No Service(3g) SIM card is read by phone. - G 2014 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I goofed big time. Bricked my moto g yesterday trying to get myself lollipop. It was stuck in a bootloop of some sorts.
I came home after a long day, and quickly fixed it not really paying attention to what I was doing, everything worked fine, I could text use wifi, etc.
Woke up. Tired to install lollipop again, didn't even stop to think about a backup(got the phone yesterday) and now everything works... BUT my network... The phone reads that there is a SIM card, it just can't connect.
I had to revert back to "stock" following some post on here, can't remember exactly which, except it used mfastboot.exe.
Now I'm on 4.4.4 rooted with TWRP, and if it helps i have the xt1064 model.
I must say this phone has probably been thoroughly wiped in just two days
TL;DR Phone reads SIM card, wont connect to network, "no service" -- XT1064 rooted with TWRP -- 4.4.4
Edit: If I try to make a phone call it tells me to turn off airplane mode.
Edit: In about phone, I have a phone number and an IMEI number, but mobile network and mobile netowrk type are unknown and mobile network state is disconnected. Service state is radio off for voice and data.

It has been few days that I lost network connection (3g,+H....).
I see 3g crossed when I turn off data connection, but when I turn it on, nothing is happening..no internet connection, and no sign shown. I have dual sim Moto G. I have try factory reset and playing with aero mode, *#*#4636#*#* service code, nothing help me. Wifi working is good.

N1 randomly loses cellulur network and often requires reboot to get it back

My N1 randomly loses the cellular network and I see the triangle with the exclamation mark in the notification area.
I am not sure it's relevant but my N1 (a refurb from HTC) does have a dodgy SIM card slot since I need to stuff a piece of paper on top of the SIM card in order for it to be registered. Still once that's done and the back is on, there is no problem.
Anyway I will look down at the phone and see that I have lost the network. If I go to Mobile Networks/Network Operators I get an error "Error Registering on Network" or words to that effect.
The only solution is for me to either switch to Flight Mode, switch back to online mode and redo the search. The various networks usually then appear and I can choose my home carrier. A reboot of the phone also works.
This suggests to me that it has nothing to do with the SIM slot and it must be some other issues. I am running an unrooted phone on 2.3.4.
Any ideas appreciated.
Thanks
I'm not sure but I think it is probably related I would call htc and see if they can take a look at it cause for one they should not have given you a phone with a faulty sim card slot and it probably brought along some other problems.

Cell connection dead on my T-Mo HTC One

I've got a rooted HTC One on T-Mobile that has worked fine for a couple months. Last week I got a SIM card error a few times and the cell connection was lost until I rebooted, at which point the SIM card error went away and the cell connection (voice and data) worked again.
As of yesterday, my cell connection is not working at all, no bars of service. I do not have a SIM card error displaying in my status bar either. Everything looks fine, just no cell service. It's not a network problem; my wife's phone works fine.
I've tried checking my mobile data settings and pulling and re-inserting my SIM card, but the problem still exists.
Fortunately WiFi works fine so I can still make calls when I have a connection, but obviously this is not sustainable. So... What do I do?
I'm rooted but running the stock ROM. Would it be worth it to flash and wipe? Really seems like a hardware issue to me. Do I have to contact HTC directly about warranty repair/replacement? How long does that process take and is my being rooted going to cause an issue?
Sad

HELP Troubleshoot. Random/Reboot WIFI issues

Wifi not working with t-mobile sim? and I got unlock code and unlocked successfully.
WITH sim in, wifi will work, and mobile network works. THEN it reboots after a little while and the wifi stops working. and only mobile network works. When I try to turn on the wifi, it says its turning on, but doesn't.
I've cleared cache, factory reset in phone and recovery mode. Still same thing happens but ONLY when sim gets inserted it. Seems like it'll work for a little bit then the phone realizes somethings off and reboots, makes wifi not work but only mobile network.
I've taken out thes sim for now, and the wifi works beautifully. When I inputted the unlock code, I only inputted the network lock code I was given, there was other codes in the email also, am I suppose to input those as well? Could that be the cause why the software is out of wack?
firmware is on ogg 5.1.1 and for some reason I can't update the firmware, i'm guessing because its not a att sim?

S6 Active on T-Mobile roaming data not working

Wondering if anyone can help me out. I've already spent hours on the phone with tmobile and they can't seem to solve it.
I've had this problem ongoing since getting this phone. Basically I get no data roaming. Places Ive tried: Canada (several cities in BC as well as Quebec and Ontario), UAE, Bahamas. I spend a lot of time in Canada so its a real issue. Things I have tried:
- Factory reset
- Upgrade to 5.1.1 using Odin.
- Try sim card in friend's phone (4G works no problem in Canada)
- A bunch of other stuff I don't remember
Symptoms:
- About 50% of the time the phone works for calls and text
- The rest of the time it says "emergancy calls only". Restarting the phone immediately restores ability to make calls/send text. This happens regardless of signal strength.
- Data connection never works. Only time I got 4G was the very first time I entered canada with this phone. . Restarting the phone would make it connect to 4G for about 1-2 minutes before it would lose data connection. Restarting the phone would bring it back. After about half a day the phone completely lost ability to make data connection and has never been able to get data connection internationally since then.
- Sometimes I get this message: "you have lost data connectivity because you left your home network with data roaming turned off". Data roaming is definitely turned on. I've enabled in settings and also via #RON# short code.

This sounds like a config issue to me. the random drops to emergency seems to be issues with roaming not being set up right. It sounds like your APNs are not setup correctly or something. have you gotten any info from t-mobile on Roaming APNs? i'm not sure if it needs to be adjusted for roaming or not.

Yeh thats what it seemed like to me as well but I went over the APN settings with them on several occasions. I also looked them up online. Everything seems correct. The only thing they had me change was APN roaming protocol from IPv6 to IPv4/IPv6.
Dial *#*#4636#*#* (on stock dialer), in Device Information try to change network settings to LTE/WCDMA.
What are your APN settings? Provide info about all fields.
Did u ever solve this issue ? I'm having the same problem...

Samsung note 9 N9600 VZW network issue

Hi guys,
My toy is a samsung note N 9600 and its factory unlocked. Last week ported out from T-mobile to keep my original number and facing a wried issue.
The day I ported out from T-mobile, VZW network couldnt be recognized when I tried to activate the VZW sim card. "No network connection." and no call or text can be made. However, after I RESET my device to factory model, it SUCCESSFULLY recognized VZW and LTE function works well. Sounds wried? The story doesnt end here.
Yesterday after I turned off the VZW sim card by accident-- n9600 is a dual sim card which allows you to turn either sim card off-- the network connection lost again, im not talking about LTE connection, but all network service including internet, phone call and text function. Tried a lot to get the connection back but failed. Guess what? RESET, THEN VZW comes back!!! Being driven by curiosity, I turned off the sim card agian, and then, as my expect, no network connection. Ok, rest---works---turning off sim card---no connection---reset……
I am really annoyed by this and have no idea why it is. So if anyone of you have clue of it, plz let me know. Thank you in advance!
Teddy
No one experienced same issue before?
