[Q] Regular Galaxy s6 roms on ATT variant? - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S6

I was just curious if I do root my phone with the ping pong root that just came out. Would I be able to flash any galaxy s6 rom or do they have to be specific to the variant I have?

No, not until someone clever can unlock our bootloaders so we can utilize the necessary custom recovery, twrp or clockwork mod.

[Q] CyanogenMod for AT&T Galaxy S5?

I read somewhere that you aren't able to flash the CyanogenMod Rom onto the AT&T Galaxy S5 because of the locked bootloader, is this correct? Also, does anyone know of any way around this? Why can't you just flash CyanogenMod with Safestrap?
we can only flash touchwiz roms with safestrap. if and when the bootloader gets unlocked only then can we flash custom kernals, and aosp/aokp roms and CM.

Flashing a custom rom

So, I got a Galaxy s5 AT&t (G900A), and i want it deodexed, but since theres no custom recovery for it i wanted to flash a rom like twi5ted lolipop, would this be possible with a locked bootloader still?
Edit: By the way im on 5.0 lollipop
No. If you can't root you can't flash.

Can you install T-Mobile RUU on Sprint Galaxy S6

Wondering can I flash my Sprint Galaxy S6 with T-mobile RUU? If so how?
Thanks
Short answer: No. You cannot flash any Odin image to a device; it must be specific to that phone. Doing so will likely cause a brick.
That being said, you CAN flash (via recovery ONLY!) any ROM, but your particular version of device may need some extra steps to make everything function properly.

Is there full bootloader unlock/root available for the ATT S6?

This is one of two phones I'm looking to buy after work today to replace the Verizon S5 I broke last night. Wanting to make sure whatever I get can be bootloader unlocked and fully rooted, otherwise I'm just getting another S5 so I can continue using CM ROM.
Thanks!
i think yes following this steps
1-root it using pinpong root
2-unlock the boot loader using ADB on pc
3-install twrp
4-install SU
watch the video it did it with a note 4

No.
No bootloader unlock at all.
Therefore no non stock based custom roms.
Root is available via ping-pong on very early lollipop builds, but unless you specifically know you are getting an old, non updated device, it's not likely this will be an option. Some newer builds of lollipop can be rooted by a tethered method. There is a root method for some MM builds. Think one is under development that has yet to be confirmed or released for N.
Very strongly do not recommend ATT version of this device if rooting and custom ROM's are important to you.
If you're looking at an international, rather than att model, then you're in the wrong forum.

Android 9.0 for samsung S6 active

Is there any option that someone working on that?
I love this phone - I got it for about one month
Maybe Samsung? You cannot install custom firmware to this phone.
Dear @mulp, I am very sorry to tell you this but the Samsung Galaxy S6 Active cannot be upgraded past Android 7.0.1 Nougat, you cannot upgrade it using a Custom ROM such as CyanogenMod or Lineage OS. The reason is because the Active is an AT&T exclusive phone and as such, the bootloader cannot be unlocked. Even as of now (2018), no developer has been able to exploit and hack the locked down bootloader. If you try and exploit the bootloader by flashing TWRP, your KNOX counter can be triggered to 0x1 (believe me, I tried, I failed). The only way to root the device is to flash a combination file but even though, you cannot flash a custom ROM. Sorry about that, but that is AT&T for you.
