hi my phone is a g900a and is Unknown Baseband, on previous versions of galaxy the solution is just to flash a modem, but that is not working with this one, tried to backup an restore efs, tried to wipe security by octopus box, tried with qpst, tried by odin, by getprop ro.baseband I can see the baseband, any detail you need just ask it, any suggestion? please help thanks
sorry to hi-jack your post, but what exactly does an octopus box do? Is it a JTAG adapter? I'd like to single step some of the boot loader code.
Were you able to find a fix for the unknown baseband?

Try to flash correct bootloader or take update, adb sideload should work too.

I installed a I9000XXJW4(United Kingdom / Ireland) this from sammobile.com and all other firmwares also from this site.
Nice one kies! Never use it again, Odin or heimdall! You can try this kit to flash to a basic gingerbread and see if it rescues your imei as it is multi csc, unzip it and read the.txt, if you follow it you will end yup with rooted phone with custom recovery

Yes dear i also not backup my efs folder and also format efs through odin also
Just follow the instructions and give it a try, but sounds like you may have lost it altogether, but if you have the original box the phone came in it will have the imei number on it, so go to Samsung service centre and they can fix it, tell them kies caused the problem, they may fix it for free, before you take it flash back to stock Rom with Odin though

Thanks for this, Slappy. It didn't work for me, but I learned how to unpackage all that stuff and properly load it into Heimdall and into my phone. Which is still a mess, but at least I did learn something, hah.

If so try to restore it.
With root explorer you can copy the efs file.

downgrade back to gingerbread use a JVU + root http://filerio.in/813lzbepi1em and than do progressive upgrade (read My Android Solutions) link below
You can always try to reconstruct the efs file. There are tutorials for how to do that.

What do you mean by "this is fake"?
When you restock via odin with the 3parted Stock ROM and 512 pit, repartition ticked, then your IMEI should be back again. Flashing "only" the rom.zip via CWM does not solve it most of the times.
btw: he meant the 004xxxx imei is a fake. This will be included automatically to the abot phone info when you lost your "real" imei.

mmh strange....did you used and original stock firmware from samsung?
You can also try it with slappys rescuepack, which i always use, when i have or want to restock. Has all you need in that zip. and also a todo or guide.
Perhaps ou give it a try?

still not working.my imei is still 00049..
Is there any way i can find my phone's original imei ?
Yes, if you pull your battery out, then there you will find a label sticked onto the cover. And this will show you your IMEI. But you cannot just type it in somewhere, thats not possible.
And i am wondering and its really strange, that after flashing a stockfirmware or that rescue pack you do not get your IMEI back ?
For me it worked every time....did you led phone boot through after first reflash and pass the setup wizard? Or did you just flashed something on top? Customsoftware or else?
I flashed wrong rom and lost imei and baseband. Please help me.

I flashed "Small Eui by aurel for le max 2"
Anyways Thank you guys for showing interest and replying. I fixed it. I just had to flash "Full Stock Rom" with TWRP as it didn't work with stock recovery.
what did I do?
1. downloaded Stock Rom from Here.
2. I deleted first two lines from the file "update-script" File with notepad++(\META-INF\com\google\android\)
3. I flashed that zip file and Voila...
Got my IMEI/Baseband Back...
Hope It will help people who lost IMEI/Baseband by flashing wrong ROM.
the stock rom not working the link, can you please send correct link and i also flashed stock rom but didn't get back IMEI and baseband

Is it the mediatek version? If so, install Ghost Phone from Playstore and write down the IMEIs there. At least that app generally works with any mediatek out there (you need root).

yes i have twrp, there are just so many different opinions out there and boxes and roms and kernels etc.. That i seem to be lost in the details. I have dealt with this phone for about 6 months now. I have repaired baseband successfully but cannot seem to recreate the event. I have combination files, sboots, engsboots, efs backups, in fact every partition but am unsure how to solve the drk issue...

I have the SM-G920T and I'm using the Twisted Nougat Rom without issue. Maybe give that a whirl with a clean flash.
