I'm looking to buy an external battery charger. I would prefer something with at least 6000mah with a built in usb cable. The best deal I can find is this
http://www.amazon.com/6000mAh-Ultra...16639656&sr=8-2&keywords=anker+built+in+cable
This is the one I use. http://www.amazon.com/HooToo%C2%AE-TripMate-6000mAh-Wireless-Portable/dp/B00DTPYRTI/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1416641411&sr=8-3&keywords=hootoo
It's great because it's very small, but in addition to an external battery charger, it's also a wireless router, which enables you to securely connect to public networks (both ethernet and wireless). It also allows you to plug in a thumb drive, and use that as wireless storage. Best of all, it has charge passthrough, so it can charge your phone while it is charging, which is unusual for external batteries. The Hootoo app lets you control everything from your phone. I never travel without it.
I use a mikrotek swiss 10000 mah
I have last year's version of this, http://www.amazon.com/EasyAcc-10000mAh-Portable-Smartphones-Bluetooth/dp/B00CJ87ZNQ
I play ingress so I have a few, 2 anker 2nd gen astro3 12,000 mAh (shake to activate), 1 anker 13,000 mAh astro E4, and one anker 2nd gen astro 6,000 mAh. I've used Limeade before and was not impressed, as well as a number of others that I've forgotten the name of. hands down, anker makes the best out there.

50 000 mah for less than 20 bux. cali shipping warehouse.
ive 4 of these. one for my gopro kit, one for the phone, one for a dashcam, one for my nex 9.
have experience with these for several months now. nothing fancy about them (no brand name or marketing that increases the cost), just pure power.
This is what i have http://www.amazon.com/12800mAh-Portable-External-Battery-Technology/dp/B00CEZBKTO. I really like its form factor and true capacity. Many external batteries out there exaggerate their true capacity. Anker is a trusted brand. I use many of their products.
One thing I dont like about my charger is the shake to turn on feature. I find it annoying. It's too sensitive. Little touch can activate the charger. I learn to ignore it after awhile.

I use the ZeroLemon Slim Juice 18600 mAh external battery

I bought it back in February and it had worked wonders for me. It still works like a champ! I've dropped it a could of times onto hard surface and its pretty rugged. I'd highly recommend it!

In my Jeans?
yes
I wear loose jeans.
It's actually smaller than the N6, and about 1.5times thicker than my N6 with the Spigen case.
i use this one from Ibattz http://www.amazon.com/ibattz-Battst...ie=UTF8&qid=1416755216&sr=8-3&keywords=ibattz
I mostly like it bc it has the protective case..
I also use Anker, with the Astro E3 10,000 and the Astro E5 15,000.
Note however that I had these back when I used my Nexus 4, and that they were mostly used for heavy Ingress activity. Since owning the N6 I have yet needed to use a battery pack.

I have this one (5200mah version that I no longer see for sale) though I like that first one you posted OP because of that charger cable built in.

For an external battery, I use a Techmatte charger. Lasts for about three and a half charges, three charges if charging from empty. Pretty simple design, not too expensive.
Kamashi 10000Mah battery. It's cheap and works great.

I've had my Athena nearly 2 years now, with daily hard use. I'm surprised the factory battery has lasted this long, but I've noticed over the last month or two that it was going downhill quickly. In the last week it has finally fallen off a cliff - it will say 100% charge but 5-10 minutes of web surfing and it will just shut off, no warning.
Time for a new battery. I'm sure some of you are due for one, too.
I looked around the net and I see 2 or 3 shops selling a battery for about US$20, and in one case they even claim its a smaller (capacity) battery than the factory one. Plus shipping. Ouch. So, I found a supplier on Ebay that was advertising them for under US$10 - with free shipping and the same capacity as the factory battery. I ordered 2 and I'll post later to let you know how they seem to hold up.
Anyone else find a good source?
Hi
I must say I've already had the same problem and am now quite happy with an ebay battery. seems not really worse than the htc one. There is one disadvantage, though. The pin that holds the battery in place breaks usually after one,two months of usage. Recently I had to make a replacement one using a copper wire - works pretty well.
I'll be sure to keep the pin from the original battery in case this happens.
Hi there ,
Try pm asking bradaland from usa , he seems to get a few advantage batteries at a very good deal in usa . But make sure those pins you are talking about is made of steel and not black plastic - some manufacturers produced oem batteries with plastic pins - it will break after a few times you slot in and out the battery , watch out ! Thks for reading - cheers - jimmunsw
Anyone notice the battery door will not fit (slight bulge in the middle of the door) with after market batteries? Even making sure the pin is locked into the hole the top part of the bracket seems to be sticking up to far. I even swapped out the metal pin from the original battery and still fits poorly.
Anyone have this happen ..and anyone have a solution? I just don't want to break the door tabs.
The new batteries arrived today, two of the ones available on ebay right now (7 left last time I checked). They are marked identically to the original battery, with metal pins. I'll charge the first one tonight and let you know how it holds up in the first few days.
Hi Could you update us with the performance of your new battery if possible?
A link would be very helpful also or the name of the shop that you have bought it.
I have to change battery also and your experience can be helpful.
So far both batteries are functioning normally. I haven't done any hard testing to see if they last as long, but under normal use they are fine. I bought them from user "bestseller2628" on ebay. Note: these are definitely Chinese knock-offs. BOTH batteries I bought arrived with an identical serial number sticker! But I expected that for something that cost half of what other dealers were asking (and since the batteries ship from Hong Kong).
Got an extra batt
I bought an extra battery 3 months ago from a battery replacement shop (for pda, cameras, mobile phone etc.) in my area...I was surprised that they have one, 'cause there may only be roughly around 5-10 HTC Athena units/owners in our country (seen two brandnew units for sale, two used units for trade/sale, and known 2 other owners, total of 7 confirmed units in the country) ...
It has a metal pin and though it's only 1800mAh, with normal use it lasts a day and a half...
Good thing was it had a 3-month replacement warranty and worth only $16...

