So i got little problem. When i connect my HTC Desire 500 to my pc it do not show phone files on pc ( tried on windows, and ubuntu ). On phone screen i got " USB Connection" image. Sometimes phone just reboot when i try to move the cable. Anyone got solution ? When i try other cable ( that that htc gave me in box) phone do not restart and it is still not showing on pc.
In fastboot: there is msg that its connected by usb but i cant do any commands still got msg " Waiting for Device "

heya folks.everytime i connect my phone to pc via usb cable my photos in 101media folder are deleted or lost(dunno exactly what happens there).there s a weird problem.my other files are ok but "photos taken" lost if i connect to pc.1 month ago i plugged my phone to pc b4 installing htc sync software.windows wasnt able to install driver so my Phone was locked.I tried to remove battery.So removed and rebooted.Im not sure b4 this problem occured b4 i buy it.It s second hand phone or that was just my fault .also phone deletes too weird rewally whats wrong??

Try connecting a USB cable to a PC and flashing an SBF file...

i cant use RSD at all, the phone just not loaded into the software, like it`s not connected to the PC
and i cant get to the OR, it directs me straight to the flash screen

Does the phone still say "CONNECT USB DATA CABLE" even when a cable is connected? If so, try another cable/USB port/PC.
If you've tried at least 2 cables, 2 PCs, and more than 1 USB port on each PC, then you might want to contact your provider for warranty options. They'd never know you rooted/flashed it in this state, as the code on the device is corrupted and sending you straight to the bootloader.
I had the same issue .....i had to send it for repairs

every time i connect my phone to the computer(running windows 7 starter 32 bit)
i can not select the usb mode on my phone.it just keeps charging.
i have tried two different usb cables and its still not working.
when i connect it to my xbox360 i does not recognize the phone as a media storage device,
is this a problem of my phone or the computer??

Seems like a driver problem
just update ur pc drives . . . it should be working fine then .. .

Im using a stock v30a rom and windows 7.
Yesterday i tried to root my phone with the latest version of AIO tool.
I followed instructions to the letter but while rooting the screen remained blank
AIO tool displayed a message "nvflash started" and went idle.
Rooting older versions was a matter off seconds so after a while i figured nothing
is going to happen and unplugged the usb cable.
The AIO tool then displayed a "usb write error"
The phone is working fine now but when i connect it to my pc in mass storage mode
It disconnects and reconnects all the time as if i was taking the cable in and out.
I did a hard reset , reinstalled LG united phone driver but that did not help.
Update: I connected the phone to a pc at work and mass storage works fine.
Can someone please help me uninstall the nvflash driver?
Looks like the presence of both drivers confused windows.
Figured i post the solution just in case someone has
the same problem.
Remove battery plug usb cable with volume up and down pressed,
Windows recognise "Nvidia usb device" go to device manager and
uninstall its driver.
If next time you connect the phone you get "cdc serial device not
connected" error reinstall lg driver and you re done.

so any USB connection is not working on my LG 4X on fresh installed stock soft [4.1.2]. On PC i got message ,,failed to install MTP usb device'' etc
Also i dont know how to turn on debbuging mode, maybe this will help? I click 7 times on compilation version and all it do is some jelly on screen (?)
I tested 2 usb cables and all usb ports on my computer what to do now?
I also installed LG PC suite and LG usb drivers from LG site.
Please help guys i need to put some porn on my phone :/
I have a similar problem, only that to me is the worst. When I connect my phone to usb, is only charging . I tried to put it in mode (S / W, bootloader, recovery) and nothing but charging.
