Hi all,
I RMA'd my TF701 a month ago now but Asus have said that they have not received my tablet. Also the RMA application itself isn't even on their system, very strange. Thinking it may have been stolen I tried to locate it on Asus Device Tracker only for it to say "command failed".
This is the third time I have RMA'd this same tablet. The first time Asus replaced the motherboard so I'm wondering if the serial number has changed and maybe thats why Asus can not find the tablet and why I cant locate it on Asus Device Tracker.
I would guess that the issue with the device tracker is because of this warning on the device tracker
"Device Tracker requires Android version 4.3 or earlier due to the system limitation , Devices running Android version 4.4.x (KitKat) or later are not currently supported."
I would guess that you have updated to KitKat and that is not supported.

Hey all! Something I've noticed lately. When I first got my nexus 6, it would identify itself as 18d1:4ee7. When I switched to CM12.1 nightly and/or android-m-preview, it started identifying itself as 18d1:4ee2. It shows nothing relating to Nexus 6 ids anymore. Its either 4ee0, 4ee1, 4ee2 depending on phone mode/state. Is there somewhere on the phone that this information is stored or is it hard-coded into the code/roms? Any way of properly changing it back? The ids both show in windows and linux. Phone and ADB/fastboot work fine as it is, but not having the right usb ids gets on my nerves.
*edit* I am currently running CM12.1 nightly. (20150604) (shamu)
Baseband MDM9625_104651.11.05.16R
Why do the USB ids matter? Do you have special software that runs based on ids? Also yes. They are hard coded. You have to edit the rom to change them. Unless there comes a rom that lets you change them. ?
Sent from board express on my Nokia Lumia 1020. Best phone ever!
Nah, no specific reason. Its just an annoyance. I have no software that requires the usbids.
Ok. Don't worry about it too much then. You could ask cm to fix the issue...

So recently my friend whom also has a huawei p9, showed me that he got an update on his phone. It was the android 7 with emui 5. I checked my phone settings to look for updates available, and unfortunately, my huawei says there are no available updates. Why is it the case? How can update my phone?
Thanks you all;
If you need more information iwill provide that...

I dont know why huawei is always like that when it comes to updates. btw instead of checking or waiting for it come to your device you can look for tutorials here on how to manually flash the update. :good:
Huawei is not alone in this situation. So dont start bashing it so soon.
Right now, only 6.6% of ALL android devices is running on 7.0(data from official Android dev Dashboard).
And for update for P9, its mostly regional problem, so as @cheeze.keyk mentioned its best to update it manually.
But I seriously cant get my head around that idea of people crying for update... Because to be honest beside different number in phone settings, and few really small changes in look, there is no difference at all... its not like update will make your phone super-mega-ultra better than before or release some hidden features or make it super faster. Its just a bigger number in phone info...
And I can bet my own P9 that someone could put on your phone android 4.4 that just look like EMUI5 and you would not notice that...
When I still where using Sony devices, I rarely update them... and guess what? No problems at all, device was fast as always, there is no compatibility problems(honestly I have android TV that still work on 4.0 and I can watch YT or stream media without a problem...)
So overall if update dont change anything significant or fix some major problems, worrying about lack of update is not something that you should be sad about.
In some cases, making a hard reset, the OTA appears.
In my case it was the provider. After I changed the sim, nougat was there.

