Sent on my Gummy running Lenoto X

Also when you first turn your phone on you should have the option to pick your language so just change it to English then move on to rooting it.

hackers already found a way to put custom roms into droid x (locked bootloader). it's a matter of time before the method being applied to other moto phones since they are almost the same.

Unfortunately, these are not "real" ROMs, as they can't replace the kernel or bootloader. For many people this will be enough, if you just want to remove crapware or install JIT, app2sd etc, but they can't do anything you couldn't already do with root access, they just simplify it.
However, there won't be any Froyo ROM:s until an official Froyo ROM is available.
the theunlockr have root the older XT701

and load a custom rom on the motorola xt701

can we do the same way to XT720 ?
I'm very interested to know if this is true too!

Question About Rooting UK X1052

Hi All,
Have googled this and been through various forums
I have decided to get a moto x, got fed up with my htc one and poor battery life, so I really like the size and design of this.
My question is this, can it be rooted and xposed framework installed because I really want to install the intelli3g app (Which is vital for me)
I will be buying a X1052 version. I see conflicting reports that this is okay and some that say it isnt.
IF someone could please please please point me in the right direction before I buy the device I would really apreciate it
Many thanks
Hi,
I have an XT1052 and I unlocked the bootloader, then rooted it. I have the stock 4.4.2 ROM running w/o Xposed framework, so I can't say if that would work. But it can be rooted for sure

I think there is no problem, but, I recommend that you use one of these:

I think XT1058_RETAIL-BR_4.4.4_KXA21.12-L1.26_52_cid12_CFC_1FF.xml.zip may suit you well.

[Q] Root Moto X XT1060 4.4.4?

Ive been searching everywhere, and was wondering if its even possible to root this thing. Im starting to lose hope. So can anybody tell me if its possible to root? Thanks in advance...
I find it hard to believe that you searched everywhere and didn't find an answer. The question has been asked over and over and over again ever since the release of 4.4.4 for the Moto X.
To answer your question: no.
