[Q] RSD Lite HELP!!! - Moto X Q&A

I have a question:
my carrier is claro Colombia with android version 4.4.2, and I have open bootloader and I am root, my question is if I can pass from claro Colombia firmware 4.4.2 to 4.4.4 retail brasil firmware for without problems ??
My moto x is XT1058

If your bootloader is unlocked, there's no reason to worry about losing root. All you have to do is flash the latest su.zip file in recovery.

If you are talking about flashing a Claro Branded XT1058 running 4.4.2 with the rom from Brazil 4.4.4 rom for an XT1058, in theory, yes, it should be possible, especially since they are both XT1058 and you are bootloader unlocked.
Keep in mind, once on 4.4.4, you can NOT return to 4.4.2 safely. So if you run into issues, make sure you have the Claro XT1058 4.4.4 SBF to flash back to.

Your bootloader is locked, I'm guessing you're on UBUBML3 firmware. The only way you can update (or install any other firmware for that matter) is to get official firmware for your pone that has been signed by Samsung. The AT&T 4.4.2 update will not work on your phone unfortunately, so you're going to have to get the update directly from Telcel.

[Q] OTA on XT1053 unlocked bootloader with firmware changed through RSD Lite

Hi,
I've been reading all the post about OTA update, but I couldn't find a clear answer to my question.
I have an XT1053 Dev Edition with 4.4.2 running.
I've unlocked the bootloader and changed firmware to 4.4.2 European version (Blur_Version.161.44.16.ghost_row.Retail.en.EU) through RSD Lite to have italian language on it.
Then I've flashed T-mobile modem to have a better signal.
The phone is not rooted.
When I'll receive the OTA update to 4.4.3, will it be safe to accept it?
Thanks in advance to any reply!!

It should be Ok, the worst thing that will happen is that the OTA will fail and then you will know you may need to return back to stock4.4.2.

[Q] Flash US Retail Firmware on Consumer Cellular Version

Hi,
I can see there are 2 US retail firmwares on http://sbf.droid-developers.org/phone.php?device=36
Which one should i use to restore a Consumer Cellular version to standard US Retail, also if you point me the steps guide using adb that would be great.
Also, would i need to unlock bootloader before flashing the retail version?
Thanks.
Any way to flash lollipop update to consumer cellular branded Moto g 2014?
Please check this link, i finally managed to downgrade to US Retail from Consumer Cellular version and flash lollipop via adb recovery!
