Is there someone that have a rooted stock nandroid backup 4.4.4 eu for my xt1052 to restore? Can you send it to me? Thanks
Never ever try to restore other backups other than your own backup, it will brick your device

Hi
I had my moto x unlocked and I flashed verizon 4.4.4 stock rom, but now I want to change back to England version of 4.4.4, but there is no sbf for me, so I want to request a CWM backup of England version of XT1052 which included boot, system and recovery, thank you
Also,is the baseband of Asia retail version XT1052 same as England version's?

can you still get into recovery like CWM or TWRP? If yes and if someone posted the backup .zip, you can put it in TWRP or clockwokmod in sdcard, and restore it in recovery , that's what I want to do

If your phone has an unlocked bootloader, just go to whatever custom recovery you've installed, and take a backup of your system from there.

Not if you ONLY check SYSTEM and BOOT. Then none of your data will be included in the backup. These guys really need a backup - I know they will be extremely grateful if you share your backup with them.

Guys, I am using indian version XT1052 unlocked but recently i flashed t-mobile flashable zip of 4.4.3 and now want to update to 4.4.4 so can i restore this backup of system and boot with twrp?
I'm planning on flashing my X back to stock, but have a question. I have a XT1053 Dev Edition running 4.4.4. Is it safe to use the 4.4.3 SBF for this?
I know in some cases downgrading causes a brick but since the OTA from 4.4.3 to 4.4.4 was only 16 MB, I'm assuming not much changed and it should be fine. But better to ask those who likely know better than I.
Thanks

Did you make a nandroid of your 4.4.3 phone?
On my XT1060, I am able to go back to 4.4.2 nandroid after taking the 4.4.4 OTA and then unroot by hand. And another poster on an XT1058 was able to go back to a stock 4.4.3 nandroid after upgrading to 4.4.4.

Then the safest thing to do is to wait for the TMobile 4.4.4 sbf to show up.
No, you can't flash 4.4.3 if you've been on 4.4.4. Not without great risk. ?
Could he download the 443 sbf and flash ONLY the system IMG via mfastboot that should be safe right
I wouldn't. That's all I can say on the topic. I don't get involved in downgrade scenarios....seen way too many poor folk brick trying. :good:
why is Moto being so slow with releasing the image?
They don't release it....it's leaked..
So its anybody's guess how long. Usually doesn't take too long. ?
Thanks guys. I've managed to rig a workaround to the issue I'm experiencing. So I can wait.

There's this thread of firmwares:

But I don't know how to tell one from another. My country isn't actually in this list and I bought the unlocked international version from Sony.

And you didn't read the part just above that! Take a look closely at the UNLOCKED bootloader section... as it says...
"Don't know if your bootloader can be unlocked? See Post 70"
If you followed that advice, you'd have had your answer and not needed to ask the question.
It contains a little background so you can understand, then a link/info to Moto's site which has pretty much the same info/steps in the link @Megatron007 supplied to unlock the bootloader... and even says how to root after you've unlocked the bootloader.
