Hello;
We have been working in Smart Unlock app and we would like to share with the community.
Smart Unlock has been developed by KuRouZu and HaZeX.

With Smart Unlock you can skip the lock security while connected to a trusted Wi-Fi or Bluetooth devices. No slide, pin, pattern or facial recognition will be requested while connected to trusted devices. This app works on android 4.1+ and does not need root or any other software.
This app bypasses both the slide and the secure lock screen when enabled and connected to a trusted environment, meaning if you press the power button to wake the device, you're immediately shown your home screen.
We hope you can help us to find test our just released app in several diferent devices, and report any malfunction or bug if found.
A 7 days trial version of Smart Unlock can be found at google play, but after that time the app will ask to purchase the full version.
To avoid this issue and give a better app to the community, we have created a special version of Smart Unlock for XDA members. This XDA version is limited to 3 trusted devices , but you can use the app as long as you wish.
Download Smart Unlock v1.6 XDA version - HERE - (max. 3 trusted devices) Last updated 5-August-2015
Download Smart Unlock v1.7 Beta XDA version - HERE - Last updated 7-September-2015. Changelog beta here.
Download Smart Unlock from Google Play - HERE - ( 7 days trial)
IMPORTANT!!!!!: Some issues found with Samsung Galaxy series with touchwiz. We are working to find a solution. Please do not leave bad reviews because of this. On google play we have excluded the app for download for those devices on Google play.
To Do list: (our next things to implemtent for near future)
- BLE (bluetooth low energy) We will try make the app compatible with smartbands and smartwatchs that uses BLE.
- Add NFC
- Try to solve the issues with samsung and/ create a samsung edition of the app.
- Manual lock button without "close and exit" app.
UPDATE!!: We have been working on a new app Smart Unlock Universal - Compatible with Samsung and with some other devices that were causing issues.
Please note that this version does not support Patter Lock, only PIN and Password
Works with android 4+ and 5.1+ BUT DO NOT WORK ON android 5.0 , 5.0.1 and 5.0.2
You can try it now, we would appreciate your feedback:
Download Smart Unlock v1.5.3 UNIVERSAL XDA version - HERE - Last update 3-June-2016.
FAQs:
- Can I use Slide to unlock when connected to trusted devices instead of no lockscreen?
No, we can only set Slide to Unlock in secure areas if we configure the PIN inside our app, exactly like similar apps do. We do not like this because you can not use lock pattern for example. We prefer to keep the app without slide to unlock at secure areas but in addition you can select pin/pattern and use system default settings.
- Can Smart Unlock work with Smartbands and SmartWatchs?
We are working on it. We may have a working apk soon.
- The application does not work with my bluetooth device
Maybe you have a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). This kind of bluetooth are not supported yet, although some models works, we are working on it. In the meanwhile you need a normal bluetooth device like Car audio, Parrot or any BT loudspeaker. The bluetooth device must be paired/connected to the phone os tablet.
- Sometimes the app stops working or/and has been closed.
Make sure your are not using any task killer or memory optimizer that stops apps in background. If you are using any of those apps, you can add smart unlock in their exceptions list.
Here you have some of the detected incompatible apps but there may be more:
- Clean Master
- ES Task Manager
- SONY Smart Connect
- Llama (profile manager)
- ACDisplay
- Snaplock Locker
- Gravity Screen Pro
- Airwatch
- Is this app compatible with my SAMSUNG device?
Sorry but we can not make the app to work with most SAMSUNG devices due to samsung modifications in the native android lockscreen keyguard.
But the app is working properly on Samsung Google Edition or with custom ROM like CyanogenMod.
- When NFC and Location features will be implemented?
We can not guarantee an exact date. Actually we are working on improving the stability of the application before continuing adding new features.
Hope you can help us with our testing. We are listening for suggestion.
Thanks for your time
IMPORTANT!!!!!: We can not make the app to work with most SAMSUNG phone because they have modified the lockscreen keyguard native in android. Only working properly on samsung google edition or with custom roms like cyanogen.
Note: This app has been developed by KuRouZu and HaZeX. Please feel free to contact us in a private message if we can help you in any way.
I've been using on an M8 with Skydragon Lollipop ROM with no issues. Will let you know how it goes over the next couple of days. Much appreciated as Lollipop's Smart Lock isn't quite as good as I'd like.

