[Q] CyanogenMod for AT&T Galaxy S5? - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 5

I read somewhere that you aren't able to flash the CyanogenMod Rom onto the AT&T Galaxy S5 because of the locked bootloader, is this correct? Also, does anyone know of any way around this? Why can't you just flash CyanogenMod with Safestrap?

we can only flash touchwiz roms with safestrap. if and when the bootloader gets unlocked only then can we flash custom kernals, and aosp/aokp roms and CM.

[Q] Regular Galaxy s6 roms on ATT variant?

I was just curious if I do root my phone with the ping pong root that just came out. Would I be able to flash any galaxy s6 rom or do they have to be specific to the variant I have?
No, not until someone clever can unlock our bootloaders so we can utilize the necessary custom recovery, twrp or clockwork mod.

Where are the roms for the sm-g730w8

like the title says. i cant find any roms specifically for the sm-g730w8 version (at&t) of the galaxy s3 mini. i see I8190 and golden but not the sm-g730w8. what roms can i flash for this device? will the ones that says golden work for this device model? im already rooted but no recovery because the recovery version is golden and not the one specific for my phone.
Bump
I also cannot locate any custom rom for G730w8. Had some use for this old phone but need a custom rom. Anyone?
Got it rooted and unlocked... but can't find a suitable TWRP or CWM recovery.
Sorry I know this is a reaaally old phone...

Currently there are some roms for the g730a varient that should work on yours, there is also safestrap for the g730a and g730v(basically twrp but it may not work on g730w8). You could also use flashfire. I did make a debloated stock rom and a port of tencent os but both of them are fairly buggy so I would just recommend staying on stock with root unless you want to make your own rom.

Is it impossible to flash an AOSP rom on a rooted AT&T S5 Active?

Hello!
I've done some reading and having not gotten a satisfactory answer I thought I'd throw my question out to the community.
I'm currently running Twisted Lollipop v7.
I can Odin back to stock 4.4.2 whenever and redo towelroot and install safestrap etc.
I've been unsuccessful at flashing an AOSP rom and wanted to confirm once and for all if it is truly impossible to flash Blisspop or Cyanogenmod or Sonic or any of those I enjoyed on my trusty old S3 onto my unlocked At&T S5 Active.
If it is not possible I will get rid of this unlocked AT&T S5 active and get a used what? The T-mobile variant? The international variant? I just want to be able to flash whatever the hell I want without too much hassle! I do like the phone other than that though!
Looking forward to any advice!
Thanks!

No you can not flash any AOSP roms on a device that runs safestrap, the bootloader isnt unlocked so you cant install a custom recovery the closest thing to a recovery is safestrap, and with a locked bootloader you can not install kernels which is why you cant install AOSP based roms.

Thank you for your response!
Blues! It's what I suspected. I intend to offload this phone as a result and get another. Which variant would you recommend I get so I can flash happily and not worry about a locked bootloader? The SM-G900F, or what else would you recommend?
Thanks for your help!

Any phone that has a carrier would be locked for the most part, i know sprint and maybe t-mobile usually don't lock there bootloaders, but that doesn't mean anything they could still be locked down. Your best bet if your looking to get a new phone for whatever reason stick with the ones straight from samsung the international versions. they usually don't have locked bootloaders.

Flashing a custom rom

So, I got a Galaxy s5 AT&t (G900A), and i want it deodexed, but since theres no custom recovery for it i wanted to flash a rom like twi5ted lolipop, would this be possible with a locked bootloader still?
Edit: By the way im on 5.0 lollipop
No. If you can't root you can't flash.

Question Question about flashing stock rom

Can I reflash back the stock rom even if the bootloader is locked?
I ask because I know it's possible with my Samsung Galaxy S6. Not sure about Xiaomi phones.
You have to unlock bootloader first to flash stock rom or any custom rom.
