Whenever a notification arrives, my task bar (bar at the top) disappears and stays like that until I restart my kindle. After it disappears it tends to reappear for split seconds every now and then. Does anyone know how to Fix this? In the mean time I have turned off all notifications.

I have the same problem, my problem is down to gmail. It only happened whenever I have a gmail notification.
When this happen, open gmail and the task bar will appear again
I've noticed that the notification symbols disappear if you pull the drawer down, and push it back up without interacting with a notice.
It's frustrating as I want the notification to remain until "I" decide to action it.
Has anybody else noticed the same?
there's a setting
under personalization
untick clear viewed notifications.
Hi all z3c user,
I have a question about the icon on the notification bar. I have installed a newspaper app, if there are some news to alert me, it will pop up an icon and have a notification message in the notification panel.
If there are a first alert but I still not clear it, then if the second alert received, the icon in notification bar has only one, and the notification panel will have two messages until I clear it, then they will gone.
The problem is, the same app, installed other than SONY device, e.g. LG/Samsung, they will have one icon for one message, that means they will have 2 same icon when they received two alerts, but I found that SONY ROM will group the icon into one, so that I need to pull down the notification panel to see how many alert received.
Anyone know how to "ungroup" the icon? Thanks.
By the way, not only this app, some football score apps have the same problem.
no one have idea?
It's a SystemUI thing, meaning it's hardcoded. Sony made it this way, other vendors are doing it the other way. Some custom ROMs have the ability to toggle this behaviour, but on stock there's nothing to do. IMHO, grouping is better because it doesn't waste so much space on the notification bar for same types of notifications. If I get 1 email, I really don't mind knowing there's actually 5 at the first glance, but I'll see that immediately when I pull down the notification bar anyway.

Thanks for your reply. But do you know is it able to change some settings or parameters in systemui.apk?
Every time I get a text message and go to the app to respond then leave the app as I normally do, the new text message icon will stay there until I either open the notification blind or lock the phone. Is anyone else having this? I'm not sure how to get rid of it. I tried clearing the cache for the messaging app and also toggling notification permissions.
My notification dots are frozen, it tells me I have a notification for Facebook, Twitch and when I open the app they don't seem to clear, I shouldn't even be getting notifications because they're dismissed through the drop down when I get them. Happened in the last few hours. Anyone else having the same issue?
I haven't experienced your problem. I'm assuming by notification dots you mean App Badges that show the unread/unresponded to count. These typically go away when you tap the icon in the notification panel to view the event or swipe the notification away in the notification panel. If you're doing one or both of these actions and the count remains try disabling the App Badges for the affected apps and then enabling them again.
Settings>Apps>locate the affected apps>Notifications>App Badges, toggle it off, then back out and then go back in and toggle it on if you still wish to view them.
In another instance where I saw something like this happening the user also tried clearing the cache and app data, but didn't achieve success until they uninstalled the app and installed it again. That wouldn't work for Facebook however because it is a pre-installed app and therefore cannot be uninstalled but it can be disabled. That could be enough if the above method doesn't work for you.