Hello
I bought recently 3 batteries from ebay, 2200 mAh with plastic pin. Its work fine, like an original battery, but for very little money. The plastic pin was broken inmediately, but I can to extract it perfectly. I also bought a wall charger. I can charge the batteries without the pda.

Hey guys!
I think I found the perfect combination of car mount+car charger for the HD2!
NOTE: Links are listed at the bottom of this post. Also, I am in no way affiliated with the sellers.
I was searching all the available mounts on Amazon (I didn't want to spend money on shipping I have prime) and each one of them was either too flimsy or expensive.
Then it dawned on me that I could may be use the EVO's car mount, I checked this site and sure enough, they have really close dimensions.
I took the plunge and bought a mount and guess what? It fits the HD2 perfectly! The mount pivots about the center ball joint which itself is attached to a goose neck allowing for almost infinite adjust-ability. The orientation can be locked in place with a thumb screw near the ball joint. The best thing is, the whole thing stays quiet solid and doesn't jump around when on uneven roads (at least in my rental car)
I also wanted a charger and I found a genuine Motorola 1A charger (most of the others were 500mA) and while using GPS navigation, the HD2 consumes ~400mA or more depending on the screen brightness, Bluetooth etc. That only leaves ~100mA or less for charging the battery which is five times less than what USB provides. You can imagine how slowly the battery would charge.

looks great
I thought I would start a new thread but it's probably not necessary.
I have strongly considered OP's combination for days a few weeks ago and I found some similar items @ Monoprice with the monoprice kind of price, if you know what I mean. I give you a quick review if you're shopping for these.
The (universal) car mount $3.57
The mount is definitely bulkier than the one OP recommends but overall it's certainly not a bad product. Once you figured how you want to position it, the mount is pretty sturdy. My only regret is that it won't stick to my dashboard as I would thought but it's because of the texture of the dashboard, not because of the suction cup of the mount, so it's stuck to the windshield. For less than $4, it's just awesome.
the 5 volt 1000 mAh car charger $1.78
The build can be labeled as 'a bit flimsy' and I have yet to drive with the phone plugged in with GPS to check the battery drain (or lack thereof).
I can tell the phone charges with Winamp playing. It is no real surprise I know but it is the main use when in the car. Cord could be a tiny bit longer but it's a good deal.
EDIT: 2 months later
the build is definitely sh***y. if you let it too long in the power outlet, a piece a plastic breaks and the thing doesn't work anymore. Could be easily fixed but I won't bother. Monoprice nicely replaced the first one without asking but now my second one broke and I'll get the motorola one from amazon.
I got to grab a $3 BT headset and I'm good
look great, thanks
Hi chvvkumar, after reading your post I have decided to buy the same car charger from Motorola as you have. I would like to ask you if you could let me know how much mAh does your phone show as receiving when it is charging.
When I tried mine, it was receiving about +/-450mAh, which is what I normally see when I use the normal charger.
Thanks for the information.
The mount looks just like mine - over 12 months old, lives attached to the screen, gets used most days of the week, don't remember where it came from apart from it was Ebay
a good couple of £ investment
I'd love to see a stand that would hold the charging disk sort of like this one. https://www.amazon.com/ZenWatch-Artifex-ZenWatch2-Technology-Smartwatch/dp/B01CMVX9M0

Yeah looks nice, I guess its just a matter of time before 3rd party accessories start coming in. But do remember that the bundled charger comes with fast charging and I'm not sure if 3rd party ones would be able to do that? Asus calls it 'exclusive HyperCharge technology' so don't know if its going to work with 3rd party chargers.
Found this thread while looking for a stand.
But luckily i do have a 3d printer. Made up one and put it up on thingiverse

Works perfectly. It does NOT come with a charger but I didn't expect it to. It uses the existing charger and fits perfectly.
How long time does it take for full charging from 15-20% to 100%?
Any info for the official stand from Asus?
Do we know any differences between both stand witch one is better than the second one.

