Ive been searching everywhere, and was wondering if its even possible to root this thing. Im starting to lose hope. So can anybody tell me if its possible to root? Thanks in advance...
I find it hard to believe that you searched everywhere and didn't find an answer. The question has been asked over and over and over again ever since the release of 4.4.4 for the Moto X.
To answer your question: no.

So I unlock my bootloader then do I need to flash CWM? Also what version is best?
Also been looking at Roms. Moto JB looks good but I cant really find much else. any suggestions?
Sorry for all the questions but I dont want to brick my phone :good:
A guy sold me an ATT Moto X and he neglected to tell me it was rooted. So now I'm stuck with root that I don't really want on this phone. I tried using RSD Lite and the All in One Tool that was posted on here but nothing would work with my computer. So, now im just looking for a stock rom I could flash but I can't seem to find any on here for ATT. Any recomendations to fix this? Lastly, would flashing the 4.4 leak that was posted in the General section work? any help is appreciated.

As long as you are on 4.2.2 you should be able to rsd lite back to the most latest 4.2.2 firmware.
Either way, you can flash the 4.4 leak with fast boot
Moto X rocking 4.4

you probably are doing something wrong with flashing the stock FW. check the threads that talk about it and you should be fine. If you are running mac then there is a thread for that. if not then there is a thread for that as well. post in those threads with questions and you will get answers. i wouldn't take th 4.4 leak because you don't seem like you want to toy with your phone. It's possible that those people that took that leak might have to do a little or perhaps a lot of things to eventually take the real OTA. This has happened with other phones. You don't seem like you want to do that much tweaking so just go to those threads and ask questions there and explain what exactly you are doing and the errors you are getting.

Sent on my Gummy running Lenoto X
Also when you first turn your phone on you should have the option to pick your language so just change it to English then move on to rooting it.
Hey guys Whats going on. Well Ive had my S5 for a while now. And When I first got it I remember you couldnt Root the phone and One reason was it would Change or mod something with the Kernel. And doing that you would break your warranty on the phone. It has been a while since I rooted and installed Roms, since the droid bionic. Thanks again
Sooo did some reading and now see there is a Root Hack to finally Root these ATT S5 Phones... Can someone Point me in the direction on how to do this correctly?
I have a Kernel Version: 3.4.0 Tues July 22 2014
Android Version 4.4.2
I also would like to Try some Custom Roms. How do you guys Install Custom Roms?
Does we need to install Safestrap? Or any recovery Mod like that?
What I would like to do is get more from my battery as a Full battery barely lasts me a Full day at work.
Thanks guys and cant wait to get some info and advice here. Always great getting Professional Advice than searching and finding 100 different answers.

Now for some friendly advice it would behoove you to learn to use the search function and search appropriate threads for the answers to your questions. Those questions have been asked myriad times by newcomers.
When one doesn't search then one opens doors to get flamed by members short on patience.
I know I've been ripped pretty bad when I first started.

I can risk my bootloader to get locked please end this big confusion for me someone? help me please!!!
Dude you've made 3 different threads for the same question.
Not done.
People will reply if they want to.
If you don't get an answer do some research.
Pestering everyone won't get you anywhere

******SOLVED******** I got my question answered by @KidJoe Thanks to you sir... Once the bootloader is unlocked it cant get locked again untill or unless we perform the "Oem Lock" Process ... So in any way the bootloader cant get locked again what so ever... And please dont flash the rom of any other carrier rather than your own carrier its a risk.. I Have a rogers X and i will flash the rogers 4.4.4 firmware... Flashing any other carrier's rom is risky even if you are bootloader unlocked... That pretty much solves my question that i asked earlier... and yes i was going to flash the Tmo firmware on my X but i heard that it is risk to do so that's why i stopped and im letting everyone know what the deal is in details.. That pretty much sums it all up...
