after installing omni Rom 4.4.2, I lost access to superuser icon (in setings), can someone help me?
Root methods of stock JB dont work ?
So i think you must reflash the rom
omni doesn't have su builtin, you need to flash supersu
I installed one flashable zip (Su files) in CWM

Thanks all , problem solved

My GNote is confused.
On the one hand, BusyBox installer says that it is rooted
but the install fails.
But, when I run RootChecker, it says "Sorry, this device
does not have proper root access.
I have only had this SGN for about two weeks and I would
like very much to have a working root so as to install
and use BusyBox, Titanium Backup, SSH, SFTP, rsync, et.al.
suggestions appreciated for a noob.

May be its partial root.
Download philz kernel xxlri from his thread and flash it from recovery. Reboot and update the su binaries. It should be rooted
"philz kernel xxlri"
OK, I'll go check it out. :good:

to know if you are rooted: download a root explorer, there are many free ones (solid explorer...), go to /system, and try to create a new file. if it is forbidden, you have partial root. if you may, your phone is rooted.
otherwise, just dl philz kernel, flash through cwm, and you will be rooted. but the question is: which philz kernel?
depends on the rom you have. check the rom you have, and dl the appropriated kernel in philz thread.
my advice is to always have on your phone a zip of a rom, and the zip of the associated kernel. if you do something wrong, you always have the possibility to reflash easily a rom only by cwm.
good luck !
Hi all,
I recently installed CWM Recovery and Cyanogenmod 11 on my I9305T in order to improve my battery life after the most recent stock rom update. Is there a way to root my phone using CWM and/or heimdall? I've tried installing Root_SuperSU.1.02-Busybox.1.21.0 in Recovery, the installation succeeds, but superSU informs me that there's no SU binary installed afterwards.
Cheers.

Download SuperSU from anywere but not playstore. Install .zip file in recovery. Wipe dalvik and cache.
I hope that will help you.

You have to reinstall the latest SuperSU app, the one you have installed now is probably an older version.
I have a problem., my p1 is running custom rom omni kitkat upon checking my root access., it resulted no root access so what to do?
Why? Omni hasn't integrated superuser.
What to do? Flash SuperSU zip.
How? Read the omni thread.
PS:it will be integrated into settings app.
I tried what I was advised here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/not...pgrading-stubborn-software-t3228423?nocache=1
I can successfully flash it but Kit Kat still boots up every time. I don't know what to do. Maybe twrp? How do I do that.
May also be relevant that I cannot seem to boot into recovery to do the fixes after I flash. 4.4.2 stil comes up.
Cheers!
You could just use Odin to go back to stock, always worked for me. The only reason I could think that you could have problems is that you have a custom rom already that changes your build and model.

If you need to install stock rom you need to make sure build number is N900AUCUCNC2 and then use odin to install .
If you need to install root rom install Towelroot from play store and make sure wifi or data network is on during root then install SuperSU
BusyBox (open BusyBox and install from inside ), "Safestrap-HLTEATT-NC2-3.75-B03" recovery from fourm put your prerooted rom in sd card open Safestrap and boot to recovery you will be able to install rooted rom from there .
I prepare install DstrikerZ1 Kai ROM 5.6 at this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z1/development/rom-dstrikerz1-kai-rom-1-0-t2928666
However, it require: "Make sure you have Z1 LP 14.5.A.0.270 pre-rooted and recovery installed"
I cann't find this rom, if recovery installed, that is rooted rom.
Can you help me find this rom or method to install recovery on pre-rooted rom.
Tks.
