Ordered mine already.
Isn't that basically a super-classy version of the pouch that comes in the box?
Yeas, but it is 'supper-classy' .
Better quality leather, with no outside seam - so fits really well without extra bulk.
Tooo each there own, tho i wouldnt shell out any money for just a pouch like that, im happy with the one i got
nice but........
........a bit too expensive. ill be sticking to the stock case.........
thats nice and all but i think the stock case does a fine job at scratches
i bought a white hibrid case from ebay just to try it....and guess what...dude is really nice....and was only 4 pounds. screen protector+hibrid case=powerfull shield.i love it

Ordered Black.
Will post photos when received.
Why waste money on a pouch case when the one that is supplied with the Leo is more than good enough?

Why do you need to decide for other people that the supplied case is "more than good enough"? Please let people judge for themself. If you don't see the point of something, please be quiet, no need to post your opinion in that case. Thx,bye.

I'm not deciding anything for anyone, if people wish to spend good money on another version of what they already own they're perfectly welcome. But this is a forum and posting opinion's is what they're about. I'm genuinely curious as to why someone would buy this.
I hope this helps but feel free to ask for an elaboration.

Do you really not understand the reason that people want a good quality leather pouch instead of a cheap looking fake leather pouche? I can't believe it! You have to be joking me!
Why do people buy any kind of luxury at all? Did you every think of that? Why do people buy a vase of 5000 euro when a vase of 2 euro functions the same: you can put flowers inside. Let me tell you something about life: People don't buy only for the reason that something is practical: people buy by emotion.

Bad example, I couldn't think of any reason to buy a vase full stop, never mind an expensive one.
As for the emotion side of things, I'm well aware of that. I can't see how that applies to a phone cover but each to their own.

The lesson for today : It applies on everything that people buy that has to do with luxury.
That's what I tried to explain and that is the reason that I took a extreme example of the €5.000 vase
But to be frank, emotion applies maybe even more then average when it comes to leather accessories. One of the biggest luxury icons at this moment is Louis Vuitton. They also produce leather accessories. Louis Vuitton made a revenue of almost €2.000.000.000 last year. I hope you get the point now.

My pda/pocket pc/smartphone has been my most used device and is one of few things I have always had on me for the past 8 years. Whatever device I have at the time holds a high value to me, so I have always spent the extra money for a nice leather case. It's kind of a fashion accessory along with protection for my most important device. I usually spend $50-$100 for a custom made Vaja, Noreve, or PielFrama case. It's the same as buying nice shoes or clothes... it's something that I wear, as it's usually attacked with a belt clip. Smartphones are the modern day pda and they hold a lot of value to people. People practically have their lives organized and stored on these devices. It's an accessory they always have on them, like shoes, clothes, jewelry, handbags, etc.
wow !!!, next you lot will be argueing over the price of leather handbags. as for the op's new case, too posh for me, i like the (free) cheap looking stock case.....
LV should produce nice pouches for our HD2s! lol
tbh, this Sena case really looks nice!
I currently have a pair of Nike Jordan shoes (red and black) and a pair of Converse All-Stars (black and white). Today I got like a whole bunch of jeans from Aeropostale and similar brands and I doubt the Jordans will look good with them, but I don't know about the Converse (any advice on that? ). So if I'm going to get new shoes to fit those type of pants, which should I get?
jeans ? think of terry bogard and use a north star
Thread title is misleading. Shoes are what you wear when you're not playing sports. They are the footwear that potential employers will judge you by. Other men will rate you by the shoe that your feet are clad in. Women will decide whether or not you are worthy of their adoration, or their contempt, by the shoe that you chose to wear on that particular occasion.
Nike is not a shoe. Nor is Converse, They are synthetic footwear for pre-pubescent kids, or sporting apparel for those who are destined for a lifetime of agonising knee pain. They are 'trainers' at best. Anybody wearing such a 'shoe' outside of a sporting arena has the same fashion sense as a man in a Saville Row suit, wearing white socks.
You will not get hired. Your peers will sneer at you. You will not get laid. At best, you will hired as an 'Extra' in any second-rate TV or Movie production as Hoodlum number 13, no doubt attired with a matching pair of baggy jeans with a crotch that hangs somewhere below your ankles.
Real shoes look equally as good with an Armani suit as they do with a pair of Armani jeans. Real shoes make you look like a man. Anything less and you look like a tasteless tosspot that was dressed by his mother.
That is all.

