I believe you nees to flash the pit file in odin to repartition it, then flash the firmware.

Think you have to use pit file and check re-partition in Odin to change your file system.

You can do... While trying to flash with odin you should enable repartition button. Follow the video guide...
How to flash Stock ROM
Yes.
Here's a thread with Odin + the .pit file and the stock firmwares.

[Q] Bricked S III mini 'N'

Hi there,
So my phone restarted and showed a screen with corrupt blocks on it after an update with ROM toolbox pro...
Nothing happens when I try to turn it on apart from the corrupted screen.
The device does boot into download mode if I press the key combo and I have tried reflashing a whole selection of images via odin without luck.
I have also tried the PARAM_I8190.tar.md5 fix but Odin complains I have no PIT partition.
I tried to flash the goldenxx.pit in Odin but it reports that the partition cannot be written...
It is a UK model from Virgin (8GB)
Help please!!!
Try 8190N pit file here its on page 2

I love you so much
Feared I bricked my wife's phone!
Managed to flash PIT and now going to reflash image.
Do you know why this could have happened?
You flashed wrong pit for a start. Always flash correct firmware for your phone. Keep that PIT handy just in case you need it again. What did you update with Rom Toolbox that caused it.

If you stuck at factoryfs.img then you device is bricked.
Replace the motherboard
or
try the workaround (and it is only that) with the repartition method described in hg42's thread.

still same.. i flash pit file from hg42 thread stuck on set partition..
here i attaches the image
How will it move ahead? You have not selected any PDA files to flash.
And why did you flash that PIT file? Have you done any scans using the scanners found in that thread to determine the bad blocks?
ENter all the 3 files without PIT! and tell again!

How to Downgrade from lollipop 5.0 to kitkat 4.4.2 (G900F)

Dear All
I want to back to original 4.4.2 ,, any suggestion to back while my mobile is still in warranty :good: :good:
lookup here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2741302&page=94.
For me worked like a charm
for me not working, I cannot revert back to 4.4.2 stock with odin
I change the bootloader but still no success
1. Flash 4.4 with Odin
2. Flash PIT file
3. Reboot. No reflash needed.

Exactly at the end of flashing 4.4 it gives error. It fails.
Maybe first flash pit and do re-partition and then flash 4.4?
Do you know where can I find g900f pit file?

It's supposed to fail at the hidden partition (size). Just flash the PIT file and reboot as I said.

I see that there is some people he does not even have to flash their original flash
now they want come back to kitkat with a dangerous method for novice
if you fail to flash this rom who y want flash it not for y phone ( not same pit )
ty flashing your original rom not random rom from sam
I succeed why not you ( i have knox 0x1 )
1- wipe all ( or reset F )
2- flash with odine you latest kitkat ( with same latest bootloader ) ( the major problem some people don't know here original rom)
3- reset f
i wana downgrade is it possible by not wiping data?

Battery life on 4.4 is way better. L needs to be more polished. No project volta is there as far as i check in 4 days
I return to kit kat from lollipop when I find the first firmware for my sm-g900f and after flash with Odin when phone restart you need to of the phone go in recovery factory reset and wipe check partition and restart phone. You are now in 4.4.2

Pit file method didn't work for me. All I had to do was to find exact rom that came with the phone. Then it went through without any error message.

Normally repartition is not checked by default in odin. Further which version are you trying to flashing? Which one you have? Give some more details to seek help from xda family.

Download latest firmware thru samfirm with check marks on binary or something like that which will reset your phone on favtory condition and rebuild all partitions. Be aware with this method your phone will be restored just like new one and data and other will be gone.
