I noticed last night my wife's Note 4 is on Play Store version 5.1.11 while my Nexus is on 5.0.38. Is there a way to force the update? When I check in settings it says my Play Store is up to date. I am rooted with encryption off. Is that why I am not getting updated? I flashed the factory image to update my phone when 5.0.1 was released.
When I google the 5.1.11 update it shows that it came out almost two weeks ago.

APK MIRROR is the best place to get the new apks
Here is the play store link: http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/google-play-store/
You can either wait, or download it from here and install it after checking "unknown sources" in settings/security.

Go to the play store and go to the settings. Tap on the version. It should update after that. My play store is 5.1.11 on stock, rooted, decrypted 5.0.1.

I knew I could sideload it but I didn't want to have to do that every single time so I was just unsure if something was broken with my update process. I guess I must just be on the back end of Google's roll out or something.
Typically I wouldn't care about a Play Store update but this one seems kind of nice with the account management stuff.

This is what made me think my update process is messed up somehow. When I go to that settings page it tells me my version 5.0.38 is up to date. I also thought that was the way to force the update.
It might be possible to go into your Settings->Apps and go to the System tab and tap on Play Store. Try hitting uninstall updates and once that's done, go to the Play Store and tap on the version. I'm trying to help without you risking a 3rd party Play Store

Go to settings, application manager/All scroll down to Google Play services then clear data. Then go to Google Play Store then there clear data also. Now reboot your phone. See if that works.

I have tried clearing out the cache and data of my Google Play Store but no luck. I haven't tried it to reboot though.
I've read somewhere that I need to update my Google Play Store? If so, what's the latest version? Thank you!
Your on 4.1.10 that's the latest version I think, Google Play updates itself when newer version's are out. Here try this last version for JB 4.1.2. http://d-h.st/DxV. this is Google Play 4.1.6

Try some of these tips.
Clear dalvik-cache and reboot (doesn't have to be all of the dalvik-cache, you can just delete "/data/dalvik-cache/[email protected]@[email protected]" and "/data/dalvik-cache/[email protected]@[email protected] ").Clear the Play Store's data and reboot.Clear Google Services Framework's data and reboot.Delete PS and GSF's ODEX files ("/system/app/Phonesky.odex" and "/system/GoogleServicesFramework.odex") and reboot.Uninstall updates either via Settings->Applications (or whatever it's called in the Android version on your phone/tablet) or manually delete "/data/app/com.android.vending.apk" and "/data/app/com.google.android.gsf.apk" and reboot.Delete your Google account from your phone/tablet, readd it, and reboot.Edit: I forgot to include clearing GSF's data.

Yes, I cleared the data off my Google Play Store and restarted the phone. It is working now!
Thank you!
Also one of the possible reasons why it is not working is brcause they were running a maintenance in the time when it was night in the us and day in the rest of the world.

I have searched and called high and low all over Google and talked to reps. Can't seem to kick this Error Code 403. It is only the paid apps that won't download. Tried all sorts of methods of clearing cache to play store, Google services, Google framework, Uninstall updates, Factory resets, Removing accounts and re adding. Clearing cache in recovery. All with restarting before attempting a redownload on both WiFi and mobile networks. Please someone help. Out of the box it does this to me and it sucks.

Did you have multiple Google accounts on your last phone? Make sure you are downloading the app with the same account that you originally made the purchase with. I had multiple accounts on my S3, then when I got my S5 I only put one of the accounts back on and was getting this error for a few apps even though GPlay said "purchased". You might also want to check that the date and time on the phone are correct.

You were absolutely correct. For some reason some of my purchased apps were showing on the wrong account under the all section. It went away after wiping and being careful which account I downloaded from. Thanks for the help guys.

My Android Pay app will not start. It always says "Android Pay is unavailable - Android Pay is not available."
I am running a completely stock N6 no root on 6.0.1
NFC is on
Tap to Pay is on

Is there some other setting I need to check? I would really like to get this app working soon.....thanks for any help.

Im in the US....but now I seem to be able to make the app work only when I went into the settings area with turning on android pay within the Google account area. I just can not make the app short cut on the home page or the app icon inside the app drawer open the app. I tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling....but same thing.
I am also using Nova Launcher .....could that be why the app icon wont trigger the app from staring up?

