I am new to android and wondering how likely do you think AT&T will get the 64gb version? 32gb is not enough for me and I am willing to wait for the 64gb version but if it is not coming I will get the note 4. Thanks!
I can all but guarantee it's not happening. I asked my normal AT&T rep and he said Google is keeping the 64gb as a PlayStore exclusive.
Now take what he says with a grain of salt, but it makes sense. If they did get it it won't be for months. Look at any other phone (M8) that initially launches. Usually only one option and then down the road other colors and models crop up.

Thanks. I think t-Mobile has the 64gb version. How long did ATT take to get more options for the M8

No idea, I was with Verizon forever. Just think from a marketing perceptive. I bet it's available first of the year or Q1 sometime. I highly doubt before then.
It's doubtful that Att will ever get the 64gb one. If you wanted to finance it you could but it directly from moto using that. Alternatively you can buy it outright through them, t mobile or the play store.
Historically has att released more options of a phone later on?

I've been calling every AT&T store in my area for the past week, none of them will have the X on display until tomorrow. Another tidbit of info- apparently only the 16gb version will be available in store at launch, with the 32gb being online only. Kind of a bummer, was really hoping to get my hands on one tomorrow. Gonna have to order it now.

16GB = $579
32GB = $630
32GB is only available through motomaker customization. In-store only the 16GB Black and White units will be available. If you would like to customize, you can walk into an AT&T store and get a SKU card, pay for the phone in full, go online on motomaker and checkout with your customized phone at no extra charge. It will arrive in 4 days.

i believe you can also go straight to motomaker.com and buy outright without having to go to AT&T first.

Thats right, but that ability will not be available starting tomorrow. I have been told by a motorola source that AT&T wants people to come inside the stores and experience the motoX, and as a result, will only give out the customization ability via a SKU card, which you can purchase for the price of the phone ($199/249 or $579/630, whichever method you'd like) and then go on to motomaker.com
However, it wouldn't surprise me if motomaker.com started accepting orders tomorrow without the need for a SKU card. Will just have to wait it out and see.

Yes I know exactly how it's going to work. I was hoping to get a look in store today, before the phone goes on sale. So that I can just order online whenever convenient. But no AT&T store has it on display yet. No biggiee.

I've been waiting for the Nexus 6 carrier-free to come to BestBuy. At this time only the Sprint and AT&T Nexus 6 are available in the store. I can't buy a carrier one because I have to take the phone abroad for someone else.
Any idea when the carrier-free Nexus 6 will come to BestBuy? Or any other suggestions of where I could buy the carrier-free Nexus 6?
Motorola.com
I doubt we'll see an unbranded Nexus 6 at Best Buy.

Get it from Google Play Store or Motorola.
If you get it from a carrier such as T-Mobile (you have to look it up yourself) their phone is not locked to T-Mobile. You will however have to pay off remaining EIP balance or pay for the device outright and have at least 1 month of service.
Sprint Nexus 6 should be SIM unlocked and can be used wherever.
Yup, the only variant that is SIM locked is AT&T's. I would have bought the Sprint version from BBuy, but they want $699 for the 32gb. I don't think so.
I recommend giving swappa a serious look. 32gb blue N6's are going for 700 flat all the time (with shipping included). Consider if you got "lucky" enough to buy one from Google Play or Moto. You'd need to pay $649 plus tax and shipping. That will easily put you above $700. And then you'd need to wait weeks in order for the phone to leave the warehouse.
I lucked up and talked a seller down to $710 shipped for a 32gb white. I say I got a great deal.

Would BestBuy match the GPS price? Or even the Sprint.com price which lists it at $648?

Oh well. I would've chosen Google Play or Motorola.com but I haven't been lucky enough to be able to order from them.
Another question, if I buy the unlocked Sprint Nexus 6, will it be exactly the same as the unbranded Nexus 6? Or will there be bloatware or something like a sprint logo on it? And also will it work outside the USA?

No Sprint logo. "Bloatware" would be determined based on the SIM card.
Work outside of USA..... find that yourself with the bands in your country to the Americas model.
So the Sprint Nexus 6 will be almost exactly like the unbranded one but just $50 above the normal price?
And if I get the Sprint one can I just take it abroad or will I have to use Sprint services for a certain period of time?

It will be exactly the same, but yes more expensive. The only one that is any different is one from AT&T, but even that is essentially the same phone (model number-wise). If you are buying it for outside the US, why not look into the International variant? Or has it not released where you want it yet?

Verify that the bands will work in China or have the signals that he wants to utilize.
For sprint I'm not sure, ask their customer service as they'll give you a answer. You'll have to buy the phone outright of course.