Hello, Thanks for your report. We created this app because the default android smart lock, as you pointed, isn´t as good as it seems at begginig. We have found Smart Unlock to be far more reliable for everyday use. Thanks for trying the app and we will appreciate any other feedback in the upcoming days.
For other XDA members: If you test our app please tell us the device model and if everything worked as it should. We need testing specially on Samsung , LG and Sony device models. Thanks!
To bad BT unlocking won't work on Z2, I hope you'll find a way to fix it.
In a meanwhile if you want, I can catch logcat so you could see what's happening with a BT on Z2.
I'm quite sure that a problem is in Sony BT security mechanism, as you probably know, we have stock app for BT unlocking and that could be the problem...

Thanks for your offert about the logcat, we may need to send a special apk for this purpose. I have a Sony Tablet Z, I have tested the unlock with wifi and it was working fine but I have no tested with bluetooth, I will do it as soon as I get home.
I hate personalization layers from manufacturers >.< , its a pain for developers.
Thanks for your testing time.

Hi, If you find any bug, please send us the exact device model and the steps to reproduce this bug.
Currently we have detected some issues only on Xperia Z2/3 using bluetooth and Galaxy Note 4. We are working in a debug apk and we will send it to anyone interested helping us to debug for the incompatible devices. We would like to support as many devices as posible. Thanks in advanced.
Such a wonderful app, i like the material design and how simple to use it, and its working just fine on lg g3 custom rom 5.0
But the only thing i didn't like about it is the screen never locks up!! In Google smart unlock when u r connected to trusted device and wants to unlock the screen it takes u to the lockscreen and then u swipe to unlock or tap the locker to lock the device !!
I hope u give an option to do that , it will be perfect ☺☺

Hello! THanks for trying Smart Unlock!
Showing a slide when connected to trusted devices is not possible for an app without root (at least as was as we know). We will investigate more deeply as we think this would be a great feature.
We appreciate you noticed the materials design, we have done more work on interface than we are used to.

Hi again.
We have bought a Sony Z2 for testing. After some tests, Smart Connect is not what generates de issues (as we belived).
In sony Z2 with android 4.4 there is an option at settings "unlock with bluetooth devices" , Make sure this is disabled because this will create issues with Smart Unlock app and sony xperia models.
We have also to notice that SWR10 smartband es a BLW (bluetooth Low Energy) and this can also be responsible of the BT interruptions and the unlock request after switch on the device screen. This issue is generated for the BLE devices and we will try to find a workaround for this kind of devices.
Anyway, on Z2/Z3 and other sony models should work fine under wifi and/or normal BT devices (not BLE) as far as the native sony unlock solution in "settings>system>security" is disabled.
Hope this helps!
There is a new update on Google Play with some visual improvements on low resolutions and the problems with Z2 and Z3 are solved. We will keep on working on this app, hope you like it.
Regards
Just tried this on my S4, GPE 5.0 rom. Works great! Thank you.
Just wondering whether it would be possible to have the option of it not completely killing the keyguard? I kind of like it (as long as it's swipe to unlock at home).
Just tried this on my Nexus 4, on version 5.0.1 and works
Thank you.

Thanks for posting this, although unfortunately it does not seem to work with my phone.
OnePlus One on CM11S (44S) 4.4.4 with Pinlock using trusted WiFi.
When screen is on/unlocked, the icon shows "Device Unlocked," however when I hit the power button and on again, the pin screen comes up and I can see the Smart Unlock icon in the "locked" state until I enter my pin.
It does however work fine on my tablet using the same Wifi (Samsung Galaxy Note 8 on CM11 Nightly).
There was also mention of a potential debug build for troubleshooting? I'd be happy and willing to run this to collect some information if you are interested in making it work on the Oneplus One. I'd really love to have this functionality on my phone!

