 02. But like I said, "I" wouldn't buy anything less than an x50. I couldn't justify it. For the price,I'm sure it's a decent RD judging from a quick search, just not something I would buy.

Anything under $300 won't do you much good. Look up the Valentine 1, passport escort, or belltronics sti. They are well known and respected. You can do some research at radarroy.com its pretty informative

I thought it was a joke at first, but then I read on.
Not really sure about it though £13 is a fair price to pay for a look-a-like tatty envelope.
If I used one of these, somebody at work would try and post it!
I'd rather go down to the shop and buy a 50p jiffy bag and put my own stamps on it!

Bought a pone from someone, he wants it back???

I know I spelled "Phone" wrong
Recently, I was at a public place and someone came up to me begging me to buy his phone. Long story short, after a lot of talk I bought the phone from him and after 4 days he calls and tells me he wants it back.
Now, I have paid money for the phone and he is threatening me that he will call the cops on me because of theft and it is in his name. I paid for it, should it not be mine? Im in Canada btw
How does he have your phone number?
Did you have him sign a contract saying you bought it from him or get any proof that you did buy it from him?
He got my phone number because I am a dumb nut and I decided to call him from my other phone. There is proof that he sold it to me because I recorded the phone calls and it says he sold it to me.
Re: Bought a phone from someone, he wants it back???
In my opinion I would keep it. A person like that I would keep it just to really annoy. If he calls the cops what aren't they going to do. You can explain the story and then either you will keep the phone or they will take the phone and you get your money. All in all it is a win win for you. I would also not reply to him lol. Happened to me before but I just ignored them. No cops came thankfully.
Btw what phone did you buy. I bet he wants it back as he's used all the money lol. May not be but sounds like it.

Well honestly if someone desperately sold you the device for 40 they probably are strung out on drugs.
If you have proof of you're gain(the phone) and his gain (money) and normally a witness would be perfect but if he's trying all this I might just sell it back. He probably try to assault you or break windows, but if you really want to keep it record a convo with him acting like you stated then call and have a restraining order placed.

you're = you are (You're using "you're" incorrectly.)
where as
your = the possessive form of the word you (Using the word you're in this case was your mistake.)
This concludes Storm's "you're, your, yore" class for the day.
One question! How old is this hilarious human being? 7?

Bought a fake Galaxy S5

Realized I bought a fake galaxy s5 earlier today. I didn't know there were so good fakes out there now, I haven't kept up with cell phones since the HTC EVO 3D. I'm mad, I bought it for $325 . I am so ****ing pissed at myself for being so stupid. I should have come on here first and done some research but I was dying for a new phone since I have been on the Nokia Lumia 900 for the past year and its on its last legs, saw the 325 price tag on CL and jumped on it thinking I got a good deal. Never again will I let impulses get the best of me. This is more of a rant, but also here is this guys information in case any of you are in the Central Florida region (this is a copy and paste of a CL ad I just made warning other users on CL):
This mother****er sold me a fake Galaxy S5. His ads are the following links:
links are blocked because I have less than 10 posts
His phone number is: 7862021013
And he calls himself T. He is a tall black man that drives a sedan. He will ask you to meet him in front of Walmart on Turkey Lake Rd.
DO NOT BUY THE GALAXY S5 or any phones from him, no matter how low he is going. The S5 is 100% fake. Run CPU-ID app on phone and you will see that it does not have a Snapdragon process but an ARM Cortex old ass one. It also does not have 16gb memory but 1.7gb. Also if you look at the box you will notice that it says 3GB of RAM when the original Galaxy S5 really has 2GB. This man is a lie and a cheat. Do not get conned like I have. I gave him $325 and am stuck with a fake ass replica.
This is only fair warning to other CL users, I would hate to hear of others fall victim to this con.
**edit: Updated with pictures of the fake s5. I should have looked at the box itself more closely, right there it said 3GB RAM, Fell so stupid.

For $325 for an S5 you should expect it to be stolen, Broken, or bad IMEI. Or in this case fake. I NEVER use craglist anymore due to this happening to people with any & everything. I also Highly Recomend Swappa.com I see fakes sold ALL the time on Cragslist. I Usually send harassing texts about to them as well. lol.
But could you not tell it was fake? I know they have gotten better at making decent knock offs but usually at first glance of the front and or software / Screen I can tell easily.
That wretch, I feel for you! Just make sure when you get the S5 get the new one with more memory. Just chalk it up as a lesson learned, heck you have a little toy to play with now.

