Device won't show up in explorer - Nexus 6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

This has happened to me on prior devices I believe, but I cannot see my device in windows explorer (both before and after unlock/rooting). However, I can see it in device manager listed as "Android Device" --> "Google Nexus ADB Interface". This allowed me to run Wug's Nexus toolkit among other things. Any ideas?
What I'm on:
Windows 8.1 x64 Asus ROG laptop
Unlocked/Rooted/Custom Recovery/Non-force encrypted Nexus 6 from Sprint

I have run into that as well. Used Wug to install current driver. Just follow instructions in Wug Kit.

Driver Solution #1. I am on Windows7 32 thou.

Switched to Windows 8 64. uninstalled all previous instances of nexus, rebooted, plugged in. Showed up on first try. Ditto with Nexus 5 and Nexus 10.

How to install UBUNTU 11.04 very easily in your PC

Hey guys! as you know, linux OS is better supported to develope in android than any other OS.
There is a lot of people that feel lazy when they want to install linux: making partitions, resize them, download linux, burn in a dvd... but thas has changed..
This is just an .exe file. You install it just like another windows program, following the steps. Installation is very fast, you don't need to create partitions and you can uninstall ubuntu from your computer easily from windows as every program.
1. Download Ubuntu installer from the official site: http://www.ubuntu.com/download/ubuntu/windows-installer
2. Will click with right button on the file we downloaded, and we will click in fix compatitbility problems

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
3. Then we will click in the second option. It should say something as fixing problems program.
4. Then we will click in the first option. Should be something like "the program used to work in past versions of windows but now it doesn't gets started
5. Then we will click on "Windows Vista"
6. Now we can install the program normally. It will download and install ubuntu as a normal windows program. When it finishes reboot your computer. Ubuntu will boot. Set first settings and reboot again. It will let you use ubuntu or windows.
Now you can enjoy this amazing OS with any complications.
Hope it's helpful!!
How can this be related to I9003 at all?
Tnx for the info,gonna try this tom.

Rumrunner and windows not working together, Windows causing error

So I was finally able to get rumrunner to get to the "rebooting into boot loader, waiting for bootloader". my phone will reboot into fastboot, then my computer will come up with this error and nothing will happen then rumrunner will timeout.
Device manager showing my device,

Then I get this error after reboot
and also device manager does not show my phone anymore after the error. This is really frustrating because I am so close but this stupid hiccup is causing a problem. I am using Windows 8.1 and using USB 2.0 with the HTC USB cord, and have followed all the directions.

OMG, thank you for that, I never seen that thread, I am finally S-OFF and it feels so good.

{SOLVED} Good ADB connection but fails at Fastboot under Windows 8.1?

SOLVED
Hello, while trying to SIM unlock following this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2586704 and this custome HBOOT: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2565201
I notice my fastboot connection fails with a "USB not recognized" error after trying fasboot everytime.
Never had this problem before, and ADB recognizes my device correctly every time. Re-installed drivers, and tried other laptops, but all fails at fastboot, which never happened before.
Some info: Windows 8.1, latest drivers (tried different ones), S-OFF, tried various USB ports and laptops. Never had fastboot problems under Windows 8.1 before.
EDIT: I think the problem is the phone itself now after using that custom Hboot? Reason being that no matter what RUU I try, when it tries to start the bootloader, the USB not recognized appears just like when I boot into the bootloader and try to fastboot any command.

So, I guessed right... turns out, under Hboot 1.55, my drivers that worked with 1.56, don't work anymore, so I had to install a fresh copy of Windows 7 x64 on another laptop in order to have a correct Fastboot connection .
There is another thread floating around on getting correct drivers for Hboot 1.55 under Windows 8.1, but I was too lazy to try and, and didn't mind installing a copy of Windows 7 as a dual boot on a laptop, just in case I need it in the future.
PS: I think it would also work under a virtual machine of windows 7 (vmware or virtualbox)

Use the USB charging cable which came with your note 9. Connect your note 9 to your laptop using this cable. Allow permission. Done. That worked for me!
drivers?
Win 7 to 10 should recognise the device without need of external driver installation...
Anything older than that or Linux, you might need to look on the Samsung site...
It's Windows 10 and for some weird reason nothing happens except that the phone will charge when plugged into the laptop the same laptop I've used for all my galaxy Notes I've had drivers installed on my HP forever just don't get why this Note 9 is any different.

Check your USB Configuration in Developer Mode and make sure it's not set to charging.

Question diagnostics port via USB Debugging

We have a test 5G StandAlone network. I now have 2 phones working, and have tested more then 20 phones. One of the 2 phones is the OnePlus Nord CE 5G. I want to use this phone to run TEMS investigation software. https://www.infovista.com/tems/investigation
For this I need a diagnostics port via USB Debugging. TEMS telle me to run the command:
adb shell
su
setprop sys.usb.config diag,serial_cdev,rmnet,adb
I have rooted my OnePlus Nord CE (EB2103), running Android 11.0.11.11.EB13BA. When I start the RNDIS,Diag on the phone I get 3 devices on my Windows 11 Laptop:

I think I need Drivers to get this to work. Can you help me to find them? Or do I need to do something else?
If I search for these VID_05c6 and PID_90B6 I do find some reference to Qualcomm USB drivers but no site where I can download them.
Your help would be much appreciated.
P.S. I documented how I rooted my Oneplus Nord CE 5G because the documented methods gave me problems: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/root-on-oneplus-nord-ce-5g.4463269/
any help would be much appriciated.
Did you activate USB debugging in developer options? If yes, did you install android adb drivers? -> If not, follow this link and its instructions please:
Install OEM USB drivers | Android Studio | Android Developers
Discover links to the web sites for several original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), where you can download the appropriate USB driver for your device.
developer.android.com
If your PC can't find the correct driver by automatic search, do it manually as its described under the topic "Or, to upgrade an existing Android USB driver on Windows 7 and higher with the new driver"