So this started in the Cognition thread, but I figure it probably is useful for other ROMs and people.
So are you like me? You've hooked up your bluetooth mic, and pressed the voice action button and your phone looks at you stupidly? Wouldn't it be nice if there was a way you could start Google Voice Actions or possibly Vlingo's Recognize and Execute?
Here's the thing, currently Google Voice Actions and Vlingo can't hear over the bluetooth mic. Still, this will launch the voice app, and allow you to speak through your phone's mic.
I've considered creating a version where you can select any app; however, unless there's some demand for a feature like that I don't want to go through that kind of pain and suffering.
Feedback is appreciated.
Oh and finally, this is a very early version, so you won't find it on the app market or such. If I have time, I'll polish it up, but for now, this is good enough to fix the issue for most people.
If you find this useful, please let me know. There's no reason to polish something no one needs/uses.

1.5 Beta
So this is a little rough around the edges but it is functional. The first load will be slow, but application names are cached after that load. Still need to indicate what the user has selected in the past as well as sort the list.
2.0 Beta
Fixed the rough edges, nice radio buttons in the list. Sorted alphabetically. Oh and TheYar suggested waking up the phone to run the action. Not only is it doing that, but it'll bypass the screen lock.
Now some are saying, but wait isn't that a bad thing? Well yes and no. First the screen lock comes back when the action is complete, or bluetooth launch closes. Second, bluetooth headsets must be paired first to get access, so a thief would have to know to grab your headset and phone to get into your phone. The risk is low but not 0, so in the next version, you'll have a way to turn that feature on or off.
2.0.1 Beta
As TheYar pointed out, there's a bug where you may have to hit the bluetooth button twice. This is a bug in the underlying framework and there's nothing my app can do about that. That said, I added a vibrate on launch feature to this new version. No other changes were made.
Change Log:
11/19/10: 2.0.1 Beta Vibrate on launch
11/18/10: 2.0 Beta Choices shown, remembered in the list, sorted alphabetically (so learn your ABC's) and phone wake, lock screen disable.
11/17/10: 1.5 Beta Select any activity, better icon
11/12/10: 1.1.1 Updated some text, added icon
11/11/10: 1.1 Added Settings and Vlingo
11/10/10: 1.0 Initial Revision

Sweet!
Unfortunately it doesn't do anything for me, running Cog 2.3.3. I've turned my headset on/off, BT on/off, no response to button.
Pressing "Confirm Selection" doesn't do anything either, should it?
Update - Rebooting makes it work, stupid me...THANKS!

Confirm selection saves the settings. I should change the name, thanks.
It shouldn't require a reboot, but there may have been something subtle going on that a reboot fixed.
Updated!
Added some polish. Launcher icon + text changes to make things more clear.
I think it would be handy if there was some text to confirm that the settings were set.

So I had some time to play with things over the weekend, I'll be releasing a new versions soon.
Features will include:
Selecting the activity you want to launch
Better icon (not washed out)
This app works very well. You did a great job man.
Teaser
Got this working today, takes way too long to load right now, and only shows the names right now.
Hooray. I am happy to report that I can now use my BlueAnt T1 to control the Google Voice Commands. Awesome! Even though it passes the audio to the phone my headset still thinks my phone does not support it. But it works well enough for now till I can get an updated firware on my T1 headset.
I'm using Cognition.v2.2.Beta7.UCJI6 at the moment.
Beta Version Up
New version up, calling it beta because of the rough edges.
Enjoy!
Updated to the new 1.5 BETA. I switched back to my Plantronics Voyager 855 until I can update the firmware on my T1. The beta works. Thanks again for releasing this.
Wow this is great. I've been wanting to voice dial on my Captivate ever since I got it and this is the first time I've been able to do it.
I've noticed that often it doesn't respond until the second time I try to activate it. Maybe this is just a delay, not sure.
Any thoughts on how this could function when the screen is locked? Google voice actions are pretty powerful, so I doubt that full voice action functionality would be possible from a locked device. But maybe someone has some 2.2 source from another platform that includes how a call might be initiated over BT even when the screen is locked?
Thanks for this app. Loving it.

