[Q] Galaxy note showing Cortex A7 processor in quadrant

Quadrant is showing that processor is cortex A7 but it has to be A9.
Antutu is showing me same A7.
Can anybody check and confirm?
Same here. ARMv7 Processor rev1 (v7l)
But A7 supports upto 1.2Ghz
It has to be A9.
There is no cortex A7, its and ARMv7 CPU, all Cortex A chips are ARMv7.
Oh thanks for the clarification

And one more thing you dint noticed i guess, sometimes it shows only "Cores=1", that means Quadrant Standard is not ready for Note yet.

Not true anymore.
There's ARM 1-10
ARM11 (HTC TouchPRO, Google G1, iPhone 3G, Motorola CLIQ)
ARM Cortex A8 (Motorola DROID, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, Samsung Infuse 4G)
ARM Cortex A9 (Motorola Atrix, RIM PlayBook, iPhone 4S, Galaxy NOTE)
ARM Cortex A15 (the successor to the Cortex A9, provides double the performance at the same battery drain, and can even be clocked from the standard 1GHz upto 2GHz)
ARM Cortex A7 (the new Cortex A8 solution for cheaper or low-powered devices. Derived by using smaller nm components based on the Eagle architecture but underclocked for better battery savings)
...ARM's big.LITTLE Computing = 2xCortex A15 (2GHz) + 1xCorte A7 (1GHz)
= Quadruple the power of standard Cortex A9 SoC's quoted with the same battery life.

Will this have the S4

I haven't seen this confirmed anywhere. All the specs are general in terms of the processor. They only mention dual core snapdragon.
Yes it does I have one . Works great
Pro? Prime? what version?
Pro
i think its a pro version coz it has adreno 225 graphics i think prime has adreno 320 graphics( which is super fast)!!!
MSM8960 with Adreno 225 GPU
Snapdragon S4 Krait
1.5Ghz Dual-Core
This is the reason why we have a smaller battery. This chip consumes far less power than what is available. In some cases it beat the Quad core Tegra3. For the most part the Tegra3 was faster, but the S4 is a pretty fast chip. 28nm

S5 variants...5422 vs s801

So i am looking at the availability Of the s5 and ebay has both s5 Versions with snapdragon s801 and exynos 5422 available. Unfortunately it is hsdpa only and no lte. Both capable Of 4k recording, exysnos is in hmp Mode with 8 max processors.
801 - 699$
5422 - 749$

5422 in S5 is still unconfirmed, so HMP big.LITTLE is unconfirmed also.
Hmm.. isn't it already launch in india?

Yes guys.. Sammy announced it in India and they have exynos 5 with hmp enabled! so this is sure and confirmed!
So is the leaked SM-G906S QHD version real? it was apparently spotted on the GFXbench chart with a 2k Res screen and snapdragon 805..Wonder if this is real

Info: Samsung involvement in upcoming Qualcomm processors.

Samsung has been licensed by Qualcomm and he been manufacturing some 28nm FinFet Snapdragon processors. Samsung will be continuing this trend for Qualcomm's upcoming 20nm and 14nm FinFet processors as well. These include upcoming Snapdragon 625, 629, 815 and 820 processors. Samsung, however, will be continuing to manufacture their own Exynos processors in the future as well.
Which processor should you opt in for Exynos or Qualcomm chipsets in future Samsung devices?
It's your call~
-->Samsung has been continuing the trend of releasing two variants for their new Galaxy lineups, one with Exynos and one with Qualcomm.
The advantage of Qualcomm processors:
1) GPU has been optimized with the SoC to provide the maximum performance (TFT process).
2) Processor clock frequency will be higher than Exynos and provide better peak performances.
3) Modem has been integrated with the SoC to provide the maximum battery life.
The advantage of Exynos processors:
1) Better multicore performances. (Samsung KTA optimizations).
2) Every core is optimized for Samsung devices. (Samsung KTA optimizations).
3) SoC is strictly designed for Samsung devices. (Samsung KTA optimizations).
4) Thermal and Pressure Canopy technology. Your phone will now operate is harsh conditions without sacrificing your phone's lifespan.

I personally prefer Exynos. The way the each core is designed provides better thread perf. per core.
Makes no difference to me if my network gets Exynos Note 5 I'll get a Exy. Note 5, if they get Qualcomm Note 5 then I'll get a Qualcomm Note 5.
What I do like in the QC Snapdragon variants is the battery life, having the latest LTE Cat support at the time.
What I like with Exynos, is Samsung always staying on the cutting edge, although that isn't always a benefit as I learnt with the Exynos S4.
Can't really say I prefer one over the other.

I agree with you. If we look into the processor execution protocols (AEX,ATS64, Trust Execution.etc), Exynos definitely is ahead of the game. When it comes down to stability and the development support, I would say Qualcomm is ahead of the game.

Bringing new life to my old phone

Mainly joined to play with my old S8+ and root it. I managed to do it though!

Verizon Samsung Galaxy S8+
The Galaxy S8 from Samsung comes in two flavors this year. You can choose between the classic S8 or the S8+. The larger S8+ has a huge 6.2" screen with 1440 x 2960 pixels. The Snapdragon 835 chipset has an octa-core (4x2.45 GHz Kryo & 4x1.9 GHz Kryo) CPU and an Adreno 540 GPU. You'll have...
