Both were good downloads. Thank you. But they aren't working for me. Either one. I install , then install recovery, and then reboot but nothing happens. I get a long pause at the samsung galaxy note 3 screen and then it reboots. I am rooted. Busybox and super su are working. Dont know what's happening.

Make sure you install busybox befor safestrap
FIREKAT V13X...so good you wanna slap your mama
The same thing happened to me. I did a factory data reset in settings/General/Backup and Reset. Reinstalled Safestrap, then it worked. I did a Data restore in Safestrap to get back apps.

Np, Didnt test it overly long but all the important stuff seems ok. Wifi and root . I didnt make any changes just added root and de-odex

this package is great! just flashed it from cwr , it upgraded on boot , no hassle. thanks again,
checked every app , no issues, root works flawlessly, screen is definitely more responsive, page turning in reader is very good now. wifi connects right up. and the lock screen is nice (pic of fountain pen and letter.)
I tried this ROM and I have a little issue, when SuperSU tried to update its binaries, the process would get stuck in the update window. And after 10 minutes of waiting, when I rebooted the tablet, tried again and a message showed up saying the SuperSU cannot update the binaries by itself.
Thank you for this ROM. I was looking for something like this.

Yeah don't update binarys. The one installed works fine. It's a ics issue. I'm sure it will be worked out. But I'm not gonna worry about it. Like they say if it ain't broke don't fix it

U mean for otas? If u mean for ota it will stay broke u don't want to update or ull lose root. If when a ota comes ill de odex and root it again. Then u can flash via recovery.

Edit: I restored my nand back to just root and error is gone. Everything I read seems to a link this error on At&t phones, so I don't know why I got it here. I will hold off on flashing roms on this for a while, and continue flashing on my phone where I don't ever have any issues.

I added Comadose with crossbreeder but haven't added any mods yet. Do you have any mods that you recommend? I really like inverted and transparency mods if you know of anything. I use a ton on my phone, but don't know what works on my tab yet.

Download the new cwm, and flash this rom, it is a stock rooted rom.
Just started playing with some mods. I installed xposed and added gravity box.

Great work. Two things I have rooted by installing cwm recovery then flashing this rom and Google search keeps force closing. I flashed the deodexed version, first I just did a dirty flash, since I was coming from unrooted stock, so I thought maybe ifi go through all the wiping steps, factory reset and then flash but it still fc s. Second thing I thought maybe I'll try the odexed version since I'm coming from stock unrooted and the link won't work. The little green download button pops up but when it's pressed nothing happens then says page won't load. Any ideas?

Great work, it's efficient which is exactly what this kind if app should be. I think a nice addition would be if it could tell us how large the cache is....if you feel like adding that.

That's the truth. Working on this theme (and some little tweaks) I've bootlooped this thing 2 twice a day this week, I'm so tired of using lg flash tool to restore, really missing my twrp right now.
On a side note I've been working on a deodex stock for everyone to use a base. I was trying to use the stock kdz file, but ask the extract tools are giving me a corrupt cab file, any tips? I prefer to use the untouched base because I've replaced a lot of files on my phone already so it wouldn't a full stock if i just adb pulled my /system

Man to tell you the truth idk how to extract the kdz files. I do have the system apps and folders and I myself keep bootlooping my phone and I'm sick of it. I tried deoxed they rom and my tool gets hangup. I have been manually decopiling the odex files but everything time i push something bootloop

I have kingroot installed no custom rooms and software version 4.3. I have tried to update my software and it stops at about 25% every time. Anybody have any ideas? Thanks
You will have to do the Restore to MJ5 tutorial in the general section.
Root normally screws up the update.

Root doesn't screw up the update- Kingo does. I was in your exact shoes.
I did the MJ5 restore, rooted, did the OTA update and then did step 10 again for root. Works perfectly. Then I did Drakey's GPS Fix and now everything works great.

