[Q] Alarm with mp3 sound on LG G R - LG G Watch R

I wonder if it is possible to ring an alarm with self choosen sound on my watch. Which applications if any are available.
At this moment with the standard I should choose a 15 minutes tameframe, the watch makes a buzz but that won't get me awake.
Thanks.

The watch has no speakers. So the music would need to play on your phone or a separate speaker.
The Runtastic Sleep Better app allows you to put a Alarm of your choice and tracks other sleep information. But it's not tied to the watch, it runs on the phone.

Music stops for notifications

This was never an issue with my X10 and I cnanot find a way to change this behavior.
Just because I get a notification, I do not need the music to stop. This is app independent, it is like the OS notifications will stop all other sound.
How can I stop this behavior?
i dont think you can. If the music didn't stop how would you hear the notifications. Don't you want it to stop the music for incoming calls... well its the same principle.

I can hear it because it would play over the music, it doesn't need to fully stop, it didst stop on my x10, it didn't stop on my ip3g..
It is insanely annoying for the sound to just stop wait 1/2 second then play a notification, then wait 1/2 second then start again.

[Q] Can you get the alarm to play a full song?

Probably a stupid question; I did try searching and I couldn't find anything so here goes.
Pretty much what I said in the title, is there any way to get the alarm to play an entire song? It is very jarring when you're just starting to rock out in the morning and the song ends abruptly. To be honest it's so demoralizing it makes me want to just go back to sleep.
You can use some third-party-app for that.
I use "Alarmdroid". It can do that and much more.
How long does the song?
I use Playlist Alarm from Market app, it is free and can play whole list of songs if you like.
Ridiculous
Isn't it ridiculous that the default app would have this limitation, and have it not be configurable, forcing users to get other apps?
Gugle amazes me sometimes with some of their products.

Default music player doesn't allow this. Grab RingDroid from the Play Store.

you could put the mp3 in a "Ringtones" folder, then pick the file from sound in settings.
With ringdroid i can only set it as a notification, can't use it as ringtone.
And tried to copy the file to the Music folder and media/audio folder but i can't see it in my settings
Default music player does let you set the ring tone-
Just "long press" on the track and the option appears:

Is the Smartwatch any good?
Good question, I won my smart watch in a phones4u comp, I thinks it's great but not sure I would feel that way if I paid full Price.
If you set the clock display to always on the battery won't last a day. I have it set to come on when double tapping the screen. Not so handy if your struggling with the shopping!
Other than that it's pretty impressive, being able to quickly glance at notifications saves taking the phone out of your pocket constantly and mp3 control, whilst basic, is a nice touch.
It does however have a detrimental effect on your phones battery and keeps disconnecting from the Z (worked perfect on the S) maybe the next update will sort it.

Cool.
Thanks for answering.
Am I right in thinking it doesn't work as a hands-free kit?

It does not have a speaker so no good as a hands free, You can answer and reject calls but only any real use if your use a blue tooth headset- or as I do a blue tooth car stereo.

Thanks for clearing that up for me.
Hope you enjoy your XZ.
I've downloaded a music player from play store and the player had the option for it.

Wow my bad. Never even saw that option in the long press menu, then again, I don't long press random things.

To set one of mp3s as a ringtone you don't need to download anything extra. Just go to the sound setting and on the top right hand side of the screen press the Music Symbol and then you'll have access to all your music on your pone.
Revert back to default ringtones folder
GO TO->Settings->Apps->all->Tap on THREE dots & reset apps preferences.
NOW GO TO-.SETTINGS->SOUND->UNDER RINGTONES&VIBRATIONS, TAP->PHONE RINGTONES->TAP SIM1/SIM2->U'LL FIND SOUND PICKER,FILE COMMANDER & SO;SELECT SOUND PICKER TO SELECT XPERIA'S PRELOADED RINGTONES,THAT'S IT!

Music Controls

Has anyone found a better app for remote controlling your music.

I personally used M2D's manager app to send tasker intents from my watch to my phone and on the phone I have tasks for each control and use "Media Utilities" in the Play store to actually perform the actions as it has a tasker plugin. I also use it to send the currently playing song to my watch and display it with the Zooper widget. It's tricky and time consuming but there is a tutorial in the M2D thread in these forums.

music control

Im not sure if its a glitch with my Pebble, or a problem with the software in general. Using the stock music player, i am able to correctly use the controls; play/pause, next and previous track. however even though the Pebble is set to use PowerAmp for my music, the display only shows one song and it isnt the song thats currently playing. Nor does it change when i go to different tracks
Anyone else have this issue? any resolutions? I also wouldnt mind a recommendation for a music app to throw on here, the only ones that looked decent are paid
Your music app on your phone isn't broadcasting AVRCP, common issue.
To fix this and get a vastly superior music control watch app - get Music Boss for Pebble.

You don't need to pay money for silly music pebble apps. Go to the bluetooth settings in power amp and toggle metachange intent to ON. That is all.

I would hardly call the best App for Pebble, written by the most responsive and user focused Pebble developer, "silly".