Full charge from 1% to 100% takes less than one hour.
From 15-20% charge to 100% takes about 30 minutes.
This Zenwatch 3 charges more than twice as fast compared to any
other Android Wear watch.
The printed stand is so good it should be called the "official" Zenwatch 3 stand.
There is only one stand for the Zenwatch 3 both links have exactly the same
stand for sale but are from a different sellers.
I can't wait until the 3rd party bands start rolling in.
Hopefully there will be leather bands with a clasp
just like my zenwatch 2 came with.
Ok thanks i will order it too.
+1 on the printed stand. I like it a lot. Works well.
I built my own from a wooden candle holder. Fixed the charger with double-sided adhesive tape...

I'm using a stand primarily built for the Apple watch. But I've placed my ZenWatch3 charger on the allotted slot for the charger and used double side tape. As you can see the watch is firmly held and easy to place and remove from the charger. Plus my Nexus 6P also fits perfectly into the phone slot.
Got one from Thingiverse and waiting for the print from my local 3DHub....
The guy on Amazon that is 3D printing these things now has them in 10 colors...

- 3Pack USB C to USB 3.0 Nylon Braid cable(1M*2+2M):
- 6 ports QC 3.0 charging station
- Stand fast wireless charger
*** Just as an FYI. I tested all of these with my S8+. I ordered my Note 8, but like everyone else... Its on the way.
We can start with the Nylon Cable. Quality of it is great. Its actually braided and does work with fast charging. I have noticed there are a few aftermarket USB-C cords that do not support this regardless of the power brick used. I tried this with my Samsung power brick and the CHOETECH Desktop charger.
What I really liked is that this is a thick cord. Everything on this actually feels like quality.
On to the Charging Station... This one makes me happy. At work, my desk has all of my cables hidden for my multiple monitors, docking station and phone line. I do have two desktop plugs but I use one for my extra laptop and the other has to be shared for my 2 tablets and 2 phones. I brought the charging station to work and it did not disappoint.
There are 2 designated ports that allow for 3.0 charging. I have one tablet and one phone that use that. When plugged in at the same time, both said fast charging enabled. Here are the specs on this one.
Even though for some, this may not be a big deal, I actually like the stand. I don't have a place to hide this 6 USB brick, so it still looked presentable. Best part, this came with a USB-C cord. VERY cool.
Finally the Wireless Stand. I didn't get to play with this one as much as I wanted to but it was awesome. I had it on my charger for less that 20 min and had 30% juice from 15% up to 45%.
Even though I was fortunate enough to receive these from CHOETECH, I will always give my honest review on these. You're definitely getting your money's worth on these three items. Now if my Note 8 can arrive, I will update my photos with that phone.

Listing says 4mm or thinner will work.
so far on EBAY and Amazon they are ALL the same 5500mah device, regardless of brand. Anyone seen anything else interesting?
I would love to find a thin case with 2000mah.
I've been frantically searching for one, too. They have like 8 identical cases on Amazon from 8 different Chinese sellers. It looks identical to the one I JUST BOUGHT for my GS8+. It really came in handy for that phone, now I'm starting all over again.
Battery on the Note 8 has been good, but I like the peace of mind of having a battery case I can slap on in emergencies. I'm hoping we get some options with Prime shipping soon.
Got this one from Amazon to use on the golf course and while traveling. The ONLY one I could find. Still waiting for it to be delivered.

It's the same design as all of them. Really massive and ugly IMHO. I want one with another 2k.
if i can find a battery case that can be charged wirelessly, and will charge the note 8 wirelessly as well, it would be a done deal!
I stay with what has never failed me since my note 2 days zerolemon has never failed me waiting in payday to order it
I'm just waiting til this thing hit $30 or less. No way I'm paying $40 for this because I know the price will drop quick like the S8+ battery cases.
I carry one of these monsters in my bag. I charged my s7 edge about 6 times in full from zero. Battery cases tend to not give much protection for the phone itself.

so far on EBAY and Amazon they are ALL the same 5500mah device, regardless of brand. Anyone seen anything else interesting?
I would love to find a thin case with 2000mah.

some people don't want to carry around multiple devices with a cable and rather just 1 device.
I've never been a fan of Mophie and that's probably because they rip people off with their pricing. Just go and look at their portable batteries and your jaw will drop. I think Anker, zerolemon, and Rav power are really killing the game. Might put Mophie out of business if they keep their prices so high. Their products are **** relative to the price they ask. $150 for a 13,000 mAh power bank... Like wtf!!
Well anyways, I've also been looking for something like 2500 mAh battery pack for the note 8. Had a S8 plus and got the zerolemon one and holy crap that was massive. Very hard to use and very uncomfortable in the hand. It was still a great case and nothing wrong with it but it sucks no one has something smaller than 5500. Honestly I think the reason is that that are all using the same supplier or the same battery and you can tell they are all the same battery cases. Exact same button design and everything lol. So I hope some company decides to come out with a smaller slimmer battery case. I feel like alot of people would buy!