I'm sorry, that is incorrect. Root will mess up an update. Kingo roots the device, that is it.

Perhaps anecdotal, but I went in circles with Kingo. Couldn't unroot, couldn't update. Its method of rooting is not the same as other 'conventional' ways.
After restoring and rooting via the MJ5 restore process, I updated to NB4 with no issues. I didn't need RootCloak or anything of the sort. There are others. I haven't read of others successfully updating w/Kingo root. I could be wrong.
I did remove the root using kingroot web site but the safestrap was still there. I could not up date the phone. So i reinstalled kingroot again and iam back to square one, a rooted phone but cant up date.

open safestrap uninstall recovery then go to your app manager and uninstall bootstrap then unroot
So here my problem like an idiot i tryed to unroot with out deleting any of the apps and programs (safeboot,titanium). So i had to to reroot and the safestrap is still there. I have dont see this file in application manager, but if i restart my safestrap comes up on my screen. Its safstrap 3.71 (twrp v2.6.31) i dont see a delete button.

I have been buried in XDA threads for a few years trying to learn as much as I can (thanks for that by the way)
The title of this thread is Can't download update so I hope I am asking this in the right place.
Plus over time I have come to learn that jerrycoffman45 is damn good at this stuff...
First off when I go to the MEGA site (https://mega.co.nz/#!Hd1QnA7b!MV5i7du4oim9zKLArQl51tTYiymqIXMhaALsMjFHRyQ) to download the "Coming from JB" for KNOXRAID KITKAT ROM V5.1 it works normal until it gets to 99 percent.
I've tried it on all 4 of my computers with the same result = is there another way I can get it?
Secondly, after I install the AllianceROM (thank you RErick) and am setting it up, my phone starts playing the boot animation like it keeps restarting like every other minute or so.
I really want to use the AllianceROM and could not find anything related to this when searching the thread or the entire forum.
Any help would really be appreciated!!!
Try using Internet Explorer or Chrome to download from Mega. It is a picky site.
Try to do a factory reset in the stock recovery. I have had to do that a few times right after installing a ROM to get it to boot properly.

try downloading the mega app then downloaded it on your phone with that app now for alliance rom sounds like you might have a bad download if there is no md5 to check i try opening the zip on the computer usually if it is bad it will give a error if the download is good reread the op for the rom and make sure you are following the instructions to install the rom and this is not the right thread for this you should have started a new one if none of this works pm me

I used to reed these threads and told myself that I would not waste the developers time with questions I could find the answer to my self...
That being said I did follow the instructions to the tee
I also tried creating a new fresh slot in safestrap and wiped it and flashed it a number of times following the examples given at different points of the threads
I have learned to follow the process that drakeymcmb has posted (wipe 3 times flash twice) on every install I do especially it its not working
I have 3 separate zip files downloaded to cover the corrupt file issue BUT I have not tried graydiggy's suggestion
If that does not work I will PM you if I figure out how to do that...
I try to give you as many thanks as I can and understand why people donate = you guys deserve it
Heck, I have paid good money for support as an IT manager and the techs were not as helpful as you guys are

I could sure use some help in this one. Not exactly sure what to do. My phone was running Android 4.2.2 rooted with TWRP (2.6.3.3). I saw that the OTA update for Android 4.4.2 was available so I went ahead and downloaded it. Once I tried to install it it rebooted into recovery. I tried rebooting the system, but it takes me back to recovery. It won't do anything else. I tried getting into download mode, but it won't do it either. Someone mentioned that it may be wiped, but the memory on the phone still shows all the files in there. Not sure what went wrong. If anyone has any ideas, I'm all ears. Thanks.
Just flash back to an old nandroid for now. You might have to be unrooted or use voodoo root keeper while you update. Idk tho I am just reading up on it now. Were you just rooted on a stock ROM? Or using xposed?

Go to the the thread that these guys linked, I had the same exact thing happen on the 12B update. The linked method will work
