What's your favorite case for your G2 (white Verizon)? I don't need OtterBox Defender bulk or protection. But would like the case to offer protection and feel good in the hands none the same. Having the buttons covered would be a great bonus.
Wanted to add the screen has a Zagg (original) screen protector on it. Any cases that don't interfer with it?
Cruzerlite Bugdroid on my Verizon G2. Fits perfectly with just enough protection and allows a screen protector to fit as well.
I have a Ballistic and I like it. It fits good, isn't too bulky, and it covers the back buttons. My wife has a Trident, which is also nice but is a bit bigger. No button coverage on the Trident. Both accommodate a screen protector just fine. In fact the Trident case comes with one.
http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Neo-...-Armor-Case-for-LG-Optimus-G2/1877761621.html
I have this case. It keeps low profile, protects the corners (most important for g2) and has soft touch tpu on the back. Nice to hold. Previously had spigen slim armor (this was way too heavy and too bulky), cheap tpu case (i think the phone would be better of naked rather than in those 0.3mm or 0.6mm cases, cause they provide no protection at all).
Would like to try that Diztronic tpu case that everyone seems to recommend. But i dont want to pay for shipping as much for the case itself. 17$ total Whoaat. Also i think cheap tpu case provides almost the same protection as that Diztronic one.
Puregear slimshell i think would be the perfect case for me, but its too expensive.
I have the Verizon and love the Incipio Feather. I've dropped my phone several times and the case does its job. No dings or scratches on the phone. Very low profile. Nice soft rubbery matte coating. quality plastic. Tough.
i dont know if it fits the verizon, but i have a spigen slim armor and i think it's a very nice case... but the buttons are not covered...
I use the Incipio Dual Pro and love it!
Diztronic case is best for me...

Wow! I actually have the Dark Blue version of this but I found the Cyan version is only $5 plus Free Shipping. Mine is starting to get beat up, so $5 is a steal. Incipio is the best. The product is quality and solid. It has a awesome powder rubber coating that helps keep it nice and clean/scratch free. It isn't painted or made of cheap brittle plastic like other cases.
Just FYI on the price.
Update: Incipio typically comes with 2 screen protectors also... which makes it an even better deal.
Just received the cheapest possible matte TPU case from ebay, cost me less than 1€ and it's just great! Fits perfectly, there is absolutely no chance the phone will fall off from it. The cutouts are fitting perfectly (the simtray cutout wasn't necesary tho, you don't change sim card too often, or is it just me?) even though they aren't that well detailed, but hey, it cost less than 1€! The material it's made of isn't too jelly or soft, it's pretty solid piece of rubber-plastic and feels nice and not that cheap. I'm very, very pleased with this one!
undoubtedly the Trident he best case IMHO is the Trident Cyclops – a look at the car-driving-over-phone video here

I have leather flip case over one year now, protection is great but it is annoying to open the case every time I need to use the device. I’ve ordered Spigen Slim Armor this morning.
i got an otterbox commuter case so far it's pretty good. rugged but good looking
Got surprised with how well this case is made, it's plastic, rigid, and gives a nice sandstone oneplus one like feeling, also got a screen protector free. In my opinion, worth of money, it's slim also and scratch resistant (tried giving it a rub with my keys).

This is mine flip case, made by Teracell. Bought it at local store. Its really beautiful, but it has few bad sides.
- I don't like that it doesn't cover top and bottom edge of the phone
- It doesn't have a magnet for holding cover, so it usually stays open
- Its really small hole around flash and it makes flash bounce of it on pictures, making flash unusable

Cool case but won't work with the Verizon since it is a tad thicker because of the Qi Wireless Charging.

