There are several apps that I've disabled but they keep re enabling themselves: Google foreign inputs, Moto Camera and Gallery. Others like Spotlight, Help, and Migrate have stayed disabled.
It might be tied to rebooting but it doesn't seem consistent.
Any ideas?

Hi everyone! Do you use Avast Anti-Theft? ...
I have a problem and I'd like to check for possible reasons. Please help me!
I hope someone can send me the apk for Motorola Services (com.motorola.blur.service.blur.apk),
in a list of stock Razr i system apks the one for Motorola Services is called CCE.apk. (for stock Razr i ICS)
I think I need that app cause since it's gone Avast Anti Theft commands sent from the Avast site are not working,
the phone doesn't receive the commands. Sms commands sent to the phone do work.
I wanted to freeze these apps but forgot it and uninstalled them :/ These: (com.motorola.)atcmdlauncher.apk,
atcmdplugin.epu.apk, atcmdplugin.apk, atcmd.apk, atCommandService, AtProxy, BrowserMessage,
omadrm.apk, modempanicreporter.apk, meter.wisl.apk, smspush, DeviceStatistics, ModemStats,
OMAclienteprovisioning, OMAdownload, and others different other days.
Do you think this problem can be because of the lack of some of those apps?
If so, although I can't be exact, the last location hour reported in the avast anti theft maps is near the time I was
playing with my device. Which one can be the problem? Although, as of now with 5 days with this problem the location,
batery state and some configuration changes have been updated some times, but the Commands [still] don't work.
Everything else is working fine (wifi, 3G, Play Store, G+, online Gameloft games, maps, browser, etc).
And what is weird is that backups for all those apps are not working. The one for Motorola Services
shows only some kb of size (unusable). And other bad thing is that even if I restore the other missing apps they don't stick
and don't work, they're gone after reboot. :/ How to restore them?
I hope you guys can help me get back those apps so I can see if that's the problem.
Another reason can be: I was annoyed by the several Google Services (Google Play Services app) processes
running all the time. So I used ROM Toolbox's Advanced Freeze feature and unchecked to disable some of them.
It was all good for some days ("got rid" of them) untill I noticed my location in the Anti-theft maps wasn't updating... it all begun.
I had disabled Google Cloud Messaging (GCM.service) without knowing it (+ others) u.u But, I really think everything
else was working fine, though (even with GCM disabled o,o).
I noticed this because Avast site reported something like "GCM service is disabled in your device. Communication is not possible.
You'll be notified when it's back" when I tried to send commands. So I restored all of those processes to normal state.
Like 2 days after that Avast reported GCM was online again. I thought everything was Ok now, but no! Still the problem persists.
What I don't know if it's a problem caused by me or it's a default state is: When I check out Google Play Services in the running
processes view of ROM Toolbox app, then enter the Advanced Freeze view, the receivers "icing.impl.PowerConnectedReceiver"
and "mdm.ConnectivityReceiver" are disabled. I check their boxes to enable them, but after rebooting they are disabled again.
I'd like you guys check what is the state of these receivers in your Razr i, please. So I can know
To finish up, I, also, recommend Avast antivirus, if wanted it can be uninstalled after its Anti Theft feature is installed. I don't know how
hack proof it can be, but it can be very, very useful, specially because of the several remote commands it has. Try it n.n
I'm going to purchase the premium service after I get this problem solved. I have already sent my help
request to Avast on saturday. I'm waiting working days to get a reply.
Thanks for your kind help!

Solved!
Problem solved!
The problem was my router's firewall, it was miss-behaving. Ha
I disabled the Firewall and the device started to receive the web commans again n.n
I'm glad to know those System apps I deleted are not needed at all in the end. (But GCM (a.k.a. C2DM) do is needed for several tasks, of course)
Thanks for reading!

I've been trying to get the GAPPs off my Z3C one by one. I root the phone, I start removing GAPPS, eventually I remove something that causes a bootloop and I have to restore the system partition and start trying again. Is there any existing ROM for Z3C which is the basic Sony ROM (as in the camera works, etc) but without GAPPS?
Thanks!
I'd also like to know this, without reinstalling or risk of bootloops if possible.
Would actually like to use features of the phone without google calling back home with timestamped records of every network ever connected on, every app used and apps calling back through gapps api so google can squirrel away location and wifi memory to your google identity forever. Maps would be useful.