It appears to be a bug in the handling of bluetooth with the system, I can reproduce it without my app. Basically it appears that the system isn't releasing the bluetooth handle in a reasonable way, as my headphones that do bluetooth to both an iPod and a phone at the same time won't start playing again. I wish I could fix this.

This is a good idea. Look for it in a few minutes.
I just got done adding 1.5 to another DG ROM zip and decided to check here before flashing it. I'm am so psyched!!
Since you seem to be greased lightning on feedback and improvements, I'll throw another one out there - voice feedback into the headset speaker to let you know it is ready. I know that this functionality might better sit with the launched app (and sometimes does), but perhaps a configurable option to detect when the launched app has launched at least, and then react by saying "ready" or such in my ear. Then I'd care even less than I already do about the handle release problem with the bluetooth stack.
As for the lock screen bypass... yeah. I'm a security pro myself, but I agree that the risk there is low and acceptable, compared to the risk I face trying to security-unlock my screen while driving. Watch out though, people tend to freak out on this issue. The press went wild when the Droid opted for default Voice Action access through the lock screen, referring to it as a major security bug and design flaw. Of course, in that case it was accessible even without a headset, just a long-press of the search.
Let me know when this hits market and charge money for it, or at least offer a donation. Gladly pay. Considering this is the first time I've been able to accurately bluetooth dial since 6 years and three phones ago, you are officially a genius.

Your previous comment came in at just the right time to add an extra piece to the development cycle. The feature was easy, so I got it in. That said, playing through the bluetooth device appears to be a hard thing, I'll see what I can do about this. The easier thing to do, which I'm going to put in place soon, is to simply vibrate the phone, so that'll be the first step.

This is why I want the user to explicitly configure if they want this behavior. I'll look at adding a menu with settings. I want to get that done before I add in playing though the headset.

Actually, this is my first app, so I haven't paid the fee for developers to the app store. This is relatively simple, but I may put in a paypal link for development supplies. You know the standard: sex, drugs (beer), rock and roll.
I don't want to tip my hand for the other ideas I'm going to work on, but once this is mostly complete, I'm going to start on my next couple of apps, which I'm affectionately calling "Ring Rules" and "When I Get Home" right now. Those will likely have free and paid versions in the app store. (Assuming I get enough time to write them.)
Word, vibrate on launch. Dug. My handset is usually in a cradle or empty seat or sliding around the floorboard somewhere, so I might not get to use it much. But definitely a worthy X.X.1 enhancement. Looking forward to the other two apps you tease there; if my guesses are correct then they would both be of value to me.
On the lock-screen bypass: definitely, making it configurable would be preferable and snazzy. But on the old Windows Mobile Voice Command, this was configurable and disabled by default and it still got a good bit of bad feedback as a security bug. My 2 cents would be to make the setting work like the USB debugging setting in a stock ROM. Enabling it requires you to acknowledge a pop-up that warns and explains the risk. This might limit the number of armchair professional comments you get in the Market that are all caps and scream about how your app has security bugs and allows people to hack androids and steal all the datums and megahurtz off of them.
Hey thanks for this app, used voice dialing and commands all of the time on my Tilt with WinMo 6.0, only real downside of Android is not implementing this feature in an easy to use format IMO. I'm still figuring out vlingo but I can finally use my BlueAnt ST3 the way I used to, or almost anyway. Thanks again.
I started with yur earlier version that did Google Voice only, then the one that you could choose between GV and Vlingo.
Just installed latest version, and getting FCs.
I don't know if it is because I am selecting wrong COM item under (I've tried several under Vlingo, and get double vibrate, then FC each time) the app, or this application itself. But bringing up a long list of all the different components of various programs makes it immensely more difficult to get an operational program.
Going back to earlier version for now.
[EDIT]
I was able to get it to work with Google Voice, but never did with Vlingo.
I now realize that 3 vibes is normal. I'd prefer an option to turn that off.
Hi,
We worked on this project for months and since we're almost ready (very few days left) to launch the first beta on the PlayStore I think that it's time to share some info around the web and not only on our community.
ACUI is a set of four apps: ACUI Key&Touch, ACUI Touch (and ACUI Touch with material) and ACUI Base (which include three different themes), designed to best improve your Android experience in your car.
GOOGLE PLAYSTORE LINK
Finally we have a little teaser for ACUI A2DP feature.