This is probably completely off-topic, but I just spent a frustrating amount of time with someone from sales from Motorola. The person says it is a problem with my browser and I want to know if someone else can confirm this.
Recently I purchased the Moto X 2014 for my spouse. 64GB Pure Edition. No problems. Everything works fine.
Go to purchase one for myself today. Have some free time and use my work iPhone to look up the price while waiting at a job site. Pick all my options, select 64GB option, phone shows up as $499 (which is what I expected).
Go home, try to do the same thing, however, the same phone, same options, 64GB of storage will only go in my cart at $599.
The base model starts at $399 and the Motorola website clearly states that it is $100 more for the 64GB option.
The sales rep insists the correct price is $599. What gives? Is there something wrong with my browser is the sales rep wrong?
Thanks.

Trying to select the Pure Edition model. That one doesn't require you to select a carrier (but it will be used on T-Mobile).
Its definitely 599. i remember trying it before. 64gb is only for the pure and its 599. 399 is for the republic wireless one, its tricky advertising in my opinion. They pick the cheap carrier by default but as soon as you change it to any other one it goes up. The pure edition starts at 499, 32gb is like 549 and 64gb is 599. At least last I checked. Try different browsers and selecting different carrier/storage options. I don't know how you got it to show 499... it jumps straight to 599 for me as soon as I select 64gb.
Some one is selling new Nexus 6 with 64GB in blue for $545. This seems like a good deal. The model number seems to be XT1103. Here is a link to the listing.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Brand-New-S...e-/131500686305?ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:US:1123
I sent a question to the seller asking if this phone will run on Verizon. He replied that the phone only works on GSM networks like ATT or T-Mobile. Can I buy this phone and activate it on Vz? I am fine if the phone shows up as "Unknown." I just want to make sure I can get 3G/CDMA and 4G/LTE on Verizon.
Based on reading a bunch of posts, it seems like I can get this to work, but would like some confirmation by the XDA experts.
thanks,

There are several extensive threads on this topic, including one titled FCC and Verizon.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3069915
To summarize, you will have the following difficulties:
1. Hard to activate a new SIM. You can eventually get past this.
2. If this phone is on your account's primary line you will not be able to make plan changes online (not through the mobile app and not through the website either).
3. If you are on a More Everything plan and eligible for the out-of-contract discount (which you must be if you're considering paying full price for a phone) you will lose the discount, meaning you will pay $300/year more.
So if you're on More Everything I strongly recommend buying a Verizon branded N6 or switching carriers.

I only want the 64 GB version which Verizon is not offering.
My work pays for my phone service. I have to buy the device.
I really want the M9 due to the smaller size, but it seems that I can't run GPE on the Vz M9 which is why I am looking at the N6. Folks with the 6" screens tell me that I will get used to the larger phone.

I see. Other than the issues I listed it should work well. A few people have complained about voicemail and HD Voice but ultimately those features do seem to work fine and I've had no issues with them.

Ah work pays! Now it all makes sense! [emoji14]
I came from a tiny Galaxy S3 screen and I was worried the N6 would be too big. It took about... five minutes and I would not go back to the tiny screens again.
Edit: BTW if you are on a "business plan" (where your work is the account administrator) you may have to jump through additional hoops to get VoLTE enabled but it is possible. Search these forums and lemme know if you have trouble finding the thread. Actually that may be true for all N6s not just Moto/GPE-purchased devices, not sure.
Hello I was thinking about getting a Pixel device to replace 2 phones I currently carry. Was wondering if a dual SIM config would work well with these 2 carriers, and whether it's better or easier to put Verizon or T-Mobile on the eSIM?
Also is it possible to use data simultaneously from both, I've read conflicting reports?

Verizon is pretty easy although you might need to call for a scan code. But that takes all of 5 minutes. Not sure about TM but I heard it was just as easy. I've been doing this for a couple of years now, first with Fi and Verizon (physical sim) and then I got rid of Fi and went with both lines on Verizon. One on the eSim and the other physical sim.
You need to select one sim for data. You can change it rather easily in network settings. Calls and text can default to one or select each time which I find to be a pain. Depends on your situation though.
@DrWowe Just a little update. The Pixel 5 is out of stock at the Google store and probably won't be coming back. That leaves Amazon or other 3rd party sellers. With that in mind be careful about which version you buy meaning it needs to be carrier unlocked. If you are thinking of rooting you need to be doubly careful. Or.. you can wait for the P6 and buy directly from Google. Whichever you choose good luck.
Fair enough. I'm assuming the eSim configurations will be similar on the 5a or 6, I haven't decided which one to buy yet. I guess it won't be a 5 after since it's discontinued and I only want to buy unlocked from the manufacturer.

I'd find a BNIB Pixel 5. No way I could justify paying for the Pixel 5a. If you think the 6 wont be too large for you, I'd get that.

We are really in a bind here if you want a smaller device. On Swappa there are zero P5 new or mint for sale. Even very limited stock at Amazon and you'd have to have your head examined to buy off Ebay. There are none available there either that are US versions unlocked. These are becoming a collectors item and as such will probably go for a pretty penny if we can keep them in decent condition. The only premium device I can find under 6.3" is the iPhone 13 at 6.1. This is not good.