I have the same problem and it's not down to Huawei. My phone is a branded phone (Movistar , Spain) and it is up to them to release the update. After 5 months I am still waiting, God only knows why. For this reason I will never again buy a phone from a service provider, especially Movistar, as you pay for a top of the range phone and are reliant on them to release the update as and when they feel like it. I have just tried updating it myself but have only succeeded in de-branding it so need to try again. Could be that you have the same problem. Good luck.
Hi!
So I've tried searching but cannot find the answer (or similar topics). Perhaps I'm all alone, or just need to improve my search skills.
Anyhow, I've had this issue a long time (last two updates at least): When I open an app that requires fingerprint authentification, a lot of times, it opens the previous app that I opened with fingerprint authentification, instead of the intended one.
Does anyone else have this issue, and if so, a solution? It's beginning to drive me CRAZY, and I'm getting worried as it seems there will be no more updates for this device (rumours about Oreo has been out but Huawei has confirmed on Facebook that they have no plan on that update for my phone as of now).
Model: EVA-L09C432B395
EMUI: 5.0.1
ANDROID VERSION: 7.0
Actually I've been encountering this as well... I got another phone with EMUI 8.0 (Nova 2 Lite) and the same issue still persists. I think this lies to EMUI itself.
Is it just me or anyone else finds that their XZ3 is very unstable after Android 10 update?
It was already kind of slow although it was suppose to be quite good phone, but after Android 10 it is just annoyingly slow.
Can't have few apps running. For example, If I have firefox with youtube video playing and messenger active, it takes 5 seconds to switch between them. Reset didnt help much.
So the question is, is it just my phone or everyone noticed that it is slow now?
Problem Xperia XZ3
Have this phone myself. After the update to Android 10 many problems that you can find overall on the internet. Hopefully there will be a re-release for Android 10.
We need more information about the Android 10 update.
First of all, the XZ3 was participating in the Android 10 beta testing, so you'd have thought the official release of Android 10 would be less buggy than it might have been otherwise, as opposed to more.
Secondly, some people do not seen to be experiencing problems with the update. This always seems to happen with updates, especially major ones, and no solid reasons are ever found. because of the lack of details that users post when they have a problem.
I'm in the UK on O2, and XperiFirm shows that O2 have approved the update (and did so several weeks ago); but I can't get it, so presumably Sony have blocked it. I'm glad that they have, if there's a risk it could cripple my phone. What I woud like, however, is some information from Sony and Google/Android, stating the problems and if they're working on them or not. Sony specifically stated that the XZ3 will receive an Android 10 update, and then at least security-only updates for a while yet. Clearly something has got in the way of these definitively outlined plans, and I don't want to wait forever before someone either from Sony or O2 UK tells me why.
because of what I've said above, can people on here posting about the XZ3 Android 10 software update state their country and mobile provider please? When talking about software updates, either OTA or via cable, these details which don't take a second to mention are vital. Just the country won't do, and just the provider won't do.
As I have been trying to get answers from Sony support, though I`ll register just to share a message I got from them today:
"We have recieved a few reports regarding the issues that you are experiencing with your Xperia device.
We have escalated it further to our developers and they are currently investigating the issues.
We do unfortunately not have a set date for when or if there will be an update.
We thank you for your patience."
The "or if" part made me concerned...
But in the weekend I did completely reset my xz3 and so far have nothing to complain about - everything looks and works good (but I did the long road - didn`t use backup, but set everything from scratch (except Nova launcher settings).
Dont be. It hasn't even got a master update. We will probably get Android 11 as well since sony has a two year update policy.
Problem Xperia XZ3
I read this on internet but can not tell it is true.
Sony Xperia XZ2 & XZ3 Android 10 update re-released with the same software build version.
Sony started rolling out the stable Xperia XZ2 and Xperia XZ3 Android 10 update in early January 2020 following the release of the same OS to the newer Xperia 1 and Xperia 5 in late 2019.The update was released with software build version 52.1.A.0.532, tagging along all the goodness of Android 10 and a new security patch level to go with. But it wasn’t long after before annoying fingerprint and alarm bugs, among other bugs, started showing up on both Xperia XZ2 and XZ3 units that had just switched to the new OS.
While it’s sometimes usual for issues to pop up here and there after a major software update, this wasn’t the case after the Xperia XZ2 and XZ3 Android 10 update. As a result, Sony halted the rollout in order to fix the many issues in the initial firmware. Nearly three weeks later, the Japanese tech giant has now resumed rolling out the same update to the two series of devices. For some reason, though, the update is arriving with the same software build version 52.1.A.0.532 released last month, something that is causing confusion.