Same issue for me.....
For non-phone devices the Tablet version will be fit your needs.
I tested it on a Samsung Galaxy Trend which have a 1Ghz SingleCore CPU and 512Mb of RAM so it should also work on the S150.

Just a little news.
We have almost done with the development of both ACUI A2DP feature (which will be available for every version of ACUI) and ACUI A2DP hardware. You will be able to read sms, make calls, answer call, send sms and a lot more!
hi, i purchase the app, i have a car android 4.0.3 S150 but not install in google play, system not compatible message. any idea?
The A2DP code is ready and working like a charm. We will record a video really soon.
The first proto of our bluetooth adapter is ready too. There was some noise but we managed to reduce it at 90%, I think that we will manage to completely reduce it. To use this module you will only need of just one aux input in your car. The module will be connected to the aux input. The tablet with ACUI will be connected to the module via AUX cable and the phone will be connected to both the bluetooth module and to the tablet with ACUI installed. The module will also allow you to have one extra AUX input in this way you won't have to unplug the module everytime you want to plug another MP3 player or whatever you want.
After that you WON'T need to touch your phone anymore. You will be able to answer/reject a call, access out/in/missed calls, send and read SMS (using both android keyboard and your voice), access to phone contact list, create a new contact and listen to the music stored in the phone.
New feature will be added in the future.
Please note that this feature will be absolutely FREE if you have ACUI Key&Touch, ACUI Material or ACUI Touch.

Hi Guys!
We've great news for you.
As we previously said we're preparing ACUI Key&Touch to work with hardware buttons but we also:
- Deeply changed the way MeteoInfo are gathered by ACUI. We made the code far lighter but we also add a couple of feature like home city, destination city meteo and meteo update when GPS location change.
- Improved YouTube integration (recording a video now)
AA Passenger
https://github.com/martoreto/aapassenger
What's this
With this app you can have two phones: one is the driver's phone, running Android Auto as usual.
Then you can have another one, e.g. handled by passenger. Passenger can then do 3 things:
play any music via car speakers (for now this requires root on passenger's device)
find some destination in Google Maps or another maps app and send it to Android Auto to navigate there
display pictures on the Android Auto screen (e.g. display how the hotel you're driving to looks like)
What's new
1.9-alpha9
AA Passenger: fixed Oreo crash
AA Passenger: fixed casting volume
1.9-alpha8
audio streaming, without root! (experimental)
audio streaming, without passenger app! (experimental)
works also with Hotspot active on the driver's device
AA Passenger now also available from Play Store
driver's app renamed to AA 2nd Seat
now compatible with Android 5.0 Lollipop
many bugs squashed
support for an NFC tag which launches or installs AA Passenger app
note that both driver's and passenger's apps must be updated to work together
Installation

Can you describe some more what exactly you can do with this and how?
Can we install this android auto sdk somehow and use this?
Is it possible to have android navigation eg navigon running to a smartphone to display in android auto screen?

You mean this app or SDK? I assume app.

find some destination in Google Maps or another maps app and send it to Android Auto to navigate there

play any music via car speakers (for now this requires root on passenger's device)

The SDK itself is for developers. It allows writing new Android Auto apps.
It rather won't help much in modifying existing apps to run on AA, as the logic behind AA apps is quite different than for normal apps.
The SDK is used like any other Android library.
I published an example demo project (linked in README) which shows how.

It is somewhat possible, for example by creating a new Andoid Auto app which mirrors the screen of the phone on the car screen and then somehow circumvents the fact that Android Auto displays its own graphics on the phone screen.
It's also possible to modify an open-source navigation app (I'm experimenting with OsmAnd recently) and implement the Android Auto functionality.
Many thanks for description. Very good. I would pay for an app mirroring passenger screen to android auto screen.. (showing anything passengers screen shows, video, navigation, etc).
I think many others would like this, if anyone could implement it..
Sent from my SM-T700 using XDA-Developers Legacy app
Any ideas for what other things than navigation, watching videos while stopped and dangerously distracting the driver while driving would this be useful?
Hi Martoreto
Thank you for your work and for the SDK. I tried to you your passenger app now. But I have to say I failed. I don't have rooted my phones yet, but you wrote to send (push) pictures should be possible right? Currently for me it is just possible to send a point in maps. Other than that if I try to send a picture with printscreen it shows "sent to Android Auto" but in Android Auto happens nothing than 1 second of black mirror. I think to push pictures no root is needed right?
Thanks for replay

