Capacitive buttons have gone! - Galaxy S5 Mini Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
after switching between CM 12.1 and CM 13 and meanwhile going to Stock 4.2.2 my capacitive buttons have gone. Going back to Stock didn't change anything. Now I'm using On-Scree-Buttons. Hopefully it isn't a hardware problem. Is it possible that I affected this problem hardware-wise (for example: changing efs or something) without recognizing? Any solutions?
Thx.

Home button not working

Hello,
It seems my back button on my SGS 1 is not working anymore.
I don't recall if it's not working after or before flashing Darky ROM 10.2.
I just have 3 questions:
1. Is there any possible way that it's software problem (didn't spill anything on my phone and it didn't fall too often or hard on the floor).
2. When I try to use TESTKEYS in CWM (advanced) it still does not bring me debug code (for example it brings up code for other buttons like back and options)
3. Is there anyone with similar problem on this forum?
Thanks.

[Q] Proximity sensor issue, after changing the sensors.aries.so all sensors are gone

Hi, this is my first post on this forum and unfortunately, I have a problem which I can't solve:
I have a classic problem with Proximity Sensor in my Galaxy S. My phone literally freezes for about 30 seconds when I answer a call or simply call someone; the same happens when I try to test the Proximity Sensor in Android Sensor Box app from Google Play.
I have gone through several ROMs (stock Gingerbread 2.3.6 + Value Pack; CM10, MIUI, SlimBean 3.1 and SlimBean 4.2) to find the one which suits my needs and fixes the problem; unfortunately, only on MIUI the sensor worked for a day (!), then the problem came back. (and I needed to get rid of MIUI, because it left me very little RAM for other apps than system )
OK, to cut the long story short, now I'm back with SlimBean 4.2; I found that what I need to do is to change the sensors.aries.so with the one attached by DerBobo ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=32809014&postcount=4406 ). And, well, it worked, until I rebooted my phone... then all sensors were gone. So I tried to put back the old (before swap, the one from SlimBean 4.2) sensors.aries.so and it didn't work either - the sensors are dead (BUT reflashing brings them back to life, with proximity sensor issue as well).
So, a question is: Am I doing something wrong?
Some technical details:
Android 4.2.1
Kernel: 3.0.61-Semaphore_JB_2.9.8s
OS: SlimBean 4.2.1 RC2
to change the sensors.aries.so I used Root Browser Lite -> changed the permissions for system partition and copied the file from sd card to \system\lib\hw.

Return and Menu keys stopped working

Good day folks
My problem:
My Galaxy S3 LTE's back and menu keys have suddenly stopped working/lighting up.
Currently I'm trialing the "PAC-MAN 4.4 RC1" ROM, so I'm alternating between the stock ROM (backed up by CWM) which is 4.1.2 (for the purpose of comparison)
In both ROMs the buttons are dead.
I have tried a million solutions out there to no avail.
I'm using the on-screen soft keys by editing the build.prop file for the moment but I really want my hardware keys back.
I started to think of flashing a new kernel in the hope that would fix the problem. However I'm not sure which kernel to choose to be compatible with both ROMs that I'm using!
Can anyone please point me the right direction?
Current Kernel: 3.0.31-633241
Build number: JZO54K.I9305XXBLL3
Many many thanks in advance.
With both roms you have same problem?
Last resort is to flash full rom downloaded from sammobile/live updates samsung (search one of these in google) and flash it through odin (tutorial may be find here on xda).
If that doesn't help - probably hardware side is broken :/

[Q] Hardware buttons not-working.

I think that when the phone is off the buttons are working, but when I restore even stock 2.2.1 they aren't working. Any ideas to fix this?

Capacitative button LED not working.. help.

Hi all,
Previously I remember disabling Capacitative button led in Kernel Aduitor, (I forgot which build, I was using one of SHADE's unofficial CM13 build).
Now after updating, however it seems like the option is no longer in Kernal Aduitor. The Button option under settings does not work and my LED remains off no matter how I set the brightness/timeout for Buttons LED.
Can anyone tell me how to ge tmy button led to work again? (I also tried flashing to stock miui8 but it did not work either). Perhaps can someone also point out a build that is available to download that might still have this setting in Kernel Aduitor so I can try to re-enable it. Thank you.
I think if you wipe everything and flash the latest MIUI rom through fastboot, it should resolve any problems you are facing because of earlier change in kernel settings.

Hi ishangoyal, I've tried everything, doesn't work
Does anyone have any idea on which rom/kernel that enables Kernel Aduitor to edit capicitative led settings? I just can't seem to find it anymore and am wondering is my capacitative leds are really dead.
@Harrynowl Hi Harry I notice you are programming a new kernel, can I request to add capacitative leds settings so that kernel aduiter can adjust it? Thanks for you help.