Hi,
I really need recommendation of a case for my Nexus S. It is i9020 Super Amoled GSM version.
I am going to give this to my family member, and she said that she does not want thick ugly case.
What would you recommend?
It does not matter about the material, the only requirement is thin ... and easy to apply.
In the past, I did not use any case for my Nexus S. And now, I have moved to Galaxy Nexus (also without a case).
So, I have absolutely no experience with case
Thanks.
Thin cases usually don't provide any protection from fall and it seems like you are looking for the "thinnest case" possible to provide protection from scratches, scuffs, etc.
How about going with the double sided ZAGG invisibleShield? I use it on my phone and it's great.
http://www.zagg.com/invisibleshield...es-screen-protectors-covers-skins-shields.php
Another cheaper option is to get the full body skin from bestskinsever.com. Essentially the same concept, but without ZAGG's warranty. Much cheaper too I think.
In terms of an actual case, I think the thinnest I've seen are the Incipio Feather cases. They don't cover the top and bottom of the phone, but they are very thin and they just snap on.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120828904305
I just bought a white one, these are super cheap!
I was looking at ZAGG, but I think it is a bit difficult to put it on, like applying screen protector films. Trapped bubbles ... I don't think she likes that.

Again, the transparent/invisible skin is difficult to put on, especially me.
I failed many times with screen protector.
Btw, Incipio Feather is one of my option, but I found it difficult to find for Nexus S, especially in Europe.
Well, she is not too clumsy with phone. She will drop it once or twice ... I gave her my HTC Desire previously and it got some scratches
How about TPU case thing? Which one is thin ... OR I saw some kind of rubber or silicon that protect nicely.

TPU is good. It has a good fit and provides some protection from small drops. I actually use a TPU case if I want my phone to feel safer, like when I go running. Its also very easy to put on. You can buy them from ebay or from dealextreme.com, but dealextreme has a very long wait time.
Don't buy silicone if she wants a smaller case. Silicone provides a better grip and has more impact absorption, but it is usually thicker and sometimes does not fit well. Also, keep in mind that if you buy the Incipio Feather cases, they won't fit perfectly if you have the shield protector on the back or around the bezel.
Here's a few pics of the TPU case I have. I got it from dealextreme, came with a generic screen protector and a soft tip stylus for $3 CDN, but it took a month to get here.

Hi sm1ke,
Nice case I think. Do you think it added quite a thickness?
I am now comparing yours with Rearth Ringke: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yo9swPPpDVU
Is yours i9020 (Super-Amoled, GSM) model?
The thing that I don't like with Rearth Ringke, it is rubbery which you can see at the end of the video review above.
And what brand name should I use to search yours on eBay? Because I think "TPU" is just the material type, not the brand, correct?
Thanks.

Yes, my phone is the i9020a, GSM model. I just measured the thickness and it is about 2mm thick, maybe 1.5mm. It does make the phone feel thicker, but only by a small amount.
My case doesn't have the rubbery feel around the screen, its more like plastic. Also, it is firmer than the Rearth case on the sides. It still pulls away a little bit, but not as much as the Rearth case.
I bought mine from dealextreme.com. This is the exact one I bought (It says PVC in the title, but in the description it says TPU):
http://www.dealextreme.com/p/protec...s-for-samsung-i9020-nexus-s-grey-57055?item=9
I also found this on eBay. They look like the same type of case but with a more solid color. I may order a white one. (This listing is for the i9020 4G model)
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/FROSTED-TPU-...807163?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item43aea439fb
Also if you search "nexus s mercury" on eBay, you'll find cases made with similar material, but they have actual cut outs for the power and volume buttons. Nicer I think, but also more expensive.
Similar to Zagg, I suggest this naked shield for nexus S... It's not so simple to apply, but the final result is very good.