Hi @Sissi1991, thanks for trying the app.
I see good news that you established the wireless connection successfully, which was one of the major concerns I had with the app.
You're right, sending photos should work without root. I saw another report in the SDK thread, when the example app could behave similarly.
Just to make sure it's the same: when you take the screenshot, the screen on Android Auto becomes black for about a second, and then appears the AA home sceen?
Also, does the same happen when trying to send some other picture than a screenshot (like Gallery -> <some photo> -> Share -> Send to Android Auto)?
A note about rooting: it's required only on passenger's device (to make audio work).
@Sissi1991, feel free to try the new release:
https://github.com/martoreto/aapassenger/releases/tag/0.9-alpha2
Couldnt make it work also, same problem as Sissi (tested the previous 0.9 alpha 1 version only)
If sending a picture from gallery, it gives an error 'error resizing image'

Ok, this looks like another issue and alpha 2 rather won't make any difference here.
This error shows on the passenger's device, right?
If possible, please PM me links to:
- Android bugreport captured after this error (Settings -> Developer options -> Take bug report)
- The picture which failed to send
Thanks for trying this out.
Thanks for developing such a great idea

Yeah, I expected that Wifi Direct may have some connection issues. Nevertheless, please do this:
On driver's device open "AA Remote Settings" -> "Enable discovery".
On passenger's device open "AA Passenger"; if the setup wizard shows up, go to the "Pairing" page.
Wait 5 minutes.
On both devices, capture Android bug reports, upload them somewhere and PM me the links.
Thank you, ill give it a try.
Pairing through Wifi direct isnt indeed ideal and it takes a while to get connected, i get why using 'passenger' smartphone, but as the driver is driving the passenger could use the connected AA phone i think
@martoreto installed and tested new version! Works perfect. Keep on your good work!

Just my 3 cents on this idea: some things can be done with this AA-connected phone, and this doesn't need any special app mostly.
I don't know how it is on other phones, but on my HTC One M8 I can open any app even when AA is connected using tricks like opening notifications drawer, going to Settings, Apps etc.
But even then Maps can't be open on both AA and the screen. It can't render at the same time to 2 destinations.
Then, fiddling with the cable can easily disconnect the nav.
That's why I go with the idea of using the passenger's phone, with his/her music library, maps favourites, bookmarks, whatever context etc., to make car travel a more "together" experience.
Let me announce a new major release: 1.9-alpha8
It has two new main features, namely:
Audio streaming without root, as rooting was rather a major blocker for
this feature to be useful.
Hotspot mode. Now the apps don't rely on Wi-fi Direct only (but it's still supported).
They will work also if the passenger's device is connected to the hotspot started
on the driver's device.
Full release notes:
audio streaming, without root! (experimental)
audio streaming, without passenger app! (experimental)
works also with Hotspot active on the driver's device
AA Passenger now also available from Play Store
driver's app renamed to AA 2nd Seat
now compatible with Android 5.0 Lollipop
many bugs squashed
support for an NFC tag which launches or installs AA Passenger app
Note that both driver's and passenger's apps must be updated to work together.
Enjoy!

What to do about the not not working volte? Earlier even after june security patch volte with jio was working fine but ever since hmd released that server update, it's all messed up. Can't make calls at times and the data doesnt work most of the times. What should i do?
Dual sim dialer and hands free
Hi my previous dual sim phone had a dialer where you could key the phone number and press one of 2 dial out icons (one for sim1 and one for sim2).
Is an option like this available in the standard rom 7 plus ?
I have set the default dialing sim to sim1 so that hands free works as per my previous phone. Is this necessary for hands free ?
Anyone here from Korea? I cannot use VoLTE. Apparently, Nokia phones are not registered in the VoLTE here. Living in place that has the fastest internet and call connection, the 2018 phone becomes the bottleneck. Smh.
Does anyone know a workaround for problems like this?
Hi,
I've got two questions.
1. Is it possible to stop Google Play from adding new icons for every app installed in the default launcher? I don't want to change my launcher, hence my reason for asking.
2. Is it possible to have multiple variants of messengers in the phone, kind of a similar feature in S7 after Oreo update? I need one for my work Sim.

