Facing a different kind of rebooting issue
Hi guys.... I've got the Z3C on 23rd Oct & since past few days I'm facing a weird rebooting problem. Whenever I receive a whatsapp message & the notification tone rings, or like something on facebook & the phone sounds the facebook pop, the phone suddenly reboots halfway through the notification tone or the pop & after it's rebooted, the 'mobile data is disabled' message appears in my notification. It's happened quite a few times now & I'm worried. The message appears if I manually reboot the phone too. I initially believed some bad process from whatsapp's causing this so I tried uninstalling it, but even after doing that & rebooting in safe mode the phone, the problem persists. PLEASE HELP :crying::crying:

reboots about every 10 mins

Mine has started to reboot about every 10 mins. Support said to use sony pc companion to run repair/update which removes all personal settings and reinstalls the software it is fairly drastic. I have done this twice now and the only app configured is gmail and fac book after about 2 hours it starts to reboot again every 10 mins

Use a different decoder. Switch between S/W and H/W or H/W+.

I did that. For now it's ok
Sent from my D5833 using Tapatalk

I had the same problem of random reboots. used PC companion. the frequency of reboots decreased but still present. was asked by sony repair center to send them the phone.
They will try to repair it or replace with a new cellphone. Its only been 7 days since I got the phone.

no sound when receiving a message

I really love the phone except i`ve got the same problem as i did with the Diamond 1. When I receive a message the sound doesn`t go and it doesn`t vibrate but the green LED does flash. The second I turn on the screen using the standby-key it vibrates AND I can hear the ringtone. It drives me crazy. I didn`t have this problem the first couple of days I had the phone. I haven`t installed anything on the phone yet. Are there more people that have this problem?
Maybe it's a problem with other software? Does this happen directly after a hard reset? Mine plays a sound upon receiving a message...
have the same problem. but do not know if this started when i changed the melody for the message to one that is on the memory card.
have not tried hard reset yet to see f it helps
Do not store ringtones on the memory card, when the phone goes into standby it turns off the SD card interface to save power. The same goes for any programs that you want to keep running in the background when the phone goes into standby.
i face the same problem.... likely is the ROM problem..
not only that bluetooth also have some problem...
Are you using any call blocking / filtering software? Just a thought as I had the same issue after installing Magicall.
The device is as clean as a whistle
I haven`t installed any 3rd party software of any kind. I believe it is a flaw in the software. Perhaps this will be fixed a the next rom-update.
I also have this problem now. Yesterday I got an important SMS, but did know about it until 30 min later when I clicked the standby-key. The wierd thing is that this does not happen all the time. Usually I get notified within a few minutes of a new message. I do not have my sound files on the storage card. Any ideas how to solve this?
I get this problem too, and its rather annoying.. you could try setting the phone to wake on SMS, however, depending on your lock settings, it will probably wake up unlocked even if it was locked. I like my phone to be locked at all times unless I unlock manually or I get a call ONLY.
The reg key is
HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\RIL\DisableSMSWakeUpEvent=0
Craig
Edit: if you go into Sound -> Notifications -> Messenging: New Text Message and ensure "Display Message On Screen" is unticked, it stays locked when a msg is received
i have this problem but with a hardreset solve my problem
Im having the same problem, ive got all the alert tones saved in the phone memory and have tried a hard reset too.
The reset improved things but still getting some messages being received without the alert sound being played, im assuming its a fault as several people are having the same trouble.
I got exactly the same
It seems that the problem only occures when you're not in the home screen. When i'm in the front (home) screen the sound works fine. But if i'm in the contact look (personalized look) its silent.
Can someone confirm this?
The same problem also with vibration....
It must be a softwareflaw, i can`t wait till HTC gives the first rom update...
Does somebody know how long it took before the first rom for the diamond 1 came available after its release?
I've only used Radio 3.44.25.27 from the new HTC Asia ROM for a day so I can't be sure, but the random problem of no audio/vibration alert that I used to face with Radio 3.43.25.19 seems to have gone away.
Having the same problem except mine plays the tone but doesnt vibrate!!!
Any news about this topic?
I had this problem also until I enabled SMS wakeup as per craiglay's post
These things should be fixed by HTC if u ask me. Workaround is great but I;ll wait till a hotfix is released

[Q] Problem: Android 2.2.1 freezes all apps

Hello,
Before everything:
I have a SGS with Android 2.2.1 JPY, rooted 2 months ago with 1click or something like that
It all happend yesterday... I was talking at the phone for aprox 2 minutes when my phone started vibrating... I sad ok, maybe some app just crashed, it happens. After i closed the call, my phone didn't respond to any command (any kind of button, power button nothing).
So i tought ok, a good old pull the battery out reset should do the trick. After restarted the phone... what could i see... the settings (with google account and sht appeard) and my background changed
Then i started receiving messages from A LOT of apps the i had installed (Titanium Backup, Color Note, so on...) that they crashed. My contacts are gone too (recovered them in the end), and it seems i can only use 5% of my installed apps (basicly the ones that come preinstalled with android).
What should i do ? Did someone else have this problem ?
Yes, same **** happened to me last night !
I did a hard reset and reinstall all and now it's working ok.

