No Root Access - Galaxy Tab Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have a problem., my p1 is running custom rom omni kitkat upon checking my root access., it resulted no root access so what to do?

Why? Omni hasn't integrated superuser.
What to do? Flash SuperSU zip.
How? Read the omni thread.
PS:it will be integrated into settings app.

Is my GNote GT-N7000 rooted or not?!

My GNote is confused.
On the one hand, BusyBox installer says that it is rooted
but the install fails.
But, when I run RootChecker, it says "Sorry, this device
does not have proper root access.
I have only had this SGN for about two weeks and I would
like very much to have a working root so as to install
and use BusyBox, Titanium Backup, SSH, SFTP, rsync, et.al.
suggestions appreciated for a noob.

May be its partial root.
Download philz kernel xxlri from his thread and flash it from recovery. Reboot and update the su binaries. It should be rooted
"philz kernel xxlri"
OK, I'll go check it out. :good:

to know if you are rooted: download a root explorer, there are many free ones (solid explorer...), go to /system, and try to create a new file. if it is forbidden, you have partial root. if you may, your phone is rooted.
otherwise, just dl philz kernel, flash through cwm, and you will be rooted. but the question is: which philz kernel?
depends on the rom you have. check the rom you have, and dl the appropriated kernel in philz thread.
my advice is to always have on your phone a zip of a rom, and the zip of the associated kernel. if you do something wrong, you always have the possibility to reflash easily a rom only by cwm.
good luck !

Lost access to superuser AOSP KK Rom

after installing omni Rom 4.4.2, I lost access to superuser icon (in setings), can someone help me?
Root methods of stock JB dont work ?
So i think you must reflash the rom
omni doesn't have su builtin, you need to flash supersu
I installed one flashable zip (Su files) in CWM

Need help to flash custom OS S4 active

Hi
I`m helping a friend rooting and flashing a custom os to his S4 active I9295
I have previous rooting experience with htc legend/desire, nexus 5 and galaxy tab.
I have done the following:
Method 1:
Flashed CWM with odin
Entered CWM trying to flash SuperSU, but here I failed.
Error message, and no supersu installed.
method 2:
Flashed CF auto root through ODIN
SuperSU installed and root access OK
Entered CWM
Full wipe
Trying to flash CM12 nightly latest build, but here I fail.
Error message and no Cyanogenmod installed.
Phone reboots with stock samsung OS automatically
can anyone point me in the right direction here?

Root lost again on i9305

Hi.
I have rooted the i9305 with the CF Auto Root and Odin. I have then installed CWM recovery through Odin, and installed CM13 and Gapps mini via recovery.
The phone boots fine, and Superuser is installed.
However, when I reboot, Superuser is gone and root is lost.
I have wiped data and cache+dalvik, and rooted again with the same CF Auto Root method. It does the trick again.
BUT: After reboot, SU is gone and root is lost again.
I have NOT "fixed root" in recovery (it asks when I reboot).
What could I try?
Use TWRP may help. Else when u flash cm13 don't flash cf autoroot as it comes with root and SU if I'm nt wrong. Else go to developer options and enable root access to "apps and adb". See if any of those helps.
Have You tried checking "Respect CM root settings" in SuperSU app?