ZAGG is one of the easiest screen protectors to apply. Unlike dry screen protectors where it is common to have bubbles, the ZAGG invisbleshield uses a "wet" application meaning you can slide the protector around until you get it right. Also since it is wet it's easy to remove all the bubbles.
I would be surprised if you HAD bubbles with a ZAGG protector.
I've wandered around for selecting my beautiful phone, and now I need a protective case. Thinking about Spigen's cases but I dont know which one to choose- Slim Armor or Ultra Hybrid? Or another case? Thanks for your time.
Best to go with SGP Slimarmor
Been using it for a few month and hav dropped my phone like a lot of tmes....) still in a good shape=)
Tempered glass + SGP slimarmor is best choise to go=)

Got the ballistic urbanite and it's been great.
Not really fond of the backside that is glossy but it offers great protection against 6ft drop & good edge cover.
Also protects the screen AND has a cuttout for the IR Blaster!

Unicorn Beetle Heavy Duty Is the best one rn.
None, the HTC M8 has an aluminium body, it doesn't need a case only a proper screen protector and you're set to go. A replacement body costs $35 US from China, with free shipping, that's the price of a case.
AliExpress.com carries several colours as well, red, blue, black ...etc. And opening the M8 is probably one of the easiest things to do, two adhesive tabs and 4 screws.
This phone is very solid, I've dropped it several times, it has some scuffs but like I said, a very solid built phone.
The screen protector is key and if it wasn't for that I would have scratched my screen a couple times when I dropped it.
Pure Gear is the way to go for screen protectors.
I'm using Case-Mate

Case mate are the best my one is perfect
I have spigen slim armor, and some 7eur tempered glass from ebay.......more then satisfied with it.
Once my phone fell on the concrete from like 5m (i was on a ledder), and the phone didn't suffer any damage at all, beside few scratches on the spigen case.

I have to second the Unicorn Beetle case. Mine is about a year and a half old, but I'm thinking of replacing it with a cleaner one instead of cleaning the one I have.
Slim armor is great but slippery for some. I have grey one, i think they now have black one in mate. I dropped my phone several times and nothing happened. Some drops were bad. I do however prefer UAG case
I have a Otterbox defender and can't go wrong with it.
I'm using the Dot View case, I haven't dropped it on pavement but it seems to do pretty well on carpeted office floors. Also, it's cool as hell.
SGP is good enough to protect M8. I use it and drop my phone 2 times

one of the easiest? M8 is one of the worst phones to take apart. an old galaxy and most non-unibody phones have a removable back panel to access the sim/sd/battery and require no tools and no time to replace.
i like the spigens personally for aesthetics and protection.
agreed on the screen protector unless you like to spend a couple hrs taking the entire phone apart. only other android phone i know of thats worse is a M7
Third vote for Unicorn Beetle. Less bulky than the Otterboxes, and has built in screen protector. Mine is also kind of dirty after 18 months of use, but photos are still good and there's no funny bubbles or anything between the screen and protector.
I'd honestly recommend a simple see-through gel or snap-on case. This phone has a beautiful design, and having a case like that will keep it slim, yet still show the elegant design while keeping it safe from dings and scratches. Pair that with a tempered glass screen protector and you're set.
Slim armour is a good case. Like someone said above the coloured ones are slippery but the black one is matte finish that looks and feels quite nice. They do add a bit of bulk but I have small girly hands.
I am currently using the Case-mate tough (http://www.amazon.com/Case-Mate-Tough-Case-HTC-One/dp/B00IZFYGO8) which I seem to go back to most of the time. I find it a bit less bulky than the Slim armour.
I have also used the Case mate naked tough (http://www.amazon.com/Case-Mate-Nak...1-1&keywords=htc+one+m8+case+mate+tough+naked) which I liked but it kept getting bits behind the case which detracted from the look for me.
Used both the white and black Case mate barley there which I used on my old HTC desire, but I find now that it doesn't really provide the protection I want.
Personally,i would like to share my experience,I am not worried about where to find the really cool case featuring logo any more until I came across a pretty useful blog at blog.onu-mall.com/?cat=5 filled with tons of useful publications including how to pick the right cell phone case by googling how to pick a quality cell phone case, tracking the blog,i was surprised by a online shop with huge selections of various affordable cool htc one m8 cases, i bought a really fashionable creative Sweet 3D Fruit Juice Cup Design Silicone Case at onu-mall.com/sweet-3d-fruit-juice-cup-design-silicone-case-for-htc-one-m8-one-2-green.html for HTC One M8 for my girlfriend, she is so impressed with the unique 3D fruit elegant and fashion juice cup design easy access to all buttons, controls and ports, allowing her to enjoy totally new visual experience, i am so happy making she surprising and would like to share the online store named ONU-MALL ONLINE STORE!

