I think that when the phone is off the buttons are working, but when I restore even stock 2.2.1 they aren't working. Any ideas to fix this?

Hi all, i've got a problem, with sgs tool i have applied the hack camera and then i've apply the touchwiz mod..all done but now I have a phone with black screen all working, I can call (only if someone call me) I can send sms (only i someone send me sms) The phone i perfectly working but i have no laucher please help me. Phone goes in recovery mode and also in download mode i have yet done the 2 wipe..nothing changed...
I also have a z4mod acrive...can I upgrade my froyo with odin at the JPU version without problem? Or there's a way to acces root from PC? I just rename touchwiz and restore the backup in my hd...please anybody could help? Really I need that
Since i've update my SGS to android froyo the Proximity sensor stoped working and the position sensor taken 30sec to turn the image...
I've used the test mode code to check hardware error, but there everything is working perfectly...
If I put the Android 2.1 the problem doesn't show up.
Does anyone have the same problem or solution?
Nobody has this issue?
Is quite strange... because if i put a Android 2.1 ROM everything works just fine, but with later version of android the sensors still working (using test mode from SGS Tools, I confirmed that the sensors are just fine), but the system takes a huge time (~30sec) to do something...
Please, if anyone knows anything that could solve this problem, please say something!
I think that in the first week that I had Froyo everything warked fine, but I'm not sure...
Is there any way to do a complete reset and set everything to default values including Hardware settings?
I've already done Factory reset and Full factory reset, by CWM and Code.
Nobody??? Anything???
Is this a genuine samsung rom you are using .
A flashed rom or a genuine Kies updated firmware .
jje
I'm now using a ROM official (sam***gfirmwares.co*) flashed by ODIN.
Should I try use Kies?
No i was just trying to rule out a flakey rom .
My usual suggestion is a wipe via ODIN

But i would stop at Eclair and see if its solved the problem if OK upgrade further .
jje
Its the same thing...
Its quite awkward, because only apendds in Froyo...
why not try a custom froyo rom, head over to doc's kitchen and cook yourself one up. also try lagfix, and any other speed up tweaks. how does the phone respond normally ?? without the sensors ? is it quite speedy or does it lag ??
The phone work just fine but when i turn the phone it take a lot of time to twist the image... I can even still interact with the screen until it turns...
The proximity sensor takes a lot of time too...
No one else has this problem?
Normally I hate haptic feedback, and set vibration for notification only. But today I got a Galaxy S which completely does not vibrate. Ok, I set everything that could possibly make it vibrate, but it still does not.
Is this a hardware issue or can it be fixed by any other software solution?
Please help
PS: I applied 3-button combo fix by ODIN3 method. Unfortunately, I did not pay attention to this issue before applying the fix, can this be a possible cause of the problem?
Thanks

Yes if the problem was not there before ..
Try a factory reset.

Thanks for your reply. I did a factory reset, but the issue remains. I heard somewhere it might be caused by installing OCLF, which I also did...
I found an item name /lib/modules/vibrator.ko, guessing this is something to do with vibration and tried out but got no luck yet...
JJEgan, what's with you and not using the "quote" function? It's confusing.
what firmware are you on?
i had this weird issue on the bell i9000M on the stock 2.1 firmware (whatever the firmware version was before JH2). my text message notifications would not vibrate when i received them, but after i updated the firmware, the issue was gone.

Mine won't vibrate at all. I am using Froyo, and have flashed a few ROMs to see if they help. No luck so far though. I am kinda thinking of sending it back to the seller
Yeah, it sounds like a hardware issue then if you're already running froyo. Hopefully they'll send you a new one that works.
So I attempted my first flash using seeARMS JL2 2.2 flash. Everything went well for the most part but then I realized my home button didn't work - so I tried a fix (*#*#2663*#*#) and this didn't work - in fact it made it worse as my home AND now the back button don't work (yet the home button works to get into recovery mode - so it's a software issue)
I tried wiping cache/data and re-installing the ROM via CWM but this didn't fix it.
What are my options ? To flash the original stock samsung firmware (JL2) and start over ?
I need advice/help
Even when I went back and did a full restore via Nandroid the home button and back button still don't work - when previously they did - WTF is that all about ? I thought the backup / restore worked ?
What hardware do you have? i9000? i9000m? Captivate?
It seems to me that people had trouble with the bottom row buttons when they mixed up Captivate and i9000 ROMs...

i9000m - BELL (called the vibrant here)
the ROM was for BELL users only so I don't see how I could've mixed up the ROMS
the Kernal is the SOK super optimized kernal for i9000 - and the rom is seeARMS i9000m BELL JL2
OK, as you say the JL2 is definitely for your hardware. No idea what went wrong, but now that you have blasted the touch key firmware, you might be in a bit more of a pickle.
These guys on this thread seem to have had some success with rolling back to stock firmware and then doing a touch FW upgrade again.

Yeah I noticed that the home button was messed with the original flash but everything else worked -- I once had an issue with the back button and the 3663 dial fixed it so I tried it again - however this just messed up my back button, so now both back and home button isn't working
shouldn't I be able to just go back to the official JL2 rom release from Bell to fix this ?
I have same problem after I did that 3663 . Both buttons doesn't work anymore. To avoid to be again without my phone for 4 weeks on service I bought SGS remap buttons program and is working very well .
I remap power button to Back , Vol Dwn to Menu and Vol Up to Power.

Yeah, its sounds like an official ROM is the answer (JL2, or *gasp* an Eclair rom like JH2 or JM8!).

It's an application on the market "SGS Button Remapper" . It's working well on my SGS. It's not free ,but it's worth any penny out of 2 or 3$ paid .
Hi,
after switching between CM 12.1 and CM 13 and meanwhile going to Stock 4.2.2 my capacitive buttons have gone. Going back to Stock didn't change anything. Now I'm using On-Scree-Buttons. Hopefully it isn't a hardware problem. Is it possible that I affected this problem hardware-wise (for example: changing efs or something) without recognizing? Any solutions?
Thx.