Yeah well I'm a teenager. I'm not trying to impress anybody. I'm not trying to get a job. I don't plan on moving around a lot with those types of shoes and risking getting them dirty and ugly. And I already have "real" shoes. And I really don't think those shoes would fit Aeropostale, Hollister, or Ecko apparel. Definitely not Ecko. I know how to dress properly for different occasions. I just don't want to spend too much time looking at "shoes" that I won't get or don't like. And the only reason I'm looking for shoes is because it's the only thing I can ask for, since my dad keeps asking me what I want for a present. I would gladly ask for nothing, but then I don't want to sound like an asshole to him.

Haha, I will be super geek no doubt. I think they can both connect to the phone at the same time. Will have to muster some confidence to wear them in public. I hear the Glass battery won't last long but didn't know if it killed the phone battery. Guess I will find this out in a few days.
I ordered my Glass yesterday. Its going to be delivered Tomorrow. My Glass is charcoal and my Gear is orange. I leave for Boot Camp in January so I don't have that much time with it. Guess i'll have to put them on a shelf for 15 weeks. Maybe I can make a promotional video for Google with the Army's permission. Would make an awesome first person commercial but I doubt that will happen.

Congrats on both accounts.... Proud Navy Dad here!
I ordered Shale (which is kind of a brown color). Status has changed to shipped so I think that means they will be here today. My kids are more excited than I am, and my 12 year old is already mocking me..
Anyway, I hear the notifications aren't great on glass right now, so I guess the Gear will continue to handle that, and I will do other stuff with glass.
On a different note, I've spent the last 3 weeks on the road and the Gear has become the perfect smartwatch. Turning it off at night I have been able to get 3-4 days on a charge so have left the charger behind on most trips.
Works fine. My phone battery is being smashed with all these Bluetooth gadgets!

I thought the price was pretty insane as well, until I got mine yesterday. Its unreal the technology they have created here and I'm sure the production QTY's are so low they really don't see any price breaks from the man. But I feel ya.

So my Glass came this morning and I've been wearing them all day. Very different than what I thought they would be. While the Gear and Pebble are pretty much notification machines, not so for Glass.
It's pretty interesting interacting with it and using some of the glassware.
I've already been through a mild headache and my eyes hurt.
So far the verdict is - I couldn't give up my Gear for anything day to day, while Glass may end up as more trouble than it's worth unless I'm travelling.
There is a lot of overlap between the two devices. I haven't done much with the camera on glass yet, and maybe that is the killer feature.
Yeah, glass won't be replacing my gear anytime soon

I got invite as well and I don't think I will drop 1500 for it. I just don't think it's worth it atm. Really want one though. If it's like $500 I don't even have to think about it.
Just gonna stay with gear for now.

You'd be one of less than 40k people in the world with one...
The killer feature of Glass is using voice actions for everything. Seeing the whole action build in front of your eye is pretty cool. Gotta think the Gear could get there too though.
I feel like there is much more utility to be had from the Gear (or Pebble for that matter) without the need to strap Glass to my face.
wow
wow you can actually buy a Glass now? that's pretty amazing. 1500 bucks though that is quite a price.
To be honest I think that you could do exactly the same functions with the gear as the Glass but then nobody would buy the glass so.. I'll just wait for a custom ROM for the gear. Heck i may even donate 15 bucks for itt haha.
Got my invite also but cost to high figured they would drop some by now. Sticking with the gear until price comes down on glass for sure.

What is that smell of a new phone, a new graphics card? A new piece of RAM? A new piece of technology? I have heard its called cyanogen and is highly deadly. But I want some form of soap or body spray that smells like that. Anyone know of any?

even a spray will be nice, i'll clean my whole house everyday just to spray that all over
so far i have found some spray made by aston martin that's meant to mimic the smell of a new aston, but thats was $300+ -.- and i guess meant for rich businessmen not some guy living off his keyboard
Rich businessmen would get an actual Aston. New car smell can't be bottled, that's a gimmick.
My xperia ray had for some reason coconut scent when i bought it. The phone is almost 4 years old and the battery inside still smells like coconut.