Thank you bro
i also had otterbox commuter with my s3 and i can say its one of the best cases you can find for any smartphone, very recommended
The otterbox commuter is on my G4 now (plastic back). Super beefy corners and the port protector flaps close perfectly. No problems in my jeans pockets with the extra bulk. I had the commuter case on my old Nexus One and I remember thinking "these little flaps aren't going to last" but I was proven wrong and I'm buying again (after skipping otterbox on my S3). I do admit to having some leather flip case envy . . . maybe this is the phone I'll have 2 cases for.
I have few questions regarding the Otterbox Commuter, I hope that someone can answer them:
Dose the commuter case with the phone inside is wobbling when you put the phone on the table?
Dose it also have a curved shape as the phone?
Dose wireless charging working with the case?
Thanks.

Phone in the case does wobble a little bit when you put it on a table. It wobbles and settles down quickly.
The back of the commuter case does have a curve.
I have not tried wireless charging so don't know.
I have One of my G4's in the Commuter (Black/Black but I painted the gel case part Red) and the other Two G4's are in Defenders and I must say I love both of these cases. They are solid as a rock and make me feel like my devices are well protected.
Though I have been looking into more case options, both for the "wow" factor on looks and a more slimline protection option (Though the OtterBox does not add an unreasonable amount of bulk by any means, sometimes it is just nice to have that stripped down feel, like a bumper for example).
Thank you
Hope it doesnot add too much bulk or weight to G4. I am using Spigen and it's comfortable

My synergy adds bulk but the phone feels solid think htc titan. Id also prefer the ultra thin slimmed down feeling. I prefer minimal pocket scratch slight bump protectors. Still looking. Slowly building a collection as i find interesting ones.
I want to show some love for Otterbox cases, I had one on my Samsung Captivate (remember those?) and last week I finally upgraded to the G4 and my Otterbox is still holding together fairly well. Very little battle damage done to it after years of use and abuse, the rubber plug over the power/data port came off from excessive use and a six or seven year life span. I carried my phone everywhere, indoors and outdoors, used it as a music player while working in the field - dropped it many times, ran over it with lawnmowers both wheels and blades, and the worst damage done was a slight chip to the plastic that was sanded down easily. Defenders will probably outlast your phone. And I loved that with the belt clip I could flip my phone around with the screen out so I could have a clock while it was plugged in. I've got a Supcase on right now because I lack funds and it was really cheap (pricewise, not sure about quality yet) but I do plan to get another Defender for my G4 when I get some extra money to spend.
If anybody has one, can you put the phone in the belt clip and still see the screen?

Diztronic Full Matte Flexible TPU - Somewhat thin while probably offering the best coverage out of the ones I am listing. I feel like they could have closed the s-pen cut out completely
Ringke SLIM Clear & Black - My favourite case out of the ones I have. The clear one however is fairly slippery, probably about as slippery or more as carrying the phone naked. The black one however is grippy and looks very sleek almost like the phone doesn't even have a case on it.