Despite keeping the same firmware version, we want to believe the re-released Xperia XZ2 and XZ3 Android 10 update has been patched and it’s now bug-free. But of course, we can only be sure after installing and actually using the updated firmware. Reports of people whose units have picked up the update are still scarce to come by, but a quick look at the Xpericheck website does confirm new firmware updates available for the Xperia XZ2, XZ2.
Yeah, all four devices are receiving their Android 10 updates with the same software version 52.1.A.0.532, but as usual with OTA updates, it may take some time before all units out there receive the download notification.
It is not a new version. It is the same buggy as hell one. When Sony fixes bugs, always changes the build number.
Problem Xperia XZ3
Today xperia update 52.1.A.0.618 arrived in the Netherlands
Fingerprint still not working correctly
For me the new update from 4th or 3rd of march wiped one app which I am not sure was it as I had 60 apps before update and now I see only 9.
nNyway they deleted or did something to ringtones bcs suddenly I can not find my beloved Eastern Sky ringtones in the stock ringtones folder.
Already did the clear cache/clear storage thingy for Medai Storage app but no the file is not in the phone anymore. I checked with total commander and was searching for the Eastern Sky ringtone but nothing at all.
So I have to download my beloved stock ringtone. WTF Sony ???
I hope now that they might have fixed the teething bugs with Android 10, O2 will deploy the update. Xperifirm tells/told me that they had approved the Android 10 update over a month ago, but obviously either Sony or O2 UK were holding it back, because I'm still on Android 9. I'm happy if that was because the update was defective, but I'm getting a little bit impatient now. It's easy for big companies to forget how much an individual has paid (for the phone and the contract) when it was over a year ago. I expect my XZ3 to be updated until December this year, when it will be two years old and I can have an upgrade/leave option.
Xperifirm tells me that O2 UK have approved the latest update, i.e. the second Android 10 version:
About 3 hours after I posted that, I got the update, OTA. Now I feel a bit silly.
I had this problem so I went through the settings and found a setting that had the mobile data running when connected to the WiFi so I turned that off and restarted my phone and its been running smoothly ever since.
After the latest updates 52.1.A.2.1 all bugs seems to be
fixed. no lag issues, fingerprint works good, HDR videos plays great. There is one issue with this device that battery drains fast.
I just bought a second-hand Xperia 1 ii XQ-AT51 and didn't noticed then that Wi-fi and Bluetooth are not working.
And also that the bootloader is unlocked.
Besides from those issue and that the charging seems to be regular charging, not fast, everything works fine (NFC, Mobile Data, camera, features).
I don't know what the previous owner did, he clearly did something because the bootloader was unlocked; and asking and reading from other post, seems that nobody had these issues when unlocking the bootloader or rooting this model.
I locked the bootloader and tried repairing the software with Xperia Companion. Same software 58.1.A.5.507 (as I see the latest) before and after repair
Guess what: nothing different, although repairing was successful.
Then I unlocked the bootloader, flashed twrp as recovery (probably not necessary in my case) and flashed the stock software with Flashtool, latest from xperifirm (the same version I had before).
But I got some messages that some 3 things didn't flashed (not saved them).
Still the same.
Under Settings -> About it says Unavailable at Wi-fi MAC address and Bluetooth address.
With code *#*#4636#*#* I can see that the Wi-fi MAC address is 02:00:00..... (see attached image).
With code *#*#7378423#*#* at Bluetooth says Enable Bluetooth, at WLAN says enable WLAN, but on another Xperia I can see that it says OK for Enable an then Searching (see attached image).
Do you guys have any idea what to try to solve this issue or what to test in order to find the cause?
Thanks!
hi man ,i have same this issue with my mark II (XQ-AT52) , do you find out the way to turn on wifi and BT ?
Unfortunately no. After an Android/Security update the phone started to restart in about 2 minutes at max. So after 10 seconds or 1 minute it restarted, but not suddenly (like if you disconnect the battery), it was restarting normally. Then I tried software repair, but the phone would be stuck or get out of the flashmode. Enters fastboot but it wasn't seen by PC with adb devices command.
So now I have another issue that most probably will leave my Xperia as a brick. Sadly, because I really liked it.
I have now a SH Galaxy Note 10, but I'm planning to buy another Xperia when this brokes.
I also had the exact same problem as you, so I gave up later, when Android 12 push out and i upgrade but didn't solve problem, so I was wondering whether to continue using it without wifi and bluetooth or send it to Sony for repair.

On mine I also noticed after I bought it that it was opened, so I didn't found if it was hw or sw related, but since you also had this problem probably it is a software issue, or at least not a hardware issue because someone opened it.
Especially if yours is in warranty, I think you should send it to Sony.
If i use a third-party rom like miui , WIFI and BT sometimes can be opened and used, but it will cause the system to crash, so I also think it is a software problem ,maybe related to the persist partition 。
hi guy,I sent my mobile phone to Sony for maintenance. After they tried to update the system again, they told me that I needed to replace the motherboard, which cost $400 , so I gave up and now use the unofficial rom
