I know most of you with think why would i want to increase the DPI of Galaxy note.. Lets just say a special person needs to use it and requires REALLY REALY LARGE fonts.. The largest possible hopefully.. is it possible to increase the DPI higher than 320? if so how?.. Most apps i found only limit to 320 DPI.. what is a safe DPI can i use higher than 320?.. I got it bumped up to 400, with the app LCD resolution.. However some apps like the dialer or sCalendar are un un useable because of the resolution, that could be solved by 3rd party apps, however, on major problem i am facing is the settings app gets FC.. Do you guys know any way to prevent this?.. if only there were 3rd party app alternative for settings.. what do you guys suggest?.. Is there a way around this like borrowing the settings apk from an SGSII or something.. any ideas?
I used Rom Toolbox and changed the DPI to 340 before and everything worked fine. Granted everything was big.

I tried Rom Toolbox aswell.. anything about 320 makes the settings application FC..
Settings > Display > Screen Display > Font size. Wont that help?

So lets get started. What are the "must have" apps that everybody is using on their MM MXPE? Whats working and what's broken?
Right now I am using:

Titanium Backup Pro
ES File Explorer
xPosed w/ GravityBox(Greenify module not yet activated)
Greenify
Root Booster
SD Booster
Uninstaller Pro
I'm probably missing one or two... I haven't installed BB from the free BusyBox Installer app as I haven't checked compatibility. I like Root Booster but I don't want to pay for the pro edition and while the simplicity is nice, the lack of fine grain control and any real explanation of what it is doing to achieve its promised gains is kind of a turn off. I wish there was a good, free, alternative that has an easy and intuitive interface that allows for not only one tap mods but further fine grain control. I know there are various options available but for some reason I see many people recommend Root Booster. Also, I swear xposed and/or GB are hitting my battery and I'm certainly not doing anything exotic with them. Anyway, What is everybody else using? What are your MM compatible must haves for the MXPE? Anything that takes advantage of some of our specific to MXPE features and the 6.0 iteration that we presently limited to? Share your list here!
Have to be careful using Greenify if you wish to enable all options (mainly hibernating system apps).. It causes unexpected restarts.

Naptime. It lets you activate doze when the screen turns off or you can set by amount of time, instead of the phone having to be flat and motionless for 30 minutes.

Google launcher is just overhyped,sure its fast but even old launchers from many years ago have more customization then Google now.
No I won't pay for xposed gel settings In order to be able to use for example custom icons lol...

I use Google now multiple times everyday. I use it for ease of access to Google now not for customization.

You know what's not overrated? The ignore list, and welcome to mine.
My list is:
Amplify, DriveDroid, ES File Explorer, Kernel Adiutor & Swipe Navigation Pro. I use Action Launcher 3 Pro for my Launcher and have quick access to Google Now, Google Now on Tap & Google Music Search via Swipe Navigation Home, Home Long Press and Back Long Press.

How did you get Naptime working? My settings never stick. I even tried Doze Settings Editor but it doesn't stick either. Actually, it doesn't seem to change the values at all.

I loved this setting on my nexus 7
With the app "Root DPI Changer" I set it to 270 dpi.
Much better, since it's near the physical dpi (264). The original dpi make all a bit big.
The camera app won't work properly with the altered dpi (and chances are there are some more apps which don't like it); but with the Xposed module "App settings" you can set apps which make problems back to the original dpi.

I changed the dpi in build.prop recently, but only now that I realize that the camera stopped recording . When put to record , advancing to one second it gives force close . What can it be?
I am using the rom marshmallow
you can check the logcat for what errors occur when you get the force close
there are xposed modules for changing the dpi per app, have you tried setting the dpi back to normal for the camera app only?
First of all, I'd like to mention that my phone is rooted with supersu. The only reason I rooted was to check out a dpi changer app that could help with gaming performance. But I'm still facing lag and my phone is heating when I play games for 15+ mins (I've tried Le DPI changer app).
I followed this thread: https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/K-and-Vibe-Z-Series-Smartphones/K3-Note-Gaming-performance/td-p/2124793 which suggested two methods - Disabling cpu throttling and get root and change dpi. I decided to go with the safer second method, which is not working well so far.
So, is there any way to improve gaming performance on my phone? Maybe another dpi changer app? I have Screen shift and Le DPI changer app installed. I'd love to hear your suggestions.