Hello!... I will tell about my case.
I bought the ZR in august 2013. It was rooted and flashed to 4.2.2. Everything worked fine. Until January 2014.
The first problem was - Silence during calls. I was not able to hear something. And my voice was not heard on the other side. In tests microphone and dynamic worked fine. External dynamic and earphones did not change something - silence during call remained.
After some time (phone was on and off... and again... and battery was removed some times) problem disappeared. But after one day it came back. And disappeared again... and came back... and so on for few times. The other functions all the time worked good. I only was not able to talk during calls.
I flashed the phone to 10.4.1.B.0.101... and to some previous firmwares by Flashtool. But nothing changed.
The next stage after some days was: I turned the phone off. And after turning on it was not been able to see the network. And wifi was not working. I went to settings and saw - IMEI and MAC have disappeared.
I flashed phone to 10.4.1.B.0.101 again. Nothing changed.
And after a little time phone said something like: "the system application stopped" ( I did not remember exactly). And than after rebooting it went into:
"the phone goes up to locked homescreen and then screen goes black and restarts automatically".
I think our cases may have one problem in basis. And I think the problem is in hardware.
I will go to service center. But I think they are not very good in fixing phones here...

I have the same problem, have you been able to fix it?
Since you say no IMEI then you have to fix that first of you are on warranty unroot play dumb and get a replacement
If not look for the fix

To replace the phone or get money back I should give the phone to official service center in my town. They have 45 days to fix phone. If not - i can get money back. So the phone fixing procedure may be a long time thing. I bought xperia z1 compact. And I have not a lot of time for going to service center. But when it will be done I will write here about the result.
And it's not rooted now of course
Problem was solved. Sony changed some electronic parts of my phone. Now it works good. It was the hardware dysfunction.

(Problem) S5 G900A keeps restarting

Hi guys. This issue just started happening a couple of days ago, it started when I was playing games (phone wasn't hot) then it turned off by itself. My battery was still at 80% so I turned it back on, after it started saying "starting apps" it turned off again and the phone is now constantly rebooting. It doesn't seem to be bricked at all as it sometimes boots to the menu but when i start tapping on an app it shuts off and does the constantly rebooting issue again. It could be a hardware issue which means I'm gonna need to send my phone to the service center for a repair but one thing that makes me think there could be a way of fixing this without paying a technician is, when i boot to download mode, it doesn't do its constant reboot issue. I was even able to flash a firmware via Odin but when the phone started to boot after firmware installation, It did the spontaneously rebooting in the middle of the boot process again. If any of you guys have any idea on how to fix this or if there's even a way to, Please help me. Thanks! Cheers!

Try flashing the experimental firmware from the rooting guide, and if that doesn't work then it is most likely a hardware issue, and I have a strong suspicion that it is.
If you have an external SD card, remove it and see if problems persist. Honestly that sounds like a firmware scrambled.

Speaker phone automatically turning on while receiving call

Hi,
I have started to get this weired issue after the 8.1 update.
Whenever I receive a call, after picking up the speaker phone turns on automatically. I have to manually turn off the speakerphone, also it does not indicate that the speakerphone is turned on.

Solution is mostly the same for all of the problems.
Do full factory reset.
Setup Google account
Don't install any apps just yet.
Try if problem still exists
In most cases this will help.
What I've learned since my first android device, all of the custom ROMs etc, is that the updates are causing loads of problems.
Once in a while, especially after version upgrade, is worth doing full reset just after updating.
This doesn't apply not only to android, but pretty much every single device on the market.

Thanks for the suggestion, But by full factory reset do you mean the hard reset from the recovery menu or just the factory reset from settings menu -> factory reset..?
facing same issue please help
i am facign the same issue please help me out
Still no solution for the problem...I have made an habit to turn speaker phone on and off immediately after calling .
Try Macrodroid app to set an automatic task, to turn speaker off 1 or to seconds after receiving call.
I am also facing Same issue, can any one give suggestions
Somehow that happened to me when I just got the phone a few months ago. I think that was still on 8.0.
But tapping the speaker phone button 2 times everytime I have a call became nature for me and eventually after a few days, I no longer have that issue.
Are you still having that speaker phone issue now?
Yes...but while it was consistent on 8.0 it has become a random occurrence after 8.1 update
same issue
factory reset solution is not acceptable.