Ya, you can tell just from the CPU-ID pictures I have there, the processor isn't the real one and theres only 2GB of usable memory...100% fake. Also the outside cosmetics are off. I wish I had researched this before I bought it. Stupid me. And no I didn't check the camera, I was actually in a rush to leave cuz it was 96 degrees out here today and I was sweating balls lolz. Next time I'll meet people in a starbucks or something and take time to look over what I'm buying
For me the first thing that popped was the led flash. In every fake cell phone it has that look/texture whereas in original phones it has a totally different look. For the author of this thread, this is something to be learned. Even if the phone is sealed in a box, open it, check it, look carefully at the exterior and then look in the phone info. If the seller does not want you to open the box simply pass, there are enough phones out there.

I just took a look at the home button and it is black, from the outside it does look remarkably well done! But I would never buy on a parking lot, that is always fishy, no matter where you are from.

Well lesson learned. Be glad it's only for $325. Please call the police and see if they can do anything. Thanks BTW, I just downloaded CPU-Z, nice app, everyone should use it when buying any used phone.
Damn that sucks bad man. I never buy on craigslist, I only sell. I feel for you buddy. Lesson learned for all of us.

Incorrect. The S4 had silver, are you thinking of that? If you have a black S5 and your earpiece is silver, it's you that has a fake lol.

Note 9 bursting into flames..

Personally, I don't believe these stories but I thought I'd share nonetheless.

Sounds like Apple fans trying to keep Samsung down. Won't work. Note 9 is awesome
I don't think anyone can ever truly believe that their batteries are so perfect that it could never happen.
It's happened to all manufacturers and as long as we keep using a volatile chemistry such as the lithium polymers, we will keep seeing it happen, isolated or not.

Can Samsung be this stupid and careless to repeat the same blunder for the third time!! I strongly feel they simply can't be.
Having said so, I can let the battery burst if I have the will and plan it accordingly.
Yeah, no pics, even in the original source, NYPOST, a lot of nonsense to describe in a long article, without a single pic or vid... Don't think poor Samsung can afford to go through the infamous "flaming phone" again, after the costly Galaxy note 7 wordwide recall. Nevertheless, the news itself even cannot be proofed, must be like a haunted curse to Samsung.
"delet this"
- Samsung CEO
I can smell the bulls*** content of that article from miles away
If there were any pics, I would be skeptical, but now, hell no
Ha yeah what nonsense. It said a good Samaritan picked up the phone, in flames, with a "cloth" lol, and dumped it in a bucket of water, I don't know where this apparently happend, but I mean we've all seen these safety buckets in every lobby right? ?? I vote this thread be deleted as it's only contributing to it's spread. If any actual evidence appears then yeah, fair enough. But at the moment it just screams attention seeking money grabber haha.

WTF?!?!? lol
We all know that batteries can fail just like any other component. However I don't believe this is going to be the wide spread fiasco that was the Note 7.
Also, My phone doesn't even heat up under normal or extended use. All of my Note 7's did.

I think her phone did burst into flames but it can happen to any phone.
She already has a lawsuit against Samsung? Hmmm... Going for the money?

I don't think heat during normal use was an indication of the fault in the note 7. A lot of users reported no indicators before it happened.
Thermal runaway can happen pretty quickly. As in the thing is smoking before you realized it was hot

Couldn't agree more. Everyone is all up in arms after what happened with the note 7 but there are so many factors to consider with the chemistry of the batteries and the manufacturing process.
No battery ever will be completely devoid of defects, just so happened a design flaw in the note 7 exasperated other elements of the battery manufacturing process that caused the batteries to fail at a higher rate.
Companies manage risk because it cannot be eliminated, the note 7 wasn't a matter of them not having tests and procedures in place. It's a matter of best laid plans. Some times chit happens.
My main worry is this hurts Note 9 sales and they decide to nix the Note 10. I recall Samsung is going to decide to keep or nix the Note 10 depending on sales of the Note 9. Otherwise the Note and S line will be merged.

If the note 7 didn't stop them....
Thing is if the note line goes away it will probably still be a note with another name. And also it would have nothing to do with one phone taking a crap.
No pics or evidence
New York *anything* (imo everything from that state, and media in general, cant be trusted without evidence).
Kinda sad this is newsworthy at all. Phones explode all the time. An iPhone battery exploded while my coworker was trying to replace its battery just a couple months ago. No one cares.
You should've used archive.is or something, OP, this is clickbait at best.
Until it's official thread closed to prevent widespread panic and mass hysteria....???