Rinke is what i have. the clear or smoked one allows you to add something to the back and it's very nice looking. i don't know why someone would spend all this money on a phone and put something ugly like a uag case on it. anyway, here's what it looks like:
I just ordered the Rearth Slim in black. Always liked very minimal cases, that keep the slim profile of the phone, but cover it in case of scratches and minor dings from little drops.
Only thing I don't like about the clear Ringke case is that I feel like it attracts fingerprints like crazy, also gets a bit slippery from what I can only guess is your finger oils. Wanna try out the black one from what the OP stated its provides more grip. Overall like the form factor of the case, very slim.
I currently have the black Tech 21 case I got at T-Mobile, and it's nice and protective, but is a bit thick and beefy for my taste.
I hope the Rearth Slim is thinner and less bulky.
Holy crap this case is AWESOME
Galaxy Note 5 Case, Ringke SLIM
http://www.amazon.com/Ringke-Essent...1442611872&sr=1-1&keywords=note+5+slim+ringke
Wow, just wow. I have never liked a case so much. This thing fits like a frigging glove, very tight close fit, and is almost like a thick skin as opposed to a case.
Yeah this won't save the phone from big drops, but it does prevent dings and scratches, and feels much better in the hand nice rubbery grippy feel, than the naked slippery phone.
Looks nice... I would consider it
I've been rocking the black ringke slim on my GS5 for over a year and it definitely has saved my phone from many drops (phone is spotless). Also my brother is using one on his GS6 edge and it saved his phone from a bad drop recently.

Got crystal but way too slippery. Keeps sliding out of my pocket, etc..
Big thumbs up on the ringke slim. Even though it's slim it just saved my phone big time. 4 foot drop onto travertine tile kitchen floor and phone is still flawless. My heart stopped and i thought phone was definitely gonna be shattered. Case got a little dent in the corner so it took one for the team. Still fits fine though.

So the black one is not slippery and the clear one is?

Yeah. It's weird. You may as well get some other device if you're just going to keep it inside the case equivalent of a tank. I went to a Samsung shop recently and the first thing the sales guy tried to sell me was a huge UAG case.
... and it was ugly as hell -- but you know, the guy who was trying to sell it to me looked like he couldn't afford a Note5 himself and was just trying to sell me the SKU that cost the most.

That's my understanding. Just don't like the plain look of the black one. Clear one is great but too slippery.

Correct. Clear one is ridiculously slipper. Black is grippy.
I have the Ringke SLIM in black, and it's awesome. I was skeptical when I ordered it, but was instantly pleased once I snapped it on. If you're looking for a case that offers protection and improved grip, but don't want to add any bulk to your phone, just get the Ringke SLIM. Don't even think twice about it.

Patchworks Level ITG
https://www.amazon.com/Galaxy-Note-Patchworks-Level-White/dp/B075258BFF
I would say this is a intermediate protection case. It's slim and not very bulky. I would not be afraid to drop this onto hard concrete. Surprisingly nice looking packaging for a brand I haven't heard of.
This case simply hugs the phone, best fit of all the cases here. It's a hybrid material but it's molded as a one-piece case. It has enough grip on the TPU sides. The polycarbonate back has a matte finish so it will probably resist scratches well enough. There is an extra protruding lip near the camera opening so you can tell where to put your finger when you're looking for the fingerprint reader. This has to be the favorite of this bunch. I've never heard of the company but I am interested in seeing what they have to offer after using this case.
I would recommend this case for $13 retail.
-Hard polycarbonate back
-Soft TPU inner
-Really nice fit and finish
-Great fit
-Solid enough for drops
-Has space for metal plate (car mount)
Lumion Huey
https://www.amazon.com/Galaxy-Note-Case-Huey-Lightweight/dp/B074T4LVJG
Thin TPU with nice texture and design on the back. There is no issue with fit and this will be my go-to for a slim TPU case. It slides on and off without much effort but it won't fall off by itself, but it is thin TPU so some may not like the flimsier sides. The company is now called Lumion, but I believe we all know them by the name VRS Design. They make decent cases from my experience with them. Good choice for light drop protection.
I would recommend this one for $10 retail.
-Slim
-Really decent fit
-Soft TPU
-Looks nice
-Brushed metal pattern on the bottom half
Maxboost mSnap
https://www.amazon.com/Maxboost-Midnight-Resistant-Excellent-Protective/dp/B0749CSD7D
Although it's nice and minimalist, it's just stiff polycarbonate and it's not particularly grippy. There isn't much in terms of lip around the camera area.
It's difficult to put on as the polycarbonate is pretty stiff.
I would pass on this case for the price of $8 retail.
-Really slim
-Hard polycarbonate
-Smooth
-Covers most of the phone
Ringke Wave
https://www.amazon.com/Ringke-Absorbent-Full-Body-Resistant-Protection/dp/B074GY1NPX
For a TPU hybrid case, it's very difficult to insert the phone.
They decided to use super stiff TPU. Feels like I was going to break my phone trying to put it in and take it out.
Large/sharp lip would lift your screen protector.
The case looks larger/thicker than it really is, and that's not a good thing.
I would pass on this one even though it's just $8 retail.
-Hard TPU Inner
-Two piece design
-Hard polycarbonate outer
-Large lip
Trianium Clear
https://www.amazon.com/Trianium-Clarium-Resistant-Ergonomic-Shock-Absorbing/dp/B074F4W8SW
Honestly, it's nothing special. It's similar to the Ringke Fusion series and nothing about it stands out. I can talk more about this one if anyone's interested. It'll probably yellow very quickly given the look and feel of the clear TPU.
I would pass on this case even though it's just $7 retail.
-Soft TPU sides
-Polycabonate back
-Cheap feeling TPU
That Maxboost case... mine came in yesterday, and I immediately circular-filed it. Glad I only payed 40¢ for it.