Yes, you just need to disable the Add Icon to Home Screen setting in the home settings - see screenshot.

No, no native dual messenger option in the Android One version. The China market software, on the other hand, does have this function (my wife has the Chinese version of the 7 plus).

Hi all,
just got mine. So far i like it. There are a few things that bother me though.
1: settings->storage->internal shared. At the bottom in system i have 13GB used. Why so much? I cant imagine that android 8 uses so much.
2: in developer settings i saw aptx, aptx HD and a lot more to chose from. But every time i select anything else then the default and exit dev options, it reverts back to default. Why that?
Im on 8.1.0.
Thanks!
PS: is there some PC software available for the new HMD Nokia lineup? I know in the past there were the Nokia PC suite and Ovi suite but i doubt they work with the new phones.
I have a really odd WiFi problem with my Nokia 7 plus. I had problems when I first set it up - I couldn't enter my Google credentials over WiFi. It would only work with a SIM inserted to use mobile data.
Since then it appears I can't browse, or use applications on the Nokia 7 Plus which use secure connections over my home WiFi - eg. Twitter, Amazon login etc.
No other devices (Mobile Phones, Laptops, Tablets/ Smart TVs) are affected by this problem using the same network, no special rules have been created for this host on my WiFi AP/Router.
And I don't get the problem on other WiFi networks - only the Nokia 7 Plus on my home Wifi. Anyone else experienced this or know what to do to fix it?

Hello,
Am rocking a Nokia 7 plus but it is now stuck in April security patch after downgrading from Android p beta 3 to Android Oreo 8.1.0 .Also checked manually in the system settings but still no luck.
Any help will be appreciated.
How is the build quality?
Hello
I have just bought this phone couple of days back and i am loving it so much so far.
I have not even touched its ceramic coated back yet and have just put the plastic cover as soon as i opened the box,
Is the ceramic coated rear and overall build is such fragile to spoil quickly ?
My mom's Moto G5 Plus still has decent quality back after an year of not very careful use.
So, what is your suggestion ?

IDEA BEHIND THIS SOFTWAREAs a long-time secondhand Xperia user, I have always preferred the Japanese version due to its lower price and Grade A quality. It is widely agreed upon that the Japanese version of the Xperia has slightly different hardware and software, and is often full of bloatware and dead services, especially for releases prior to the Xperia 1.
I have been developing this script for a long time for my own personal use, but I noticed that there are many people on the internet asking how to convert the Japanese version to the global version. This inspired me to create the Xperia All In One Debloat (XAIOD) tool, which allows users to easily remove bloatware with a single click. This tool is made with love for the Sony and XDA communities.

