Hello.
Is there a possibility to alter pebble settings from the phone (Android) ?
In fact I like to switch bluetooth off on the Pebble when I'm in my car because it keeps disconnecting my audio.
Of course I know I have to switch bluetooth back on manually to establish a new connection with my phone
Maybe with tasker or some other software ?
Greetings.

Hey Guys!
Is there a way to tell WM6 to automatically route Audio through A2DP as soon as a paired device supporting the profile is connected?
Clarification:
When using a Hands-Free-Headsetfor telephony you can pair it once, then turn it off, after that it is automatically connected to the phone as soon as you turn it on again.
In contrast to that a Bluetooth Stereo headset is not automatically connected, you have to manually activate it in Bluetooth Settings first before you can listen to music through it.
Especially with my car stereo used as "A2DP Headset" (which loses power every time the ignition is turned off) this can get highly annoying.
Is there a way to tell Windows to automatically "use" A2DP-Peripherals when available?
Try A2DP Toggle: http://www.teksoftco.com/index.php?section=freeware
The Today-plugin migt reconnect automatically, but it has a memory-leak...
To easily manually reconnect, you can create a shortcut to the exe:
\Program Files\Teksoft\A2DPToggle\A2DP.exe
Then you can put that program on your today screen easily.
And if you want a nice icon with that shortcut, you can change the shortcut file to:
53#"\Program Files\Teksoft\A2DPToggle\A2DP.exe" "-a2dp:1"?\Program Files\Teksoft\A2DPToggle\settings.exe,-0

Yep. The WM bluetooth stack sucks. It works better with some stereos though. I tried it out in the store with I believe a Pioneer (with bluetooth 2.0) and it was perfect. Turned it on and a2dp connects. Switch to another input and a2dp disconnects. Switch back to bluetooth audio and it connects. It was flawless. I ended up ordering the kenwood built in bluetooth unit (bluetooth v1.2) and it is terrible. I must manually toggle the bluetooth connection (I use a program that I wrote to do so, kinda similar to the above the above poster posted). Also, sometimes after a call comes in it wont reconnect. Sometimes i must power off then on the headunit a few times. Wasnt this thing supposed to make things easier?! A real shame because I love everyting else about the kenwood head unit. It works better with some ROMs on my phone (this is with a tilt; xperia on the way ).
Yeah, A2DP Toggle works for me as well, It's just dumb that this phone cant just do that itself. My old W880i could! I'm using a Sony DR-BT21G headset

A story to learn before you you buy the head-unit I spent almost an hour at Fry's to try many units w/ my Tilt as well (Sony, Pioneer, Kenwood, JVC ...etc) and ordered online w/ the JVC unit. Excellent sound (compare to other model) but disconnect after phone call issue exist. I believe it's HTC fault since my Eten M600 (MS BT stack) and Asus P525 (Widcomm) doesn't have this issue (but others....). But I got to admitted HTC one do have the best sound quality.
BTW, my JVC BT-1 will auto connect my X1/Tilt when I start my car and I think it serve my purpose.

I have created an application wich runs the commandline setting automaticly, so you never have to do anything again it connects automaticly. You can find it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=502549
Hello,
I have an ongoing annoyance with my G1, and was wondering if anyone knew a workaround. I have a Motorola S705 bluetooth device. It's basically a little rechargeable dongle that lets me use regular headphones and walk around. It also has a built-in mic so it can work for accepting phone calls, which is retarded because it stays clipped to my belt.
I really only want it to ever take over media-playing functions and nothing else. I have a rooted G1 running Cyanogen's latest. Is there a config file or something I can edit and force the phone to never ever ever (ever) use the phone-headset bluetooth profile and only connect via the stereo media profile?
When I set it to only use the media profile via the GUI, it obeys these settings for a little while, but for no apparent reason it will occasionally revert back to defaulting to the phone profile when connected, and I have to go back in and uncheck the phone box, check the media box, reconnect, etc.
Thanks!
Alternatively, since I have no desire to use a bluetooth headset, is there a way to just disable that profile entirely?
Hi all,
I`m confused since i can not disable bluetooth media service on SGN for my car audio.
I can actually, but for this particular session only: by going to bluetooth settings, clicking cog icon on my paired car audio, deselecting media profile and leaving phone profile only.
But the next time i reconnect both services are enabled again.
Any ideas?
i have the EXACT same issue in my car. I haven't found a fix yet
Nice to hear that im not alone here
But im not sure if it has something to od with car audio.
interesting is if it keeps choice of enabled/disabled services at all?
should it by design or not?
Tasker script could help maybe, but i havent tried it yet

problem seems to be old enough
Hi Everyone!
I'm really new to Tasker and struggling to figure out how to solve the below issue. I can answer the calls using my HONOR smartwatch as well (not an Android WEAR device!), but once my phone is connected to the car's bluetooth system, I do want to use the CAR for answering the calls. This time unfortunately the watch takes over the call immediatelly and I have no opten to use the car's system - which is unacceptable. Is there a way to turn OFF - only the call-answering ability - of the watch' bluetooth connection when my phone is connected to the car, then turn it back ON once I'm out of my car (not being connected to its bluetooth system any more)?
I' d really appreciaty any guidance for this issue!
Thx in advance!
I wondered if any of the tasker expers could advise a way around an issue I have.
I have 2 cars, both with bluetooth conected to my Pixel 6.
I also have a Garmin watch connected via bluetooth used for alerts etc.
Since I've started working from home, I have an issue which is drivng me crazy. If my wife goes out or return in either of the cars, but phone will connect to the car outside whilst I'm in the middle of a call.
I could just turn off bluetooth, but then I'd lose connectivity to my watch.
What I really want is the ability to enable/disable individual bluetooth devices based on my location. So if at home, the cars are disabled, if away from home (i.e. driving) they are enabled. However bluetooth seems to be all or nothing.
I could forget the connections, and re-pair whilst out in the car, but thats a pain.
So I wonder if even if tasker cannot disable individual connections, maybe it can change the settings of those connections. If I go into the car setting, I have 3 toggles which can be set off/on. Phone Calls, Media Audio, Contact Sharing.
Is it possible for tasker to change these settings on an individual bluetooth device based on location? So basically, if I'm home, disable phone calls and media audio on my cars.
And if this is possible, what is the best event trigger? Presumably GPS is one way. I also have wifi at home, but dont use it on my phone (4g is quicker and more reliable)
Can tasker scan for wifi networks and use as a trigger without actually connecting to wifi? Are there any other ways of detecting I have left home?
And if Tasker cannot do this, any ideas how to get around this issue outside of tasker?
Thanks in Advance.