You can disable a lot of this stuff (assuming you have root) using AFWall+ and in the Apps Manager settings, I leave google play services disabled. This mostly works. Where I'm having an issue is that I'd like to install micro gms core https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/app-microg-gmscore-floss-play-services-t3217616 as a replacement for some of these things, but to do that I need to get a clean rom without GAPPS.
Another big issue for me is that, like you, I don't really want Google continually phoning home and such. For me, battery life and simply controlling my own network activity is my main motivation. But anyway, I would be almost really happy to live with google play services simply disabled, and then re-enabling it every once in a while when it's useful (a lot like how I use location), but the issue is that if you try to disable google play services then you get "would you like to remove any updates and go back to the default"? If you click "yes", then reenabling that service means that you have to redownload the updates. I'd be equally happy to live with google play services if I could enable and disable them at will without having to reupdate/uninstall updates every cycle. As it stands, I just live with them disabled. Since I have them disabled, I'd love to go ahead and remove them and try a substitute, thus my question in the OP.
I've got lastpass installed and have chosen to use the accessibility option as I want it to fill the forms in chrome, however the option in accessibility keeps disabling on it's own.
Anyone know a solution?
Wish I did, having the same issue. Seems to only occur after a restart though. I normally switch it off at night and let the alarm switch it back on in the morning.
I changed the app launch settings to manual in the battery menu to fix this
Sent from my CLT-L09 using Tapatalk
I changed the setting in the battery menu to "manual" but it still keeps disabling several times a day. Does anyone know is there's a fix?
I have a Mate 10 Pro and I have usually been getting this issue after a Huawei software update.
Old thread I know, but the only solution that has always worked for me is the following.
1. Uninstall Lastpass
2. Restart your phone
3. Install Lastpass and enable all the functions you like, including draw over other apps, fill helper bubble etc.
The options at least for me stay enabled until the next update. Without doing the above steps, they will just get auto-disabled after a few seconds.
This question has probably been asked before but is there a way to remove "everything" Google related? I'm using stock rom. I have MetroPCS.
I know that by removing some Google apps will cause dependency issues but is there any way to do this with no problems whatsoever? Thanks

I have the Metropcs e5 plus and have disabled most Google services. Some apps throw up a notification saying they won't work unless Google play services is enabled, messages, contacts, etc. I've found they generally work fine just disable that notification. Make sure and remove the Google app from being and assist app in settings.
I used to have all Google stuff disabled but right now I'm using Gboard, maps (as a backup to here), the default messages apps and contacts. Mainly I've disabled the Google core spyware apps — play services, framework, search, store, etc.
Most bloat and garbage on this device can be disabled except for a couple Moto apps. I thought about rooting but really wouldn't be gaining much.
Need Magisk To work
Magic gapps works perfect on my moto e 5plus. I simply when not using an app that needs playstore running. I hit module off resart phone. Then go to an app disabler disable device health ,google playstore and google playservices. Everything else is systemlessly disabled. I get no annoying notifications except one on reboot. Also gboard works with all things google disabled. Hope my experience helps you out.
Hi all
I recently did a gentle swipe left on the "Screen Lock Data Usage" notification banner to reveal the settings behind that notification. On the settings screen I saw a bunch of processes and few of the processes are just labeled in numbers. I've unchecked all of those processes thinking that it is going to disable future "Screen Lock Data Usage" notifications.
Unfortunately majority of my apps stopped working after the change as they can't seem to get connected to mobile data.
However these apps can still get connected to the internet via wifi. So I wonder if there is anything I did wrongly that resulted to this situation.
I tried looking up various sites to search for ways to bring up that menu of items again, but to no avail.
Please help. Thank you for your advice.
Have you tried minimal YT? I use it. It's spot on for YouTube.
In regards to the maps? Just enable the services again mate.