Feature-All in one EXE
No need to download ADB separately. Simply download and run XAIOD.exe anywhere, with its own built-in ADB (note: Xperia driver may need to be installed manually for some devices).
-Simple as click and wait
While advanced users can use the manual mode to select specific settings, this software is designed for simplicity. Just click and select what you want to remove, from vendor/operator apps only to full bloatware and dead/Japan-specific software, with just two clicks. Wait for the process to complete (note: depending on your PC hardware and phone vendor, it may take a long time, but it is easily cancelable with the escape key if it gets stuck).
-Almost foolproof
There is almost no way to break your phone with this software. It has triple fool protection (no joke - I really don't want to be blamed if someone uses this in a very stupid way) and has been tested on two real Xperia devices (Xperia XZs and XZ1 with Android 8 and 9) to the extreme, with no harm done to either device. However, someone may eventually find a way to use this in the most "unhuman" way possible, so please use with caution.(For the average user, this is 99.99% harmless, even if unplugged/rebooted during the process.)
-Completely offline
For those who may be wondering or concerned, this software works fully offline. There is no need to enable a firewall or make any changes to your antivirus software. If you prefer, you can simply disconnect from the internet and the software will continue to function like a charm (With the exception of external links like xpricheck.com, which I have included for reference, because let's face it, even I can't write out the entire database of Sony smartphone information that this software is indexing. But don't worry, it won't affect anything on your end. Unless, of course, you're dying to know what SOV35 or S0-5k stands for. In that case, just double click on any of the devices under Supported Models menu)
-Provided by me, maintained by us
This software could have been made in just two days, but I am taking it one step further by adding all future features now for easy updates. While it took longer to create, it will be easy to update and I am now finished with my work. It is now up to the community to provide me with app lists. So, while the native device list is currently small, the compatible list and community list will grow over time, thanks to you - those who help test by using it, adding more devices by giving/donating your vendor app names, and confirming whether things work or not by commenting.
How to use
Download this Software + download Xperia driver (if needed only).
Enable USB Debugging by going to:
Settings > System > About phone > Tap build number (Android 8/9/10)
Settings > About phone > Tap build number (Android 11/12) Then:
Settings > System > Developer option > USB debugging tap to on (Android 12)
Settings > System > Advanced > Developer option > USB debugging tap to on (Android 9)
Settings > System > Developer option > USB debugging tap to on (Android 8) (Enabling "stay awake" is recommended if your display turns off in less than 5 minutes)
Plug your phone into your PC with a data cable (no more than 1 device)
Run the software.
Wait until the software recognizes the device. If the software is not detecting anything, check your phone and allow USB debugging on this PC.
Check if your device's status is native/compatible or not supported.
If native/compatible, hit auto mode and select the apps you want to debloat (more info below).
There will be a progress bar in the middle of the screen. Wait and please do not touch your phone or computer (finishing the process may take longer than other steps, so please be patient).
After it finishes, you will be sent back to the main menu. At this point, all is done.

How to Help this software grow:There are three ways in which you can help this software grow:
The easiest and most effortless way is by upvoting, sharing, liking, or following me on XDA, YouTube, or Instagram. One single like already makes my day!
Using an APK analyzer is another way to help. With this app, you can see package names, which are the most important thing in this software. To do this, download the app, take a screenshot of all the app list on your phone (cropping, removing, or painting over any private apps if you wish), and send it to me (don't forget to include your phone variant, model, and operator).
If you are an advanced user, simply comment with your whole phone's package names that you have dumped with ADB shell.
if you play roblox. i do open donation inside "donate me". and maybe consider pay to add custom feature? or new custom Easter egg?. or if you that damn rich. why dont buy full source code XD
Any help counts, and for the first user who provides package names, their username will be written next to the device model in the Supported model menu.

Your welcome. Well currently im busy with other project. But If you send the app list from your phone or app name or link to apkmirror if any. I can update it right now and probably available tomorrow. But remember the current list is base from real devices and tested. The app you might want to remove may connected to system or effect stability. If this the case then i am not add that. But still feel free do provided the app list to this post

No osaifu keitai is nfc relates to sony nfc type f. I tried but removing this also make nfc relate functions unstable that why i dont add it. You can remove the launcher/osaifu-keitai app manually you want but i dont recommended

"Compatible: No app list yet" means that a list of all apps could be possible and then uninstall whatever we want ?

If you mean selecting something specific or similar, then no, it's not possible yet. However, if you mean uninstall using other similar model then yes. it all app that same as list get uninstall(but not whatever you want though), I am currently working to allow external list / custom list that can be made by anyone for anyone at anytime. whoever due to busy with other thing, due to being busy with other things, the development of this feature has slowed down. Nevertheless, I am already working on it. for now as long it sony,(and not softbank as I don't own it and cannot find a trusted app list for that model) you could try remove it manually via manual mode. it not perfect as same app but on newer phone change slightly the naming. but probaly remove at least 70% of the bloatware, as the hidden one normaly doesn't change the name On the other hand, if you are using SoftBank, unless you send me the app list for SoftBank, there is no list available at all.
