Xposed Framework Issues - T-Mobile Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have tried to install modules from xposed on my tmobile Samsung galaxy note 4 and it has twice got stuck on the tmobile screen while rebooting. Is this a known issue and is there a workaround? I was using the Wanam (sp?) module and I think the protected apps module. Thanks!

I've given up for now on using Xposed on the Note 4. I've had lag and apps force closing with Xposed installed. I'm not aware of any fix, but it did seem to run well on the Firekat ROM when I was on NJ7.

Did either of you install xsecurestorage immediately after installing xposed to eliminate secure storage hangs?
Sent from my SM-P900 using Tapatalk

Didn't try that, just did the other secure storage fixes in Wanam and build.prop. Does that work better?

Only one way to find out. I did not apply any of the others, I went straight to that module first and then to wanam.

Xposed Framework Help

I'm having trouble getting xposed framework to install on the Rom 'Renovate' rev 6. I've updated my su binaries and when I try to install xposed everything works fine until I reboot. Then the app_process gets removed... The Rom clearly states it suppports xposed and even has an option for it in the aroma installer. What am I doing wrong here?

You can't flash on this phone but you can use Safestrap to fake flash. There is a huge thread on it in the development section for this phone.
Which thread I wasn't able to find it

Even works on new updated firmware At&t pushed out.
N900AUCUBMJ5
Kingo is updated http://www.kingoapp.com/. They have more updates coming.
Lot of people now trust this method and It is one of the only ways to root right now.
I am using this method and have been since it came out.
11/26/13 On a warranty replacement with latest Kingo Root and firmware.
No problems what so ever, phone is perfect so far.
This method is so much faster and works perfectly.
Confirmed and working great on AT&T Note 3.
Does not trip the knox counter.
(It does show Custom Status but you can change it)
No factory reset, and no wiping data !!!!!!
One Click and your done.
SUPERSU
After that you can install XposedInstaller and WANAM.
There are some kool things you can do with that.
For one > Make it show Official Status instead of Custom.
My phone is sicker now !!!!!!! SWEET
Wanam Xposed
I have rooted my SM-N900A with Kingo root. I installed Exposed. And I have installed the Wanam module for Xposed. Under Security hacks, I have checked Fake system status. However, on reboot, it still says custom. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? Or what else I might need to do?
Make sure Wanam exposed is checked off inside of xposed installer under the modules section that will fix your problem if not try updating installer then will work "you do know you need installer correct

Yes. I installed it first. Downloaded .apk from XDA. Then downloaded Wanam from Play store. I checked the wanam module in Xposed. Rebooted. Still said custom. Went in and unchecked Fake system status. Rebooted. Checked Fake system status. Rebooted. Still shows custom. Should I uninstall wanam module, reinstall, and check it in xposed before trying to make any changes? Thank you for your help.
I'm trying to think what I did but how I explained in post I swear worked for me cuz I had same problem sorry can't be more of assistance

Not a problem. You did help. You told me about activating the module in Xposed. But I did fix it. I uninstalled wanam, downloaded and installed from the play store again. Then I checked it in Xposed, opened wanam, checked fake status and rebooted. It works now. Thank you for your help.
Glad you got it working

Best bet would be upgrade your super user to pro and tell it to attempt to hang onto root when upgrading.

From what I heard 4.4 is several months away for AT&T users. AT&T is usually about 6 months behind the initial release of an Android version.
As for the root, King can be uninstalled simply bu going into settings for Super User. Once uninstalled the phone is returned to non-root stock. Then you can run the OTA once it comes. After the update, re-rooting will be the big question. Will Kingo still work? Who knows. Maybe AT&T will lock us down even tighter with that release.

[Q] Has anyone attempted to DEODEX???

Has anyone attempted to deodex there stock rom for the g flex??? i just wanted to know if its possible without a boot-loader and recovery. i found multiple links that show its possible and i see one that is pretty easy by using titanium backup. so what do you all think any opinion or suggestion are greatly appreciated.

I've done it. The problem is without a recovery we can't just flash this. You could try the titanium method since it would be done right in the phone or if you're in T-Mobile you could adb push my version that I linked

thanks for your response i might take a hit at it
I have the paid version of "Android Tuner" and it has an option to deodex ROM so even with out a custom recovery I did it any way. It worked. I'm deodexed. But I don't honestly see the benefits of it. Since odexed ROMs split the apk into two parts so that only the portion needed to boot with the phone boots, an odexed ROM actually has a faster boot time and from everything I've read can actually perform faster/snappier.

Android tuner will deodex the entire Rom? Interesting man. I've got the app but I'm wondering what if any benefit I'd get outta the deodex-ing, without custom Roms, recovery, etc that might make more use of the tweak.

i just wanted to see if it was possible without a recovery. i tried the titanium backup method bit it seems that i need the pro version. but android tuner sounds interesting. i might go that route did you have any type of FC or glitches? also i heard deox is great for theming

That's the main reason to deodex it makes any mod or theme much easier to create and they say it saves space in the system partition as well
Sent from my LG-D959 using Tapatalk
No I'm not getting any FC's or anything. Runs just as smooth as before. An I'm not sure if ANDROID TUNER has the option in the free version. The paid version is around $8. Def worth it. I use it. To gain entropy a man he read/write cache processor temp. Startup manager and has a huge selection of tweaks to. But the option is under system manager/one clicks then its the top button. (De)odex. Pretty cool app even has an xposed module.

How stable is Xposed on the GS5?

I just rooted with Towel root and did all the goodies (debloated, etc). I'd like to use Xposed for Gravity box or Wanam. I noticed some threads are complaints about the phone acting up after installing the framework, others say it's module associated.
Curious to how stable the framework is. Is anyone experiencing anything without running any modules, or with Wanam/Gravitybox?

Depends on what you want, I did the Xposed and Wanam, but lost private mode and S health. They worked fine but I do use the S health, so waiting to see if someone can get them all playing well together.
I have no issues with anything. Bloat gone and Knox disabled. I didn't buy the S5 for all of Samsung's gimmicky features, so I don't care if they're there or not.

this is what you do to get s health to work:
Make sure the Xposed isn’t installed.
We need to change build.prop file inside the system partition, you can also get it done manually by using a file manager app or get a build prop editor on play store.
Once you find the build.prop file, look for the “ro.securestorage.support=true” line.
Now change the line to “ro.securestorage.support=false”.
Install the Xposed framework again.
The final step is wiping S Health app data, head to System -> App Manager -> ALL -> S Health then wipes the data. Now your Galaxy S5 should be able to runs Xposed framework and S Health simultaneously without any problems.

I tried this, but I could never get s health to work again even with Xposed uninstalled. I have gone back to unrooted stock for now.
All is good using Wannam, Exposed G-Touchwiz and RootCloak!
Just remember to enable the modules after you install and reboot to insure they're active.