I cant seem to find a case I like smh
I'm waiting on the White Speck Presidio case to come down in price. I have 9 Ringke and Caseology cases. Most are nice but that grip of the Specks is unmatched.

Liking the Patchworks case. I love that it has space for car mount metal plates. This is really useful for me. I know Spigens thin fit case also have this. Anyone know of other cases with such feature?
Could someone please recommend a super thin case that has covers all of the bottom holes with flaps? Including the S-pen, USB, and Aux areas? I will gladly rock a pink case if that's the only available cover ^.^
I can't stand the sharp feel of cases with these holes exposed.
I have the ringke wave. It is very stiff but good for $1.92
Could anyone with the Patchworks case pictured in OP's post comment on whether it works with the Whitestone Dome?

I like the hard and minimalist maxboost look. it sits perfectly flat on my desk at work.
The speck will have to wait because I am in love with the Patchworks Level case. The simple styling and feel in hand is amazing. The grip!!!! It's my daily driver for sure.
I absolutely LOVE the Patchworks Flexguard case for the S8+. Unfortunately I read the Note 8 version suffers from being too loose.
The more sturdy patchworks case came today and it is great!

Yeah this Patchworks level case put my other 9 caseology, ringke and lumion cases into retirement. I wish I had bought every color when the sale ran.
Honestly, I got the PW LEVEL case for $2 on a Slickdeals weeks ago. I have to say I am using it over all my Spigen and VRS cases right now. Everything about it is amazing
Ordered the Patchwork one with TPU clear back on amazon and they delayed it so they sent me the black level case for free. I like it, I think it is just a little bit "slippery" if my hands are dry.

same, but I ordered contour, they sent me the level for free says the contour is delayed and will be shipped today or tomorrow...
Yeah same here. Ordered the Contour and got a Level b'c it was delayed. I'm excited to eventually have both. The texture feel and the size grip texture is fabulous.
I am now waiting for my UAG

Case came, and I can confirm it is NOT too loose. Well, it is a loose fitting design, but it is comparable to the S8+ case. The reviews are being overly dramatic.

The S8+ Level one was super slippery to me - like, crazy insane slippery if you had dry hands, because the back is 100% smooth matte hard plastic. I can't imagine why they didn't give it a little knurling. I was actually considering drizzling silicone sealant back and forth, like a pattern haha. I ended up going with the Flexguard and have been happy.