Where did you find that? I don't see any such settings in my "Google account area".
This app will tell you whether or not it's due to your device failing Google Play Services' SafetyNet API. Android pay will only work if the result is Green

Awesome app.....thanks so much for that StykerB. It says my Google Play services connection failed....
I cleared the cache from Google Play Services and Google Play Store....still wont allow the Android Pay Icon on my home screen and the one in the app drawer to work.
But I CAN OPEN the Android Pay app and use it when I open from the Settings>Google> Android Pay scenario. Odd...what is causing the app icons to error out?

I had a similar type of error at some point and what ended up fixing it was uninstalling updates from Google play services rebooting and letting it reupdate itself

Thanks! Unfortunately mine is grayed out with only the option to add cards, because I still haven't been able to get Android Pay set up.
Mine didn't start working until I reflashed 100% complete stock.. I used the wugz tool kit and reflashed to 100% stock.. I still have an open bootloader though.. I had to turn off Google play services reboot then it automatically updated and boom worked.. I didn't even loose my data..

If you didn't lose data, I assume you used Wugz ‘Flash Stock + Unroot’ with ‘No Wipe Mode’, which "preserves your userdata and cache". That is essentially how I got from 5.1.1 to 6.0 and then to 6.0.1 with fastboot.
How did you turn off Google play services? Disable and Force Stop are grayed out in Settings, Apps. I'm already at Google Play services 8.4.89, which is newer than the 7.3 that the Play Store shows. I think I'll give it a try...

Yes, I am rooted at the moment with Chainfire's systemless root 2.64. My plan is to reflash with fastboot, not root, activate Android Pay long enough to buy something and get my $20, and then root again. I still don't see any advantage to pulling out my phone to pay for something, when I can swipe a real card faster. I'm a sucker for free money though.

Anybody else notice that Google Camera is missing from the Play Store? A Google search says this happened back in March, but should still be available to Nexus devices.
I'm not seeing it on my Nexus 6 running the TuPac lite 30D ROM. Curious if others can still see it.

Nope. Still at 560.
I think something may be screwy with my device on my Google account.
On the Play Store settings it shows as a Verizon Nexus 6 but it doesn't show at all on Android Device Manager nor the Android N beta sign up.

mine doesnt show on my device manager either(on my sgs4 the n6 shows up though, and i signed up for N. the odd thing is it does show up, if looking certain ways, but a search on thd play store app it doesnt show up here either. but.. if i go to the page of my installed google cam it shows up, or if i press a link on google via a search it shows up as well.
There was a discussion on the Google Camera missing from the Play Store here. In short, I believe they hid the app so it can update, but cannot be installed.

Strange. I only started noticing issues when I manually installed the first N beta. Don't remember if I signed up for the beta afterward or not but ran into these issues when going back to Marshmallow.

Makes sense, but if the app is installed, it should still appear in the Play Store, even if it's not available otherwise. If it weren't you wouldn't be able to update it, right? Curious about why they did this.
Google Play Services, which I reference in the other thread, cannot be searched for within the Play Store on device or PC. It automatically updates itself, and also does not appear in the list of installed apps. To find it on the Play Store on a PC, you have to know its package name (com.google.android.gms), perform a search for any other app, and replace that app's package name with the Google Play Services package name, in order to call it up.
Google Camera is easier to find. A search on the device won't pull up anything, but it does show up in the installed apps list on the Play Store. If you search on the PC, you'll find it there. You won't be able to install it however unless you have the right Nexus device (5X, 6, 6P, 9) and that Nexus device is apparently stock. Pure Nexus also shows the camera app as being incompatible, though we can install and use it without trouble.
As to why Google did this, I couldn't tell you. Unless it's in preparation for Android N. Currently I have the Android N camera app installed, but I had to get it from outside the Play Store.
I had this same issue. Thought it was just me

Works for me on Android 9.0.0.163.
It's just about LCD Density.
Your new updated ROM may change the ro.sf.lcd_density.. But the Dead Trigger 2 only support a few LCD density value (look at the Androidmanifest.xml of the apk). So, changing the LCD density of the ROM, would be resolve it.
